From the start I felt uncomfortable, but didn’t want to be overly judgmental of their lack of professionalism. The young women answering the phone seemed lackadaisical and WAS totally incompetent of setting up an appointment. After I did set up the appointment, the driver Jim called from his personal cell phone to cancel. I was taken back because of how unprofessional and shady he sounded on the phone. Point blank, he sounded like a bum. I rescheduled another time with him, but knew as soon as I got off the phone I would be calling to cancel with the company. Before I had the chance to do so, I received more calls from the driver and voice messages. He was trying to cancel and reschedule again. This was after I told him I was on my way to work that day. I finally got fed up with his calls and after my day at work called the next morning to cancel with the company. I also made it clear that I did not want any more calls from Jim. They did not ask why I canceled whatsoever, which I found strange. I continued to receive calls till 9:00PM, again which I found again very strange. THESE DRIVERS ARE SUBCONTRACTED BY PAUL’S DRIVING SCHOOL!!!!!!! When I called another company to schedule lessons, I felt I had to ask about their drivers’ certifications and background checks, and of course if they were subcontracted. They of course had every answer to my questions, like a real professional business would. At that point, I told them of my experience with this company. They informed me that they have heard so many bad things about this school and my story seemed similar to others. If you read all of the BAD reviews on this site, you’ll notice that often people ask how the good reviews could possibly be real. I know now that they are all fabricated. I feel somewhat obligated to review this company. I am in my mid-twenties, and do feel slightly nervous learning how to drive. I couldn’t imagine putting a 16yr old child in the hands of Paul’s driving school.
