ANOTHER AWFUL EXPERIENCE 8/24/2011

****UPDATE-----I filed a complaint with BBB and Attorney Generals office of LA and I kid you not within 2 weeks of filing the complaints (mid August) I had multiple phone calls from Ken, a letter in the mail explaining the delay and within another 2 weeks I had ALL 3 of my albums! It made me angry I waited so long to file complaints. *** We were married in San Antonio. The engagement pictures we got were great and we received the disc in a timely manner. We used the same photographer for the wedding... he was good for portraits but did not really have the experience to shoot a wedding. Chris Howard at the San Antonio office should have known this. We got some good pictures and the photographers were nice, but I am not sure the second shooter did anything. To make matters worse the photographer did not capture our kiss as he was taking a picture of a baby in the crowd at this moment (you can see in a family friends picture of our kiss the photographer was clearly not paying attention). Anyhow.. we again received our disc of pictures, however, attempting to get our albums has been a one sided nightmare. Think twice before you use this company. If you like writing endless emails and making phone calls nonstop only to leave messages on a machine then you are in luck. I think there are far better companies out there. I filed out a complaint on the BBB website. Seems as though a lot of others have done so as well. more

WARNING!!! CAUTION!!! 8/2/2011

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT THAT SPECIAL DAY. I HIRED THIS HORRIBLE F***EN COMPANY TO DO THE VIDEO AND PICTURES THE DAY OF MY WEDDING WHICH WAS IN 2009 AND I STILL DONT HAVE MY ALBUM. I PURCHASED THE VIDEO PACKAGE THAT HAD THE CINEMATIC TRAILER WHICH I NEVER GOT NOR THE RAW FOOTAGE. THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT OF WHICH I HAVE NO KEEPSAKE. I BELIEVE THIS PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. I THINK THAT IF WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND HIRE A LAWYER MAYBE WE CAN SUE THE COMPANY AND GET THEM OFF OF BUISINESS AND KEEP THEM FROM RIPPING OFF PEOPLE. PLEASE EVERYONE LETS GET TOGETHER ON THIS. more

I WANT MY PROOFS!! 7/29/2011

Do me a favor- before you book online...just try and call. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE EVER- promise!! 8 weeks after my wedding and I have no proofs. Can't get anyone to return my calls, emails, or even answer the phone!! These people are relying on online bookings and taking advantage of people. Sure, the price is good and they may take nice pictures....but what good is that if you NEVER SEE YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS??? I have a friend that is having the same problem with them. They took forever to get her proofs to her and now she can't even get in touch with them to order her wedding photos!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! more

I should have known that something wasn't right about this company when they had to resend my engagement photo CD 3 times before 1 worked! They sent my guest sign-in book and canvas the morning of the wedding! AND the grand finale is that it has been 10 months since my wedding and I still don't have a wedding album! They lie about when the product will be ready and recently they haven't answered or returned my phone calls. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau which they ignored and plan to send a letter to the Attorney Generals office next. I CAN'T REITERATE ENOUGH--DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR! THEY WILL RUIN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY IN YOUR LIFE!! more

WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET 6/27/2011

This has to be one of the worst companies on the planet. The service is horrible and they do NOT get anything right. My sisters wedding was a year ago and we still dont have pictures and they keep making up all these excuses of why they suck so bad. They dont get any of the pictures right and they just slap whatever they want on the bridal books. It looks like it produced in Microsoft's Paint program on the computer. I could have done a better job. This company is so horrible i really dont know how they stay in business. And all those other people with 5 star ratings, I dont know what company they were dealing with but it was definatly not this one. The people are incompitant and dont understand anything. This company should go down the sad excuse it is. DO NOT INVEST ANY MONEY INTO THIS SAD EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY... EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SHOULD GET THEIR MONEY BACK BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!!! more

Horrible Horrible Service 6/14/2011

My daughter was married on June 12, 2010. As of today, June 13, 2011, we still do not have her albums. It took almost 5 months to even get the pictures on a disk. It took another 4 months to get prints. I have called over and over. I have emailed, I never get an answer. It is one excuse after another! We were required to pay everything in advance prior to the wedding but the service has been horrible and the product just okay. NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I would pay more for a more professional company if I had to do it over again. I should have checked the BBB first. This company has an F rating with something like 35 complaints. more

very disappointed 5/21/2011

I would never recommend this place for photography for any occasion. My daughter was married almost 2 years ago(in August) She has contacted the Attorney Generals office, and since then we have received one album(which is mine) the Mother of the Bride. That was several months ago. They are just full of excuses. If they are not gonna do their job then they need to refund peoples money. No one should ever have to go through this to get pictures of the most important day of their life, Especially when they were promised two years ago. I will say they suck big time.. more

