med stay was good and easy to deal with, however the hotel was being remodeled and I would not of stayed if I had been informed of this

Excellent service from MedStay 3/31/2014

My husband had surgery at Duke and Sammy and Donna could not have been more helpful in securing a reservation for us. My husband's surgery was postponed because of the weather and when we were given a new date with just 48 hours notice, they went out of their way to get us a the 30 day reservation we required and at a reasonable rate. They saved us a lot of stress. We are extremely thankful and appreciative for their diligence ....they made things easy for us. I certainly recommend MedStay and will not hesitate to use them again. Very professional, understanding and caring. Kudos to Sammy and Donna...you are the best! Our deepest thanks and gratitude. Excellent! more

So Impressed 1/10/2014

Today, I called MedStay to make reservations for my first visit with the oncologist in Chapel Hill. I spoke with Donna and she was so helpful, professional, courteous, and just plain NICE! It was such a joy to speak with someone so willing to help, make suggestions to make our first trip comfortable and affordable. I can never tell you in words how much I appreciated the kindness from Donna. more

So Helpful! 7/30/2013

This is long overdue! I was in for colon surgery in September at UNC. Stayed in for 9 days so hotel was needed for my daughter. When my stay became extended, Medstay was most helpful at extending our hotel accommodations. I meant to write a review as soon as I got home and settled but quickly became readmitted to my local hospital for a few more days. This service is awesome and I greatly appreciated everything they arranged for me and my daughter. I will definitely call on Medstay if I find myself a patient in the triangle again. Reservations and stay in Chapel Hill 6/15/2013

Using MedStay reservations was easy and efficient. The representative was very helpful with our questions and promptly made the reservation that was best for our needs. The room and bath were very clean and neat. Our stay was very pleasant. more

Bait and switch 6/13/2013

I will not use medstay again. I reserved a room and it was mysteriously cancelled online. The hotel happened to have one room left the night of our arrival at a higher rate of course. It was a very musty room at the end of a long hallway. I have limited use of my left arm and leg, so it was a bit of a challenge. I also was not able to bathe because I did not have an accessible bathroom. The hotel ran out of a few choice breakfast items with 2 hours left to go before breakfast was supposed to end. Very disappointed in the quality of service. RESPONSE FROM MedStay: Mrs Holloway I am sorry that this happened to you. This is the first that I have heard about this I will contact the Quality Inn to see what happened. If you have a problem with a reservation made by MedStay you can always call us to help you through the problem. I will personally call you today after talking to the hotel. more

Duke Evaluation 6/9/2013

We have to bring our daughter to Duke for a lung transplant evaluation and when we got the packet it had a flyer for Med Stay to help you find discount accommodations. I called them and they were so wonderful in helping us find the right hotel to meet our needs at the best price. I highly recommend their services. more

I have had nothing but great experiences with MedStay when booking my rooms during my UNC Hospital visits. They offer great rates at some of the nicest hotels in the area and online booking is a breeze! I will always use MedStay when booking rooms for my hospital visits in the future. This is coming from a former travel agent and a woman who is very picky about where she lays her head at night. more

Completely satisfied 5/24/2013

Both Samy and Donna are really helpful in finding the best available hotel, explaining about the locations and distances. Whenever the hotels were booked up, they helped me to find another hotel, even those that are not listed. Living far away form Durham and having to travel to the city every week was easier with their help. I am really thankful. more

Medstay 4/22/2013

Sammy is the best!! We needed a hotel due to the fact I am a patient at UNC and my husband at Duke. Being from out of town it's hard to now where to stay that would fit our needs. Sam was very knowledgable on all the hotels and guided us in the right direction. I just became aware of Med stay as of today..prior to that we had winged it and stayed at some really bad places at a very high cost, so it's nice to know we have an option with a discounted rate and comfort. I also love the fact that there is a few places people can take there pets as well...we will be using Med stay from now on....Thank you!!! more

Excellent Service 2/26/2013

I have used MedStay the last two times I had to go to Chapel Hill for medical reasons and needed to stay overnight. When I called the number for MedStay, they were so helpful and found me a room both times with no problem and I was very satisfied with the accomodations. They were very courteous and sent me directions and told me to call them back if I needed anything else. more

I happened upon this site quite by accident an boy am I glad that I did! 2/20/2013

I had never heard of this "MEDSTAY" service from anyone when I had been a patient at Duke or at any of its clinics or the Ambulatory Surgical Units. I was treated with courtesy and concern. I asked about a rate at a certain motel in the area, He gladly assisted me in getting a BETTER rate than had been given to me by the hotel and "HOTELONE.COM". He then asked me exactly where I had to go for my appointments? When I told him-he said that the Hampton Inn was not the place that I should be staying. It was too far from where I needed to be. Sam had knowledge of Durham and all the facilities that are associated with Duke Medical Center, therefore he could direct me to the best location to obtain a room. WOW! What a "life-line" for those of us who do not know about Duke Hospital and all the clinics, and offices. I'd call "MEDSTAY" in a heartbeat and so should you. (1-877-633-7829) more
