Premier Pools & Spas

This company franchises to businesses for advertising and giving a unqualified contractor the appearance of being stable. I had a pool installed and 2 years and 3 months later it developed a severe underground plumbing leak. I found out that Premier Pool and Spa in Chandler, AZ had its ROC license revoked. I called the parent company and spoke to Brian Porter who had a warranty company call me and tell me that the plumbing was only covered for 2 years. I informed Brian and all he could say was that he was sorry. I offered to send him pictures of the bad plumbing work but he was not interested. more

I've been working w 'the son' as mentioned in other posts, he's reluctant to fix errors. After 3 trips from the masons, at my demand, the rock wall is acceptable. Scratches in the pool tiles from the pebbletec process. Poor coverage of pebbles...some areas show too much plaster. NOW, I have rainwater from the patio flowing into the pool...coping is flat, water flows down expansion joints into the pool! CRAZY BAD! 'The Son' says thats fairly normal!! He's coming out next week to try to convince me that water flowing from the patio into the pool in normal...this is the type of crap Ive been dealing with. Several delays, poor communication, slow to respond now that they're paid. more

I think it depends on whom you work with at Premier and how long you have had your pool. Our pool looked great in the beginning and the equipment worked okay in the beginning (3 1/2 years ago), but we had several problems (including two motors for the filter pump within the first two years). They fixed some problems and did not fix others. We also had a grotto and rocks built into the pool that looked great at first, but the finish looked horrible in less than a year. The original installation had its issues--they took more than two times as long to finish as they said. They also dumped/hid the last bit of leftover gunite in our yard that we did not find until we started to landscape. They also tore up about 50 ft of sprinkler pipes when digging a trench for electrical wiring rather than use a bit of common sense and move the trench over a foot and miss the pipes. We initially worked with "the son", but essentially fired him and latched onto someone else there who helped get our pool finished--that second guy was great--I think his name may have been Tom. This is one of those companies that is likely going to go under after it gets turned over to the kids after the founders retire. more

My pool contract was signed 5/9 and the pool was finished around 7/19. With that being said the main problem was communication which caused a lot of frustration. I had the pool equipment guy screaming in my backyard at a young kid that was with him and when I told him he was being unprofessional he gave me an attitude and said he would just leave. The worst was the pool decking guy Dean from earthscapes. He is arrogant and delayed my project and then lied to me and cancelled my appointment because he had a bigger job and then sent his guys out on a Sunday at 6:25 am. Get your own concrete guy. I do not like the grout color that Brian insisted he choose. Other than that I have a beautiful pool at a good price. more

Premier just finished the pool in our north natomas home, it looks fine but the customer service experience was terrible. There is still construction debris in our yard that they wont remove, piles of dirt stacked up against our house, trash in our yard, then they are rude when we call to have it removed. Once the last check is cashed the service goes out the window. Sometimes bigger isnt better, I wish we had chosen a different company that cared about their customers and knew how to schedule and communicate. They had no respect for our yard or our neighborhood. more

I just read about Aqua Pools leaving its customers hanging out to dry and how you guys are coming in to finish the job. Wow! Thats why I went with you three years ago.  In todays economy, only the strong will survive.  Congrats!! more

Very quickly done and very impressive. Destruction & digging crew were awesome and very professional. Granite very quickly and professionally done. Rock work crew very accommodating to new changes and they were very creative. Final maintenance crew fixed minor problems and were instructive. Overall an excellent experience and I would easily recommend Premier Pools & Spas in the future. Should also mention the outstanding support, recommendations and professionalism of all the sales, construction managers/supervisors (Mike, Chris and all other high levels that came out to inspect). Mike, you gave us the exact pool that we wanted and paid for. Forgot the landscaping and concrete crew; awesome, and they made our backyard much larger and made my wife extremely happy with the retaining wall. more