Our experience was by far the worst we have had. We were marrined 9 months ago and are still waiting on our wedding pictures. Everytime we call we are given a different story. We made a terrible mistake using them. more

Worst Company Ever! 4/13/2011

We were married in Feb. 2010. That experience went fine. I got the CDs and sent in one parent album and the wedding album in July. I had messed up our album, my fault, and i resubmitted the pictures in september-october. By january i had not heard anything so started to write letters and call. I have all calls logged with as many names as possible. I was told the one parent album would be done in Feb. It is April and it has not been completed. Back in January, i was told that the albums were going to be printed that next week. I celebrate my 1 year anniversary and had a baby and still have not recieved my photos. in the past week i have called each day multiple times and now, no one will even answer the phone! I have left countless messages and will resort to legal action if i don't hear from them soon! I will also be calling Louisiana state BB to see what they can tell me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! more

Brides, Couples, Avoid this company! 4/5/2011

I booked the Photography Shoppe to shoot my wedding 5 months ago because their prices were so low compared to everyone else. Well, I learned it the hard way, but it is definitely not worth the money that you may save. After I signed the contract and paid for their services, I was unable to get in contact with anyone from the company. I decided that I did not want to trust this place with my wedding so I requested a refund. However, I have not been able to get in touch with the owner and have never received any type of answer, although I am not surprised. Do not make the same mistake I did! I probably lost 2000 dollars from actually trusting this place but now that I found another photographer, it is worth it to me just so I do not have to deal with this company while trying to juggle a million other things for my wedding. more

I was married in Oct. 2009 and used this company. I had seen them at several bridal shows and I have to say I think it was the look of their albums that really made my decision. At the wedding I was a little disappointed with how stand offish the photographers seemed. One of them was new and seemed to just be following the other around. What's the purpose of having two photographers if you're going to get all the same shots? I also was robbed of pics with and of my mom in general, save for a handful. They also decided it was a good time to change out memory cards when my dad kissed me as he was giving me away. Even so I was pretty satisfied with how the pictures turned out so I was super anxious, as were my mom and mother in law, to receive our albums. Well I'm going on a year and a half of marriage and haven't heard a word since I sent the order forms. I'm hoping to get it by my two year anniversary but who knows at this point. :( more

Worst Experience Ever 3/17/2011

I was married in March of 2010 and submitted my order forms in April. I was told I would receive the parent albums in about 2 months. After 3 months I called and spoke with Ken. He said he had no idea who told me that, but that they take 4 months. So I waited 4 1/2 months and called back. It took me close to 2 weeks to actually get in touch with someone. They told me some story about a back up on photo printing in China. I finally received 1 parent album in December, about 4 months late. I was told I would receive the second one at the very begining of the year. In February when I still had not received it I started calling to complain. Every day I was told that Ken would be calling me back. I still have not spoken with him. I finally called my photographer in the middle of February to complain, he called Ken and called me right back and told me the album had shipped that very day. Well that was BS because I waited another week and called and it still had not shipped. I finally received it at the begining of March, 7 months late! Still have not received my custom ablum. They posted it online and told me to email with any revisions. I emailed back with 3 small changes and never heard back. I called the office and they told me that the revisions should be online in a week. It has now been 3 weeks. Every day I call and every day I get some lame excuse or they say they will call me right back and never do. I definitely will be filing with the attorney general's office. I have already celebrated my 1 year anniversary and still do not have my album! more

Terrible customer service!! 2/9/2011

I got information from the Photography Shoppe at the Houston Bridal show and was interested in booking them for an engagement shoot. I got some info back after emailing them, and called to do a little probing over the phone. The person I spoke with, Troy Porter, was less than helpful over the phone but the prices were good so I was willing to look a little harder. I emailed him after the call asking for some samples of his work, since they have multiple photographers, and never heard from him again. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I have since emailed 3 more times, still with nothing. I hadn't paid these people a dime, thank goodness, and wouldn't trust them with a single part of my wedding. more

