I have attended many estate sales through out the state of Texas in the past few years looking for items to help my classroom come alive. I have alway enjoyed visiting with the various people in charge and meeting others who have a love for items that have a history. I recently drove to Houston to attend a Margie Beegle Sale. A friend who had visited one of her sales near Chapel Hill had recommended that I visit this sale. I spent over an hour and a half looking at the materials which were for sale. When I took my selections to the register I questioned the price of a book. I was very rudely treated by the woman taking the money and then was told that the prices were clearly posted. I had a budget so I began to rethink several of my choices. In the process of possibly having to eliminate some of my choices she told me that they would not sell any of the merchandise to me. \r
I was so taken back that I had little response and left. It was embarrassing for me to be treated in such a manner in front of my friends and other strangers. \r
I do not plan to attend any other of her sales.
Pros: Wonderful merchandise
Cons: Lack of professional respect toward customers
