Nothing about this restaurant was pleasant. This is coming from someone who is relatively easy to please. The food was bland and the service was horrendous. At one point, I spilled my water glass--when I informed the waiter of this he said he would clean it up--he never got around to it. We ended up cleaning the water up ourselves. My boyfriend and I couldn't figure out how this place could stay in business. It was, by far, the worst dining experience ever!!! We would have had a better time at home, eating a microwaved veggie burger! Save yourself--STAY AWAY!!! more

I don't even know where to begin with these scumbags. They sound very nice on the phone but don't be fooled, these people are CAREER CRIMINALS, sadly only one company among what has become an epidemic in NYC. Made up mostly of illegal Israeli immigrants, these companies hide behind outdated laws and prey upon people making long-distance moves. They are currently being investigated by the FBI and I hope every one of these dirtbags like David and Asher Malka, Sam and Edgar all get their heads beaten in with a brick. I was outright EXTORTED out of $1500 in a very slick, PROFESSIONAL CON. more

I called them based on a referral from a friend who used them for a very small moving job and had a good experience with them. Unfortunately, my condo move of a partially furnished 2 bedroom apartment was a nightmare. I arranged the move with a saleperson named Bajo and also scheduled packing service. The movers arrived almost 2 hours late and didn't know they were supposed to pack. Since they didn't have the appropriate materials, they packed books into large boxes (that broke open as soon as they were moved) and lightweight clothes into expensive "disk pack" boxes. The kitchen packing was so slow that it couldn't be completed before our reservation on the building loading dock expired. There were times when members of the crew were missing for significant amounts of time and the crew chief had no idea where they were. Remember, you are paying these guys by the hour. In the end, it took them almost 10 hours to move a small 2 bedroom partially furnished apartment to a location about 5 miles away. Everybody that knew what was moved thought this was excessively long. Of course, you must pay them before they remove your furniture from the truck so there is little recourse for this unprofessional service. Bajo, the saleperson, later insisted this was their normal way of working and that the moving crew should have know they needed to pack (although he admitted he didn't explicitly tell them that they did). more

We moved from Cambridge, MA to Manhattan and the owner Dave Malka promised us best service ever. He also said that we would have such a great experience we would never want to use another company anymore. WELL: First they made a fixed price they changed afterwards, which one could argue was still in the realm of acceptable behaviors.. Then, the movers pressured my wife (almost physically) to give them more tip. She had given them 90 USD but they wanted at least 150. I am not sure if tipping is customary with such high prices. My university colleagues tell me tipping in interstate moves is illegal.. Even if that is not accurate, that kind of tipping is price and not tip, and the physical threats were just unacceptable. Third, they did not deliver ONE full box, which had my computer in it. As we checked in the old place and in new house and nothing was there, it was not delivered. We believe that the movers were mad for not getting the tip they wanted and so they either dumped it or sold the stuff. I tried many times to get a hold of Dave to check things out, but he blocked my calls, never called back and never answered emails.. So all I can do is to spread the word to NOT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS.. more

did not move with these people, but if you contact them be sure you are going to hire them because they will call you nonstop once they have your number. Their rate was absurd, $3,000 for a small apartment, but apparently no thanks means nothing to them. they will keep on calling you and will not stop. I wonder if my roommates will keep hearing from them after I move... more

I had a move scheduled with this company on June 22. They called me on June 18th in the afternoon, and told me there had been an "oversight" that the price was 125 instead of 108 per hour, that it was a 5 hours minimum + 1hour travel time instead of the 3hours minimum and 1/2 hour travel time I was told when I booked. Huge difference.... I told them that I called them on June 13th to check out everything and that the initial pricing was confirmed. They did not want to move from their rate increase. So I switched company and I am going to use Oz Moving. Oz provided me within five minutes of booking with an email confirmation (http://www.certifiedmovers.net - World Moving Scam Company told me they don't send a confirmation.... Now I know why... It gives them all the freedom to change prices at the last minute). Oz also gave me a voucher for about 6 free boxes. more

We used these guys a few weeks ago, MISTAKE! It was a simple office relocation and these idiots managed to mess up everything. They had no certificate of insurance, they were late and lost the elevator and the parking. They didn't put anything where it goes and they messed up one of the doors i the lobby which I have to pay for. These movers are terrible! more

In moving the contents of my parents home from NE to the west we really had no problems until it was discovered upon delivery that two dining chairs and two boxes were not on the van. Subsequent calls were answered and it seemed as though they were trying to locate the items, but further calls were not answered, either by the office or dispatch. There were two boxes, one of which contained my parents photos from 60 years of marriage. These of course are not replaceable.The second box was a wooden Moxie box filled with my mother's books. The dining chairs are a dark wood with black floral seats. Forget the fact that they were tiny, scrawny men, they just didn't have any personality. They didn't even talk to me the whole time they were here, they didn't explain anything to me or ask me anything. Because of that, I didn't really get the move I wanted. I've used lot's of other moving companies before but this one just seemed a little off. Well, at least they got my belongings to my new place. I suppose I should be grateful for that! more

