Last month, we moved out of our old place into a new house with them. The movers were incredibly friendly, and careful with all our stuff -- even the junk we probably should have just thrown away. Even with the packing, they finished work ahead of schedule both days. And the bill came out about $600 under the estimate. We've been recommending them to everyone we know. Considering all the horror stories about moving -- some of which we've experienced first-hand -- we could not be happier with how our choice turned out. more

I can't believe I ever tried to move by my self. I heard of Los Angeles Movers from a friend who used them last year. He said they were inexpensive and effecient, so I gave them a try. WOW! What a pleasant surprise! No hassles, no delays, no empty wallet. I was able to move all my stuff in one day (which included several couches, an entertainment center, a deep freeze, etc.). I was very pleased...and the one service man even complimented on my clothes (nice touch guys!). I felt very respected the whole move, and the crew was so friendly to me and my kids. I will definitely use them again in the future...if I ever have to move.? more

Great moving experience!!! I've moved within San Francisco and Los Angeles a few times before and each time was a nightmare: the $500 estimate was $1500 by the end of the move, the movers were intimidating thugs... you just couldn't win, so the act of moving because something to be "dealt with" vs. "done." Los Angeles Movers has changed that completely. They come to your place in advance, they give you a written figure, and that's all that you pay. None of this "we charged you $100 extra to wrap your TV in a blanket" stuff -- it's all included. Their advance person was super-friendly and professional, and the moving guys were SO nice and very careful, even with things that didn't seem delicate or important. So moving day, which we dreaded, turned out to be quick and seamless. Honestly, this is the ONLY service I will EVER use for moving in the future, because they're legit. I think that's what I like: in a business full of scammers, they're the legit ones. more

When we planned our move, we thought it was going to be a nightmare. We boxed up everything we could, but we still had our furniture out, everything was a mess and we thought we were screwed. Fortunately we called Los Angeles Movers!! They sent over five guys who moved me, my GF and two cats out of my FIFTH FLOOR WALK UP in an hour and a half. I've never seen anyone work faster than this crew. There was even one mover who carried down my television on his BACK, all five flights. They wrapped up our furniture, got everything into the truck, drove to the new place and unloaded everything. The entire move took about three hours and it was amazing. The men were nice, polite and even funny and joking around, it was a great experience. Thanks for all your help in making our move better than we could have ever imagined!! more

This is the second time we have used Los Angeles Movers, and we could not be happier with our choice. I've moved several times in the past 5 years and this was the best experience by far! There are some very shady movers out there but I have to say this was an incredibly positive experience. From the first phone call, to the email follow-up and, in particular, on the day of the move those movers exceeded expectations. The crew called ahead, showed up on time, was pleasent and professional and executed my move from my storage unit, to my old house and then on to my new house all within 3 hours 15 mins! And this included moving upstairs and putting furniture together. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone! more

My move with Los Angeles Movers was truly outstanding. I had to move all my furniture to their storage for two weeks until my new home was ready, and I feared this will complicate things, but Ray, my project manager, helped me plan and schedule the two phases of my move with such professionalism and patience. He didn't loose his cool once - and I did call him with a few last minute changes and requests. I was so happy I was off the hook for finding a storage place on my own… The crew was terrific as well, they carefully protected all my furniture and kept them wrapped while in storage. They delivered everything to may new apartment two weeks later, unwrapped it carefully and asked me where I would like to place each item. They were efficient and friendly, which really helped (I was a nervous wreck by then, and my husband was pretty much in the same shape). It was a smooth transition with not a thing broken in the process.? more

I moved from Los Angeles to Simi Valley two weeks ago, and J&G did an exceptional job moving our stuff! Everything went very smoothly. I really have no complaints whatsoever, and would highly recommend them for your move! Their price was better than any of the other quotes I received too! We moved from Palo Alto, CA, and we have been seeing their trucks everywhere lately. Knowing we were going to be moving soon, we asked our buildingâ??s management people about them and it turned out that they use Los Angeles Movers all the time and they had an office in California. Since we were moving to Downtown in Los Angeles it seemed like a good match. We logged on to their site and it was very informative, checked their reviews on line and their reputation seemed great, so we called, got an estimate. The move itself was just perfect. Nice, quiet, polite, hard working guys. They where even shy about asking for some water. Anyhow, our things arrived without the slightest of damage. Everything was put neatly into place and was arrive a day LESS then estimated, so we tipped the guys well. In general, a great experience with a great company Los Angeles Movers. more

I called Los Angeles Movers after being referred to them by a close friend that had "The best moving experience ever!" With out a doubt my moving experience was as well. The guys Casey, Travis and James were strong, fast, polite, real expert movers. They padded and shrink wrapped all of my furniture, and used dollies and lifting straps I have never seen, state of the art equipment that made my move go that much faster. My move was completed faster than I would have dreamed, they placed all of my items where I needed them to be. I really appreciate the good character and hard work of City Movers, I will recommend them to you and anyone else!? more

I had Los Angeles Movers move me this last weekend! They did a fantastic job! I was moved in 3 hours, it took my other movers double that time! Los Angeles Movers also provided shrink wrap, and furniture pads free of charge! Something my other movers did charge me for! The movers Travis, Casey and Ian were some of the strongest and well spoken movers I have ever seen or used! Thanks Los Angeles Movers for all of your hard work! My move was from coast to coast. It was from Florida to California. I look on the rates of this page and believe it since most of the reviews were 5 stars even though there were not much in between. I call the company and all. It was set up. Pick up was fine just that they charge 50% at least on pickup, it was okay. I did not check exact time but it was around the time they told. Then at arrival, we need to pay before checking if items were complete. We pay since we recognize some items. I was checking all the items and they end up missing one item and they call and it was still in Florida and he promise that he will bring it the next week. Never heard of him anymore. I call the salesman who was attentive when presenting the service but now he just forward me to dispatch. The guy at dispatch sound careless about the item and offer me the claim. I want my item not the claim and the base insurance with the item is $0.60 per pound which is nothing except if those were rocks. I had some important books and other values in there. This is a real review. I give them an extra start for almost carrying everything. However, bad service on missing items. Lucky those that have everything. more
