I have been attending Margie Beegle Sales for the past 15yrs and her sales are consistently the BEST in Houston by FAR. She has a great reputation and gets the very best estates in the area. Her team has the ability to make organization out of complete chaos and the pricing of the items is a fair balance between getting the most for her clients and offering the best possible prices for the shoppers. My friend and sister have been estate ""saling"" for quite a while, and we always enjoy these sales, with Jennifer and team. The team is very helpful, and we enjoy the hunt for treasures. I love finding that one thing everyone else missed!\r \r Regarding a previous review that included negative comments regarding parking... Quite frankly, if you obey the law, you are okay. If you don't obey the law, you run the risk of a ticket. This is true everywhere! Just relax and enjoy the sale, and you don't have to worry about tickets if you use common sense. more

I attend many estate sales all over Houston I have to say that I am always amazed at the staging, organization and professionalism in which Margie Beegle and her staff handle estate sales. While she does have a few rules, they all seem within reason and certainly have been derived from years of experience. The treasures are many and amazing! The prices are very fair and I think they make safety a priority, which I like. One thing to remember at any estate sale... park your auto in a safe manner. Follow the State of Texas driving laws. Park your car only facing the direction of traffic flow, not within 30 feet of a stop sign or fire hydrant and stop blaming others when you get a ticket for not doing so. more

I would not recommend this service to anyone. When I entered the house of one of their estate sales, everything was a mess and trashy. As a customer, I parked in front of a house at an estate sale along with several other customers and we all got parking tickets. They had a Houston Police Officer on site at the sale, however, he failed as well as the staff to let us know it was no parking -Failed to protect the customers and didn't handle the parking situation. Standing just 30 feet away from the street no one working there noticed the West University Police writing tickets. That should be part of the service they are provide not to let the customers loading furniture purchases to get tickets while loading items from the house. When I called very politely the Margie Beegle office to try to get the contact information about the HPD officer that was at the house - I was told not to call again, they hung up the phone on me, and they refused to give me the contact information of the officer, and said ""If I called again they would report me for harassment."" Very rude. I did nothing wrong and they attack me a customer, why? Obviously they can not provide professional service, if it wasn't such chaos I was ready to purchase several big ticket items, however, as a customer I just walk away angry with my cash in hand. Furthermore if this is the follow up behavior of their office due to simply misunderstanding then I""m warning everyone now -- Beware! more

Attended my first estate sale with this company and I was not at all impressed. The ""staff"" was rude and seemed like it was an imposition to answer a question...almost as if they were annoyed at me for requesting information on something they were selling?!\r \r I also agreed with other some other reviewers, not all items were marked and you had to stand in line to get a price that she seemed to pull out of the air. Most items did have tags with initials on them - but not all had prices. I suspect she was bringing other items in to sell - which I find tacky.\r \r I thought the prices were extremely high and most tags did not offer any validation information for the high price - just depended on the bench mark and not all items even had bench marks or any other identifying information. The staff could not answer the basic questions for an item I was interested in and honestly did not even seem to care. \r \r I am ""old school"", if a company advertises experience and expertise, at least try to have some knowledge on items you are selling. \r \r I may give her one more chance - maybe it was a bad day? My time is just a valuable and I do not want to waste it on snotty, rude and unknowledgeable sales staff. more

The estate sale this week at simp sons was fabulous. Introduced Jen to new clients and they just loved her. I live out of Houston and always drive three hours for Jensen sales. Great products wonderful prices and most of all excellent customer service. Kendall Eiben, Eddy, Mark and Johniie. more

I have been to many of this companys sales and i highly recomend this company. Prices to me or the main thing and I have allways found them to be fair and affordable. The sales staff or allways helpfull and friendly.I would highly reconmend them for all your estate sale business . more

I love supporting good businesses. If you are the same, do not patronize this one. Bad customer service, rude staff Jennifer. Do not work for them, patronize them or use them to manage your estate sale. They do not get it. A business with no basic appreciation of human dignity, professionalism and respect in any circumstance needs to shut down immediately. I would investigate the validity of the five star reviews. They are very suspect. We need to get the review ratings down to a truthful level to even making writing reviews worth our while. The one star reviews are spot on and search for those and read them. You are wasting your time reading the sales pitched and suspect five star reviews. more

if you like being treated like crap at a sale then by all means go to one of hers she will get the job done unless of course your a big spender then youll get the royal treatment and whatever you do dont dare say crap on sunday because she will jump down your throught because God only hears and sees the bad things you do on sundays of course anyone knows that apperantly she dosnt think he seen her downing a few beers and treating people like crap saturday night at her sale but hay it was saturday not sunday right and by all means whatever you and dont say anything if she over charges you because she will through you out because she dosnt tolerate rudeness but i guess all this time i didnt understand the difference between rudeness and honesty but i guess any could make that mistake so yeah if you like this kinda of person then margie beegle is the troll for you she will get the job done more

There are many estate sale companies...it just so happens that Margie Beegle Sales is the BEST. They are busy week after week...successful week after week...& that is not by accident. Their prices are fair & service top notch. Ignore the haters who say Jen is rude...she happens to be one of the sweetest, most generous people on the planet. Do you know where most of her paycheck goes? To rescue homeless animals in Houston! I know about this firsthand...we work together in rescue. She will likely not appreciate that I made this public...but I felt it was important you knew the person behind the name. more

