Amazing 12/18/2010

I would recommend this school to anyone - but particularly older or nervous drivers. In my early 40s, I not only had never driven but absolutely HAD to get my license for work. I was extremely nervous. The receptionist at Paul's Driving School was totally professional and flexible with appointments - which put me more at ease. When Dave showed up, we practiced in the parking lot until I was comfortable and then went out on the road. He was patient, smart, and most of all totally professional. I wound up taking as many lessons as I needed to feel comfortable - which was NOT as many as I thought - with Dave. I did not expect to become comfortable as quickly as I did. More importantly, I needed to feel confident in understanding the rules of the road, because I did not just want to learn to drive, but to learn to drive safely. Then it was onto the skills for passing the test (parallel parking, etc.). I would recommend the school and Dave to anyone who wants or needs to learn to more

Awesome experience 12/17/2010

I was extremely nervous about driving school - I needed to get my license, and had very little experience driving. I called several schools, but the receptionist at Paul's was the most professional and the most flexible. When Dave showed up, he was professional, calm, and smart. This put me at ease. We went to the parking lot, and when I was comfortable, onto the road. I knew I would go with Dave for the process - and it turned into a great process. I learned and became comfortable with the rules of the road first, and practiced, and got better. Then we focused on skills for the test (parallel parking, etc.). I am now not only comfortable driving, but feel like I have a solid foundation to be a SAFE driver. I am so grateful, because as an older and inexperienced driver I was terrified. I would not hesitate to recommend this school, and Dave, to anyone who wanted real, clear, and safe driving instruction and needs to learn. more

Mojica thank you so much for everything. You?ve been the best driving teacher so very patient with me because of my Asperger's syndrome. Since you and I got started on the road you?ve been telling me that I?m a great driver you wanted me to take the driving test after my second lesson. I also want to thank you not only for taking me through the driving test but also letting me drive on a highway 76 and through the streets of Downtown Philadelphia. My previous driving teacher from Cantor?s Driving School wouldn?t dare let me do that. He said that I need to work more on my steering and how I?m stopping, but you, you were patient with me and knew that I was ready. Lessons with Dave 12/8/2010

Prior to taking any driving classes, I had been behind the wheel about five or six times, which was less than two hours of driving. I guess I started off as an ""advanced beginner."" With that being said I needed help with my turns and I had never attempted to park or drive on a highway. My first class with Dave was all about getting comfortable behind the wheel. He is very encouraging, giving helpful instructions and letting you know whether you did something good, or something that needs improvement. During that first class he also took me on I 95 and it was not as frightening as I thought it would be. Today I had my second class which consisted of parking. The first thing Dave tells you is that parking is the easiest part of driving. Since I had never attempted to park I wasn't too sure that would be true. Well I was wrong, parking is easy once you've practiced several times and pay attention to Dave's instructions. I still need to practice my parking and will need a few more hours to prepare for the driving test. Dave is a wonderful instructor who will never yell at you or get frustrated while you are driving. If you need help give the school a call and ask for Dave. more

MOST DISGUISTING driving school EVER!!!!!!!! 11/28/2010

This is the WORST driving school in the history of driving schools. The guy Paul didnt even show up for our driving lesson, Paul didnt even bother to call and let me know he wasnt going to show up. I am beyond annoyed and disgusted. This is grade F driving school. Paul is VERY unprofessional. DO NOT waste your time !!!! If I didnt have to give it a rating, this driving school would have 0 stars. more

Waste of my life!!!!!!! 11/5/2010

I read about the driving school on this website and it had great reviews so, i decided to give it a try. I had Paul, he ask me did i ever drive i told him no. He had me turning corners and i didnt even know how to turn he grab the wheel from me serveral times. He had me going around trolleys which is illegal and making u- turns. Remeber this is my first time ever driving and im not use to any of it. I would have like it more if he taught me how to turn first then take me on the street. He also talked to me like he was doing me a favor but, at the end of it all he is getting my 80 dollars also. He said i was driving too slow,so we parked the car and he took over. He started driving the car and i swear i wanted to jump out. He ran red lights and was on the phone trying to write a number down while he was driving.Many people like this school but PLEASE ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE...DONT ASK FOR PAUL!!!!! He was was on the phone half on the time telling me which way to go with his hands. I said something to him about it in a nice way but he start saying smart things like. "" You new to this you have to listen to me"" which is true but if im paying 80 dollars for two hours, I want your attention not for you to be on the phone.At the end he told me ""you did good but you not a professional"" of course im not this my first time driving!!! more

GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!! 11/4/2010

ok so i was alittle late on taking my drivers test. my permit expires a couple days before i actually got my license. i really needed a lesson on how to park and everybody that i asked gave me the run around. when i first went to go take my test i failed. then there was a guy named Al the specialist who gave me an hour lesson on how to park and pass....and i did. he was funny, laid back, and cool and by the time i took the test i knew i was ready for sure. i wanted to thank him because i really wanted this...and thanks to Al, today i can drive proud with my license. his teaching method was awesome and i recommmened him to anybody, the first time, you go and take a drivers lesson. you will be sure to pass!!!! more

Paul's Driving School is the BEST 10/29/2010

I had my permit for 2 years and every person that was supposed to help me parallel park stood me up. I failed the first time I took the test. Then I found Paul's Driving School. The first time I had Mr. C. He came and picked me up, he was very nice, patient, and encouraging. The second lesson I had was with Dave. He gave many pointers on how to parrallel park and was very nice. When I took my driver's test Mr. C took me and I passed! The lady said I made NO mistakes and I was more than excited. If you need a good driving school, Paul's driving school is the way to go! more

STINKS TO HIGH HEAVENS! 10/24/2010

Paul was irresponsible, lazy, and rarely showed up. I then got Dave. To be fair, Dave tried harder-but he should turn off the Rush Limbaugh broadcasts in the worst way. I took about 6 2 hour lessons and still the first time failed the test because I couldn't hear the test lady call the light signals and because my hands shook-never mind the parallel parking. I never got to that part. Now that I have a good job, I'm going elsewhere. Perhaps this could work if you had family in state and could practice in their car-as it is, I'm the only one in Pennsylvania and I wasn't even able to practice with family. more

I previously went to another driving school that sucked!!! I learned absolutely NOTHING!!! waste of money!!! Dave was patient, and helped with my confidence in driving, listening skills & courage! I would definitely recommend him to any new nervous driver!!!!!! ****** more

My instructor Dave was great. As an older nervous driver , Dave was able to calm my nerves. Dave is an excellent instructor. Dave remained calm when I wasn't , he taught me the right way to drive. I highly recommend Dave. more

Paul's driving school....is a very good school.......very positive outcome of what you learn...I had Al the specialist...very down to earth...and serious when driving(lol)....but gets down to business I would recommend this school for anyone who doesnt know the rules of the road because he would def teach you and make sure u understand it.! and I was very comfortable and confident while taking my driving exam!....had a good experience... more

The Real Deal 9/7/2010

I been really scared to get driving license I met AL the Driving Specialist. He made me feel really comfortablebehind the wheel and relaxed. I do believe that everything he taught me will come in handy. I had my first lesson and i feellikei did a better job than what i did with the other schools i wen to in the past. Al was a very good teacher who made learning how to drive fun and enjoyable. He made sure I understood everything he was teaching me and he taught me tips and rules about driving that I did not know before. I learned alot in just one lesson. Thanks to him I feel much more prepared for my license test and I feel like a better and safer driver. more

From Zero to Hero 8/9/2010

After mustering up the courage to finally get my permit, the question of driving school came into the option. Well, I was questionable at first. However, now I feel like Mr. Amazing. I called up Paul's Driving School, set up my first appointment and BAM! From there I was set up with Daniel; one of the most cool and laid back teachers their was; period the end. He pushed the point when I needed it. Before I knew it; I was confident; I wanted to drive. Daniel really helped me. In fact today I took my test with Daniel giving me the one hour prep using the car and then using the car on the test. Lets just say I aced the test my first try thanks to Paul's Driving school and my teacher Dan. DAN YOU ARE AWESOME MAN. I highly Suggest dishing out for the 7 hours and the driving test. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Also I am waiting for my certificate to come in the mail to knock down the insurance a bit. Feels good man. more

1st Time Driver Turned Pro 4/11/2010

When I took my first class I had NO experience whatsoever ... so Dave guided me through the ropes of a first timer ...\r \r Needless to say after another class I was daring enough to drive through the streets and Deleware Ave ...\r \r I'd HIGHLY suggest Paul's Driving School to those who want to get out the fear of not being able to drive cause at my age (31) I'd never picture myself driving behind the wheel of ANY car. Pros: Patient, Couteous, Puntual and Timely more
