Kindred Hospital The Heights

I am very impressed with the care I recieved from most people here at kindred, especially Kelly in wound care, she saved my foot .. I can't thank her enough for all she has done for me. I would recommend this wound care department to anyone. more

I am Mr Charlez in room 314. The people here treat me like gold. I am treated lovely. That's why I like to come here . I don't want to go to any other hospital. Irene is the best she gives him everything he wants . Julie is like a servant from God, she works really hard. I really appreciate all of the people here . The food is wonderful I have no complaints they come and take my order. Truthfully, all the services here are wonderful. more

The nurses here are pretty good on the day shift . There's one nurse at night that's good. The techs Tameka, Tina and Stephen is really nice and concerned About the patients and Jim is truly a jewel. The HBO staff is very professional and concerned about their patients and making sure everything goes right with them. Now the doctors, they come in and say what they have to say and then they're gone. They don't listen to what the patients have to say. Dr Patel( nephrologist) was the only Doctor that listen to me regarding a swollen arm I had for weeks, no one else would listen, he finally had something done about it. I don't feel that wound care has been taking care of me like they should have, one day I had to do my own toe. Julie C. does try to instruct the nurses on how to take care of my foot but has a hard time. The doctor's should come over here more often and check on their patients. I give the food a zero, on a scale of 1 to 5 . They serve the same thing over and over, and the food is too salty. more

I am the significant other of Joe Reagins, my name is Darcus. The care here is real good ,you can go to the nurses and tell them your problem and they are always right on time . They go over and beyond their job. My husband didn't want anyone touching his butt but Julie Carrillo had a way of making the him comfortable with getting the wound care he needed. All of the nurses and techs are good especially Tameka,Sheila, and Shandrea . Donna in case management was also wonderful when she helped us with getting a poa . Mr. Jim and Steven are great. Everybody I have associated with has really gone over and beyond caring for him. My mom was also here before after her surgery years ago and the care was good then too. My husband has come along way since he's been here, now walking and talking ,he wasn't eating or drinking when he first got here , he had a feeding tube in him and look at him now. He says himself that he is also pleased with the care but is ready to go home. I can't help but mention Aisha, she is great! I can tell them the i v is beeping and they don't say wait a min. They come right away. Faye and Ruth made it comfortable for me to sleep . She didn't stop until I got a recliner to sleep in they didn't mind given me a break to go downstairs to watch him because he is a fall risk . I can't thank you guys enough for going over and beyond your jobs. more

My name is Muhamad Ghani and I feel absolutely comfortable here and all the nurses are very attentive and caring when I call them they come right away. This is very important for patients,when they need help,they should have help right away. I think I have been here now for one month . I don't think there is anything they can improve on . The doctors here are great I am most grateful for Dr. Siddiqi, he has taking great care if me and is very patient, he answers all of my questions, I love that he is my doctor. The nurses including ,Julie Carrillo who very attentive as well, Julie is very experienced in what she does. Several other nurses are very caring too many to name. I would recommend this place to anyone . My children are also impressed and says that this is a good place in which they don't have to worry about me when They are not here with me, Also the dietician Sadiah checks on me and makes sure that my diet is working for me. My case manger Susie is very caring as well. I want to mention nurse Sanju, she is great, we talk about the latest pakistan restaurants. more

The care is really good here, the care here is better than at home. The people here make sure I don't fall. Being at home by myself is not safe, if I fall I may not be able to make it to the phone to call for help, I need to have somebody with me to look after me. I don't want to be in an old folks home. You can't go outside there, I would probably go crazy. Here you get to play Bingo on Thursday's and meet new people. I have family but the live in San Angelo and San Antonio so they can't be here with me. I really wish I could find good people like this everywhere. more