The team at Margie Beegle Estate Sales has for many years managed and conducted hundreds of estate sales in the Houston area. Week after week Jennifer runs a tight ship and gets the job done in an organized and professional manner, sometimes conducting 2 or even three sales a week.\r \r Weekly emails are both informative and entertaining, providing good info with photos about upcoming sales, along with some delighfully quirky humor.\r \r Also, as an owner of three wonderful adopted cats, I really appreciate everything that the Beegles do to help find homes for orphaned cats & dogs!\r \r Apparently the Beegles have addressed some previous issues with customer service and rudeness mentioned in a few of the other reviews, and so customer service appears to have greatly improved. \r \r I recommend that you try out Margie Beegle sales if you are looking for great merchandise at reasonable prices. more

This is my special treat to myself - I try to make all of her estate sales and really never walk away empty-handed - there is always a treasure I would love to own at a bargain price. I love the way the pricing works - lowered over time, and you can decide for yourself whether to risk waiting for a lower price or not. It's great that you can get a sneak peek at the items on the website before the sale begins. Highly recommended! more

For the past 10 years I’ve have furnished my house and supplied my hobby interest almost exclusively with bargain items from estate sales. I receive internet notices from several companies that specialize in this field, and may visit more than one on any typical weekend. Therefore, I have personally seen how most local estate sale companies conduct their business. One of my favorites is Margie Beegle Sales. I appreciate their detailed internet ads which have plenty of photos. The staff is efficient and cheerful. I get the impression that some of the workers might be there just for the fun of it (which is good!) For a buyer, the prices are typically a bargain. For the seller, I believe the Beegle staff fine-tunes prices so the majority of the merchandise will attract a buyer (which is the goal) which provides the maximum possible return to the client. The price is usually marked (tagged) on the merchandise. Of course here in Houston we have a population which includes people from many parts of the world where bargaining is a preferred way of life. These folks want to bargain with the check-out lady even over super low priced merchandise. But, that is not the way estate sales work, so shoppers like this may be disappointed. I personally admire way the Beegle staff can maintain order in a crowded house, where payment at the checkout table could easily become chaotic. more

I love working at Margie Beegle Estate Sales. I went to many estate sales in my last two years that I have lived here in Houston and it is very refreshing to work here. I used to work at another estate sales company and one of their clients referred me to Margie Beegle Sales and I am an excellent sales person and very professional. I know the rules of our sales the prices are what they are for everyone including workers. No one can purchase anything, Antique Dealers, Friends, employees until the sale starts. The price is what it is one the first day and then we lock the door and start again the next day. The next day starts at a discount and employees including myself are happy to let customers know our policies and if they are willing to wait for the discount if the item is there they can purchase it. I can not move furniture or anything for my customers as I am an independent worker. I am not covered so I can not move anything for anyone not because I do not want to it is because I can not. We are an estate sales company not a garage sale. We have wonderful loyal customers who know how we work. It breaks my heart to read the awful slander on the internet written by angry people. This is a business it is run professionally. We have experts yes paid people who come in to price items we are fair. I feel honored to work here. I hope some of the people who read the reviews read mine as it is from the heart and from a former business owner. I lost my business on 9/11 in New York. I am a woman of many trades and my boss works so hard to make these sales good for you guys. Come shop with us you will be happy you did I promise more

Jennifer has the best estate sales in Texas. She is professional, honest, & ethical. A family member has used her services with tremendous satisfaction. She is a licensed appraiser--that means she knows how to price an item. We have been to her sales, that's why she was chosen for the family estate sale. We liked what we saw and how she manages them. An estate sale is not your neighbor's garage sale. She has a wonderful, dry, sophisticated sense of humor. We've seen her both as a client & a shopper at her sales. Her staff has been with her for years--that says a lot about her. The staff is professional, helpful, friendly, & understanding to both the client & the shopper. Jen has our highest recommendation. Beegle Sales range from digger sales to the mansions of Houston. No estate is too large. Beegle Sales is one of the few that has the knowledge, skills, and experience to handle huge estates. more

I have been in Margie Beegle's estate sales a few times. I found that most times she is over pricing the same item to customers and she will give a deep discount to her ""favorite"" customers. But what prevents me going back to this estate sale is her unexpected rudeness. She is the the rudest person I ever met in any situation. she is very very rude and unprofessional. Be aware!!! more

I have attended many estate sales through out the state of Texas in the past few years looking for items to help my classroom come alive. I have alway enjoyed visiting with the various people in charge and meeting others who have a love for items that have a history. I recently drove to Houston to attend a Margie Beegle Sale. A friend who had visited one of her sales near Chapel Hill had recommended that I visit this sale. I spent over an hour and a half looking at the materials which were for sale. When I took my selections to the register I questioned the price of a book. I was very rudely treated by the woman taking the money and then was told that the prices were clearly posted. I had a budget so I began to rethink several of my choices. In the process of possibly having to eliminate some of my choices she told me that they would not sell any of the merchandise to me. \r I was so taken back that I had little response and left. It was embarrassing for me to be treated in such a manner in front of my friends and other strangers. \r I do not plan to attend any other of her sales. It is my experience in going to her sales, there are ""FAVORITE"" customers that they give ""special"" deals too and they OVERPRICE items they may not want to sell so they can keep for themselves. They are RUDE to many, but if you spend big $$$$ they will kill you with kindness. I have seen them ask customers to leave for simply questioning WHY a item may be priced as it is. They have NO DESIRE to treat you as a customer, just take what they say, no questions asked! There are 2 sides to this group, take your chance if you wish. Pros: Lot's of merchandise, priced.
