Great place to live! 1/18/2012

My girlfriend and I moved to Seattle about six months ago and had never been here before, so we had no idea what we were looking for. We looked for apts in the area for weeks until we found this place. The price was right and the location is wonderful. The building itself has everything you could possibly need and the management is unmatched. We couldn't be happier with our choice to live here at the Legacy at Pratt Park! more

Beautiful Living with a Friendly Staff 1/15/2012

We moved in not long ago and have loved living at Pratt Park! The building is directly next to the park so you can easily go for a walk :) The building is modern and clean, very much like a high end hotel! In terms of the property management, Sara is very friendly and great about responding to my issues in a timely fashion. We did need service to our apartment and the Maintenence people are great. more

A Diamond In The Rough For Seattle Apartments 1/15/2012

I moved to Seattle from Phoenix for work. In my hunt for a quality place to live, I came across Legacy at Pratt Park and its iconic ""Wonder Bread"" sign atop the roof. now almost 8 months later, I am in LOVE with my apartment. Studios have beautiful hardwood floors throughout, ample closet space, in-unit stacked washer and dryer for convenience, and plenty of space to truly make my apartment my home. Rent is very affordable, especially for a Downtown Adjacent and Capitol Hill Adjacent neighborhood. Secure, controlled access garage parking at an affordable monthly rate, dramatically cheaper than anything Downtown, and both guest parking and ample street parking available, makes access here and visits from friends and family easy. The staff here, is wonderful! A joy to work with. Sarah and Rachelle in the office are courteous and very hospitable. Both work very hard to ensure that every tenant truly feels appreciated and at home. Wayne, the buildings Technician and Engineer, is a genuine ""Mr. Fix-It""! You will always see him running about the building touching up, cleaning up, and ensuring everything is spotless and pristine. When it comes to maintaining your apartment such as when you get a sock that gets stuck in your washing machine drain, he's the best man for the job and the one you want to call on every time. My lease is going to be coming up in June...and trust me, I will be sincerely considering renewing my lease versus moving anywhere else. If you are looking for a place to rent in Seattle...you would be doing yourself a favor by coming by Legacy at Pratt Park and seeing exactly what makes this building such a wonderful place to call home. more

Great place to call home 5/10/2011

I moved into Pratt over a year ago and am very happy. The apartment is gorgeous, the views of the city are amazing, the fitness center is huge and never overcrowded, and the management is really nice. I can't say enough good things. The property is always very clean. My neighbors are pretty considerate. My rent is reasonable and most people I talk to like living here too. more

Living Here Falls Flat of What's Advertised 1/22/2011

This apartment community offers many amenities for city living and it's great at first glance. This apartment community also caters to many college age and young fresh professionals. So on the weekend, it's like a dormitory and the noise is ridiculous. For community living, this community is soooo disrespectful of each other. Parties mid-week, parties on the weekend, and careless neighbors coming in at 2&3am after boozing it up. What's ironic, is with the secure building you'll pay rent for (gated entrance, resident controlled entrance, and hall cams), residents let strangers in the main entrance all the time. Being located in Seattle's Central District, wouldn't you want peace of mind? The other irony? Police patrol this site every night. Something is fishy about this scene. Having lived here less than a year, I know of 2 breakins. Also, most dog owners suck here. While enjoying the roof top deck, dog owners let their pets loose all the time. They can get careless about poo in the grass outside, and poo in the halls. For those dog owners who are really careful, it sucks that the bad ones give them a bad rap. You'll also hear about all the amentities here, but good luck if you get to use them. For example, I've requested, on several occasions to get a pea patch up on the roof. But no one ever follows up with me, and I gave up about being on the waiting list. Another thing you might experience is trying to rent the club house. They only take reservations 1 month in advance, and it's pretty competitive for the same group of people using it....leaving the first timers SOL. Finally, the management here is unprofessional. They're great sales agents and are warm. But when I've asked for a new parking space, no followup. When I requested a storage space a few mos. after move-in, I got two different rates. All these things do nothing to bring about my interest in renewing my lease. Frankly, it's too expensive for what you have to put up with. more

poorly managed 6/28/2010

first off, they are not responsive to your questions or if you need help once they got your money. they could care less if you leave voice messages or send emails for days. but the main frustration with this property started when they failed to let me know my dog is on the restricted breed list. after 2 weeks of living there they told me that I violated my lease and had to move out. this is despite the fact that I clearly disclosed the breed both on my application and on the pet agreement. it took me a while to negotiate a reasonable solution to the issue. thankfully, I have a lawyer friend that walked me through the process. On top of it all, they gave my assigned parking spot in the garage to a new tenant before I even moved out. This was an experience from hell. Pros: decent location Cons: disappointing service more