I had movers show up in an unmarked truck. There was no equipment. No dollies, blankets or inventory stickers. I asked for the owners number and they refesed to give it to me. They said my items would be wrapped and tagged at the warehouse? Of course I cancelled this move before it turned into a bigger nightmare. Did I get my deposit back? Of course not. Moving is stressful at the best of times. The people here will lie to you and anyone else. Should you decide to hire this company, Demand that they show you their proof of insurance and published tariff. pay them only after. If they try to revise their estimate on you like they did to me, call the police. more

There was nothing professional about movage. They arrived in a beat up truck with a driver that had never driven a truck before. It took him 25 minutes to angle the truck and that was before he scratched it on the telephone pole, cracked my driveway and hit my mailbox. I wanted to send them away then and there but the idiot I am didn't say anything thinking it wouldn't get worse. It did. They didn't know how to move either. I hated watching them touch my things. To make a long story short, I am making a claim and filing with the BBB Don't USE THESE IDIOTS more

This is the worst company I've ever used. They moved my family from New York to California and they were so unprofessional, I can't even begin to start. I used them because of the "good" reviews. BIG MISTAKE. Stay away from these rookies. more

This company did alot of good marketing and customer service up front to win my confidence but several pieces of wood furniture were gouged during the move. Their response was that I should send them some pictures but because I hadn't purchased extra insurance, there wasn't anything they could do for me. In addition, on the day of the move, they were unable to figure out how to get my sofa down the stairwell even though I had had an upholsterer prep the sofa by taking off the arms. The upholsterer had to come back and was able to move the couch without taking it apart any further. With damaged furniture and a poor response from the company, I give this company the lowest rating. more

where to begin . . . we had furniture delivered to miami from new york. the furniture didn't arrive to florida on the date guaranteed by shleppers on two separate occasions(despite several confirmations) - we had to fly to miami 3 different times to finally receive the delivery!!! upon delivery, the miami crew refused to reassemble our furniture - we had to hire someone to put our furniture together (the crew in miami were apparently "movers, not assemblers" - yes, that's a direct quote!). worst of all, our furniture was damaged!!! run, don't walk, away from this horrid company more

They operate a scam, they rip you off and try to get extra money from you when they deliver your goods. i would call that kidnapping . not only did they charge me overweight for my move, when i questioned the weight and requested a reweigh they started to redirect the driver to every area but mine. they overcharged almost 1000 lbs from what i knew was my weight. they also have a partner in budget movers who was the broker on this deal. see my rating for them my real rating would be 0. i think that most of these ratings are false. i can not believe that there are this many people who actually these guys are legit. they have been reported to the Dept of Transportation for deceptive practices more

I am so stupid to call movage to move me. I don't know what I was thinking. They botched up everything. I think I was their very first customer. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go with someone else. ANyone else! more

Save your time and money and DO NOT use http://CertifiedMovers.net. My move was a rather small one (moved from a studio into a 1 bedroom) and STILL they managed to lose 2 boxes and break some of my dinnerware which they packed. I paid for this service since they told me if I pack it the wouldn't be responsible. They were reckless, rude and SLOW!!! My move was supposed to be done by 5pm but they finished close to 7pm for which the building charge me and when I complained to http://CertifiedMovers.net they told me that they weren't responsible! Even though I told them about my hours. Its not worth the money OR aggravation! A total disgrace! And also the claim is not going through because the damage is less than $500. I don't know how they got away with this for so long. more

The absolute worse experience of all time. Simply said, our movers shows up two hours late with no apology whatsoever, with no compensation whatsoever, without any notification, and in fact they even lied and said the truck was 10 minutes away when they were still working on another move. The management is horrible and I would earnestly and honestly recommend that NO ONE use this moving company if possible. I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what I went through with this horrible moving company that takes no responsibility whatsoever for their clients satisfaction. They knew that I needed to be moved in by 5PM, said they would arrive at 2:00, and ended up showing up at 4:30 making my move impossible. In fact the manager even blamed it on me on the phone for reserving at 2PM when he was the one that asked me to book for 2PM. So please, please, save yourself the trouble and DO NOT do any business with them whatsoever. Michael was horrible from day one. They are just in it purely for the money and that is it. They do not care about their customers at all. They do not pick up the phone when you have questions or anything whatsoever. more