To the people here at kindred hospital. To all the people that helped me retrieve all of my belongings, it meant a lot to me that y'all went well out of y'alls way. Everyone made me feel like y'all were going to help me. You told me you would and you did .No one ever got impatient with me. If I could I would give all of you a raise if I could . All of my things were lost at the other hospital and I was so worried I would never get them back. The ceo Laura told me the only thing we couldn't retrieve for you is your shoes and we will get you a pair. I can't stop crying .I pray that God gives you all the best work place that you could ever imagine. I enjoyed playing bingo yesterday and two ladies from bingo went down to my car and got my belongings out of it. They didn't have to but they did. If my items had not been retrieved I would have had to cancel my debit card and request a new one that would have taken forever. I can't thank you all enough for all you have done for me.. more

I have been cared for by a lot of good people.My nurses have been great there is a short nurse that is great but I can't remember her name. My wound is also improving because if that lady Julie. I had some very nice people caring for me Tameka is one of them. I couldn't have had better treatment no where else. This is a nice place. more

Since being admitted here at Kindred Heights in Icu , being found in the hospital 5 or 6 days after transferring from another facility, I remember them trying to sit me up in the chair also sitting while trying to eat, I just didn't have any strength to do so but Stacy from rehab continued working with me being very patient with me , now I actually played bingo yesterday with the rehab team and Jessie from patient relations. I am actually discharging today and will be visiting my mom soon in North Carolina to check on here it being my first time flying in an airplane . Erica ,Kathy , Stacy and the nurse who took care of me when I first got here .Deborah and I can't remember all of the names right now. I am grateful for her. I even remember one of the nurses being in tears when I was finally able to speak after not being able to do so since being on the vent for a week. more

Since being here at kindred the heights the people have been good to me everything to the point of taking care of my wound. I thought I was going to loose my foot because of another hospital. They told me that my foot needed to be cut off but Thanks to the wound care team and the doctors here my foot was able to be saved. more

I have been in this hospital for 3 weeks. I was admitted to treat my congested heart failure, blood clots, and to get therapy. Therapy visited me daily to do arm and leg exercises. They suceeded in getting me strong enough to sit on the side of the bed. The nursing staff checked on me every 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The whole staff was kind and generous to me. I would recommend this hospital to anyone that needs rehabilitation. Marie Moore more

I have been in this hospital over a month. Came in with diverticulosis and required I.V antibiotics. I was really weak and needed therapy. I really want to thank Remi and Rose for being very attentive and patient with me. Remi did things for me that my nurses didn't do. Initially he exercised my legs until he got me strong enough to walk down the hallway. One of my nurse's Joan really went out of her way to tend to my needs. Thank you ! Thelma Rather more

I admitted to this hospital on 6/29/16 in order to treat my toe wound. The doctor told me I needed I.V antibiotics to treat 2 bacteria infections in my toe. Then about a month later I was told I needed HBO treatments to help improve the healing to my stomach and left toe. I really want to acknowledge these wonderful staff members Jatoya, Lola, LaTara, Tish, Bill, Kim, Nina, Yolanda, Aisha, Thara, Olu, Onyi, James, and Patricia. They made me feel like family because they really went beyond their duties to make me comfortable. more

I have been in this facility a couple of weeks. I came in here because I was having difficulty breathing and a infection that required I.V antibiotics. I really like Dr. Luy because he will take the time to explain things to me. The nurse's are also good at explaining my medications and my care to me. L. Lavare more

I came to this hospital to treat my infected left foot. I received I.V antibiotics and HBO treatments during my stay. The staff is very friendly and professional. Someone checks on you hourly. Some of my favorite nursing staff is Irene, Elizabeth, Brenda, Jillian, and Jatoya. The food is good even though I would rather be home eating my fiancee's food. If you have to be in the hospital you should consider this place. FRV more

I have been in this hospital for about 3 weeks. The staff was really nice and professional. I received really good care. I was seen by therapy 5x week and they really helped me get stronger. I worked out in their gym and was walked in the hall way. Thanks to the wound care team my wound is healing well. I would recommend this facility to anyone that needs hospitalization. more

The staff there take good care of you. They check on you a lot. If you have to be in a place like this, they do a good job. more