Scum of the photography world 2/7/2011

Hi! Sorry to bring bad news but this is one company to avoid!!! We've been married a year and have no pictures, albums, or really anything to show for the whole two thosand we paid for our package. Looking at the other review I sure wish I had checked the BBB too haha. Oh well. You can't do life over but -- you--- can make a better decision than we did! A friend with a disposable camera would have been a better decision than going with Photography Shoppe. \r \r I don't know what's worse, that these people get away with treating brides like this or that they try to write fake reviews to cover it up... ugg. Look at the list of 15 reviews- all in the same 2 weeks- all 5 stars. They are so clearly fake... We've gotten bulk letters saying they can't produce albums right now in less than 6-8 months, so one must ask- Fake person, did you REALLY enjoy your photograpy shoppe experience, calling people that never return calls, are in the office never and can't produce albums within a year (or two) of the wedding but don't offer a refund? Snort. More filthy buisness practices from the wedding industry's most unethical company ever. Wouldn't it be great if instead of writing fake reviews you would just make your customer's albums and stop wasting our time??? more

Check the BBB! They have an F- Rating for a REASON!\r \r Photography Shoppe was my worst wedding decision. A year later we have NO prints, NO album, and no refund. They won't return phone calls or emails, they basically steal your money - ""must be paid in full in advance""- and then do NOT ever provide you with your albums! They are a giant disaster and the owner Ken is just a terrible human being with no morals or decency at all. My photographer was decent, but let me tell you, she was NOT good enough to make it worth the horror of dealing with them. I emailed their company weekly for 3 months and tried to call them 2x a week and did not receive ANY kind of response; they only have ""business hours"" about 12 hours a week when they will pick up the phone and according to the receptionists they don't have access to album status info.\r \r As far as the other details, at my wedding for package 3 I had 2 photographers, but one was clearly not a photographer at all. She took about 10 pics of the boys and then none for the rest of the night. There were NO pictures of me and my mother- who is a brain cancer survivor I was so blessed to have at my wedding- AT ALL! How do you not take a picture of the bride with her mother??? Also they missed the signing of the marriage lisence completely but pretended to take a picture- I wish they had just admitted it and asked us to pose. Ug.\r \r My albums were ""guaranteed"" to come four months after, and they not only never arrived but no one from the company bothered to let me know there was a delay. Last month my grandfather passed away- it had been ten months since my wedding (which he couldn't attend because he was too sick) and he never got to see the album we made for him. I am crushed that he could not see my wedding albums. I asked the company to rush my albums so he could see it before he died and I guess the year-long delay was their response to that.\r \r Anyways- in short- these people are terrible and you do NOT want to give them your money. more

I booked The Photography Shoppe after seeing them at the Houston Bridal Show. Their service is not good. They were late to my wedding and left before my groom and I left the reception because ""it was getting late."" They were also rude to my guests when taking pictures after the ceremony. Lastly, after I submitted my albums to the company I received a letter a few months later saying that my albums would be another six months because of problems they were having.I attempted to email them and was given no response after 3 emails over a 2 month period. When I called someone finally gave me an answer on when I would be getting the albums. I will be married two years August 2011 and I still have not received any albums. My overall experience was not the best. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. more

Don't do it! 1/31/2011

I booked the The Photography Shoppe through a Bridal Show in New Orleans. I ordered the biggest photography package and added the video. I had one payment left on when it came time to take engagement pics. I called and left messages for three weeks and never got a date or returned calls. My fiance finally took charge and got us a date for pics. The session went great we loved the photographer and the pics. I tried to order my guest book (which was part of my package and never got a straight answer). I realized I couldn't trust this company with the most important day of my life and cancelled them in Oct 2010. I have still not recieved my refund (less the deposit). This is an unethical company who doesn't provide customer service. more

Photography Shoppe of St. Louis MO 1/8/2011

I met Ross of the Photography Shoppe at the downtown bridal show. We had been looking for awhile for the perfect photographer that not only was in our budget but also wasn't just the same old stuffy photography. We interviewed a few photographers but instantly fell in love with Ross's artistic eye. Being a gay couple we also had to make sure that we felt comfortable with the photographer and Ross put us completely at ease. Ross and Tommy shot our wedding. They made the photographic process relaxed and fun! We had our dvds less than two weeks after the wedding and the pictures were more than we could have imagined! I highly recommend the Photography Shoppe for all your photographic needs! more
