Went to Kwik Lube in Valley Ranch for new wheel bearings. I was told it would be $380 for parts, and up to 4 hours of labor. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I was called after two hours saying my car was ready. Now imagine my unpleasant surprise when I was told they had to charge me the full 4 hours of labor at $85.00 per hour. When I complained that it only took two hours they were very unsympathetic. They could not tell me who forced them to charge me for 4 hours for 2 hours worth of work. They would not tell me who pockets the extra $170.00 labor charge. They were immediately transformed in little sargent Schultz's from the TV show Hogan's Heros, "we know nothing!" Visit these jerks at your own risk. Don't say you weren't warned! Very HONEST reputable people-check pricing here before allowing work at a dealership or elsewhere. Excellent work, knowledgeable, will give you the STRAIGHT answer. We have saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars here over the years. Can't recommend them highly enough! more

I typically take my car to the Valvoline in Lakewood to have my oil changed; however, they are always SUPER busy. Unless you arrive at 8am on the dot when they open, expect to wait at least an hour. Since I was on Mockingbird anyway, I figured I would try this place out. It was 11am on a Saturday but I was able to get my car in immediately! The gentleman who helped me was super friendly and told me he would have my car out quick. Went inside and selected a magazine to read (which by the way they even had chick magazines like Glamour and Cosmo...awesome). Found a great article and even before I was able to get halfway through, they came in and told me my baby was ready to roll! They even accepted my Valvoline specific coupon for $6 off my oil change. Kwik Lube, you can change my fluids anytime? more

I have been coming here for over seven years to get my state inspections done. ?Each time, they have always done a spectacular job. ?I just went today and they have a new inspection guy who knows his cars back and forth and very easy to talk to and up front. ?If you're in need of a state inspection, this is a great place to go to. ?They also do oil changes and repairs. ?Never go on weekends or early in the morning. ?They are constantly packed. ?With the new fitness center and insurance place opened up to the building next to them, I am sure this will give them a bit of gain in business. more

Was very impressed that the folks at Kwik Kar were also able to diagnose the problem with and repair my A/C - at a fraction of the cost my dealer had quoted me. Very professional service - and my car was ready exactly when they said it would be. more

These people know their stuff and have a professional approach to car care. I enjoyed the employees and the friendly atmosphere. Brake checks and top offs are free to customers and a vehicle maintenance inspection is included in every oil change. Good newspapers and magazines to look at while the car is being worked on. more

Service center charged $90.00 to tighten a battery cable. $90.00! They swear they hooked up the machine to their diagnostic machine, but failed to realize I watched what they were doing. Was not hooked up to a machine. They only opened the hood and fiddled with cables. Would have accepted the $90. and been fine if they had given me advance notice of the charges. The only notice I was given, quote: if it's something simple, we will not charge you. end quote. Customer service is just poor, rates are outrageous. Pros: None Cons: Poor Service, Overcharged more

No problem with employees, they're always fast and courteous. But the multiple times I've been in there, the owner has been a jerk. The latest time he opened the shop almost 20 minutes late, he never once apologized or acted like he even cared that people had been outside waiting. Guess he doesn't realize that a "sorry about that" will make things better. I only keep going there because it's close, and they do good work, but the owner is the worst. more

i just moved here from florida and these young professionals took good care of my baby " 2006 orange saleen" they know all about my car and got me the paper work i needed to register my vehicle. Not only that but they let me drop off my cat on my lunch break and dropped me off at the office, they checked my breaks and couldve sold me a break job front and rear, however they showed me that i only needed the front done. then they picked me up from the office and when i got back i was surprised to find that my synthetic oil change front breaks and emissions testing all together cost was very low.. GREAT JOB GUYS KEEP IT UP. Pros: very knowledgeable crew and staff, speedy and freindly Cons: i havent found one yet! more

I went to this location for a few years, and they always treated me like crud. The manager/owner always acted like they didn't even want my business. Pros: NONE Cons: Rude, bad service more

Took car for safety inspection. Charged $40 for inspection and $48 for wipers and a bulb. Said couldn't do inspection because computer was in reset mode. Told me to bring it back when engine light comes on. Brought back week later with engine light on. Owner reset computer, said it probably the gas cap. Gas cap passed inspection first day. Bought new gas cap. Owner said would run diagnostic if it came back on. Engine light back on few days later. Said I have to pay for another inspection. Mechanic said leave car and would have to pay for at least half hour of labor diagnostic. 3 hours later owner calls. Says they can't do diagnostic work. Paid $89 and in same spot. Asked owner why he didn't tell me a week earlier they couldn't do required diagnostic if not gas cap. Asked why let car sit 3 hours for nothing. Answer was they were busy. Have to take car elsewhere and pay for inspection again. Kwik Kar wasted my time/money cause they don't pay attention to what they are doing/don't care about customer service. This is a franchise so the owner doesn't have to answer to anyone. When I got aggravated and asked why he handled it the way he did, got no explanation. Told customers in his waiting room hoped they were only getting oil changed. He got mad, stuck finger in my face/told me to leave. He was mad. I left. Don't let this happen to you. Only competent to do most minor things, don't keep records/get mad if you say something. more

Made a mistake of not asking price of oil change beforehand. They charged $20 more than the other Kwik Kar locations [as well as any chain, such as Firestone, etc.]. They basically double-charged for oil -- both reg. and synthetic -- and the filter! The only explanation was "it's the owner"........ Pros: no wait Cons: $$$$ more

I took my car to this shop a couple of weeks ago to have routine maintenance done. They flushed my transmission fluid and failed to replace the transmission fluid!!! I broke down on the Tollway in the pouring rain during morning rush hour!! I am now having to deal with their insurance company who are less than helpful. I have had to rent a car and pay for it out of my own pocket and we are being told that it could take up to a month before the insurance will decide if Kwik Kar caused the damage. Of course they caused the damage, they did not put the fluid back in the car and now they have washed their hands of the situation because it has been "sent to their insurance". In fact the insurance person suggested that I file it under my insurance and then wait to have them pay my insurance company--I DON'T think so...and have my insurance go up becasue Kwik Kar made the mistake. They are stalling, now I have to sit and wait for the insurance "expert" to go look at my car. I have been inconvenienced and they don't seem to care. I will NEVER take my car back there and suggest that you do the same!! Pros: They are friendly Cons: They do POOR work more
