Kindred Hospital The Heights

I just want to say thanks to ms Elizabeth and Jessie who helped me during my stay here, everything now has been worked out. From the kitchen I also want to thank Derrick with food service, Shirley Johnson and ms Armstrong who helped with my diet more

My dad was well taken care of at Kindred. He had wonderful staff/nurses/doctors. He particularly requested Julia Carrillo from wound care to change his dressings on his foot. She was incredible in the care she took with him. Ms. Julia always walked in with a big smile and made everyone feel happy. more

It has been exceptional here, I have no complaints, all the nurses and doctors have treated my daughter with dignity and great care, I can see that the people here are doing the very best they can to make sure that the patients are being taken care of. My daughter is showing a lot of improvement since being here and I just want to commend every nurse, every nurse supervisor and every doctor on the exceptional care they have provided to my daughter. Before coming here like everyone else I saw the negative comments on the hospital site but my experience has been just the opposite of the things that were previously written. more

There were three nurses that stood out during my stay among others they are Elizabeth Dowdy she was very kind and had a very nice smile, Irene is very helpful and explained things as they were happening, swastie has a beautiful heart, Helen Thompson is also a beautiful lady and very nice , I enjoyed Pashia as my nurse, we were like buddies when she took care of me. And ms Johnson I can't say enough about her she had to fight to make sure I had all the proper documentation I needed , mr Jim is a very nice guy always concerned about me, can't forget Esther Charlene Stacey and rose from rehab I even came up with a nickname for rose they helped me get stronger after laying on my back for a month the people here are special and deeply appreciated . The maids Mary and Marie bought clothes for me because they found out I didn't have any. I want to tell you that Dr Siddiqi and Dr Karen Patel are the best doctors in the healthcare field. more

This team is really something to write home about . The people here really have treated me nice , I just want to acknowledge a few people who stands out and who has helped me to enjoy as well as get better while being here at kindred ,starting with my nurse today Holly, Kelley in Woundcare , Helen Thompson - nurse assistant,Arleen nurse assistant, Kathy in Physical therapy- we didn't get along at first but I've grown to know her and we are friends now, Erica in OT and nurse Pashia Brooks who took care of me when I fist got here. Thanks to all the staff ! more

Everyone here is nice beginning with Stacey in rehab, Jim is so nice and that young lady Julie in wound care. This place is so much nicer than the place I came from , I don't ever want to go back there. more

I have been at kindred hospital heights for about 3 weeks. I was very grateful for the services received from all the staff, The case manager Jennifer helped me a lot .The food service was great, comes on time and staff is professional. The nurses provided excellent care. Those c n a's and nurses assigned to me, I cannot remember all their names, they respond on time when I called for anything. My nurse today was Constance and my c n a is Melissa. They are very good. The wound care team were good, they got my wound in good shape, my first encounter with one of the wound was when I first arrived at the hospital , she did an excellent job, she provided me with the information I needed to know about my wound and my other health issues , she answered all my questions, she told me how often ,y wound need to be changed. I really missed her when I was moved to a different floor. I asked for her, the nurses who she is but said that they will ask her to come and see me. I asked about her and remembered her name is Julie, she is cheerful a professional and she places a smile on a sad face. Ms Jessie comes to check on me and on my care and she will assist me with my needs . I love Kindred Heights and I would recommend this place for anyone who needs the service. Thank you all. more

This has been a good stay when I first got here ms Mona was waiting for me to arrive in my room although I fell they should get the air conditioners and heaters serviced on a regular basis there are a few people I would like to mention. Remi in rehab was really nice to me and I enjoyed working with him as well as ntshona, Tonya Melissa Mona flor and Tameka and I can't say enough about Jim the tech.. more

Words can't express the kindness I've been shown from the staff here at Kindred , first Todd with wound care has made such a difference in my life it makes me want to cry. I had no hope about my situation but Todd came in and made me feel like a real man he didn't treat me any different because of my condition like others have in the past. My foot has healed almost completely since Todd has been caring for me and I also want to mention Katie from the kitchen and ms Shirley anything I ask for they were so willing to help me in getting what I needed. You can't find two nicer people. I wasn't ready to leave you guys if you don't believe me ask my case manger Jennifer I kind of gave her a hard time. Thanks to all the staff. more

The staff here was amazing. They were knowledgeable and friendly daily. Love this place despite our circumstances. We love Stacey !!! During our stay here we had the pleasure of coming across a team that treated us so well. It started with Jessie who gave us our tour and information regarding the facility. She was well informed, friendly and made us feel comfy. Your nursing staff in Icu really made us feel like family. Nichelle, Tanna,Regina,Cynthia , Justin and Ms Kim were informative friendly and so genuine. The respiratory team took their time with my mom and explained everything. Marcella,James,John, Nancy and Ed made my moms day to day so much easier. Stacey from therapy was amazing!! She gave us tips and tricks on how to keep my mom motivated and even allowed us to participate. Kelly and Todd from Woundcare were so caring and attentive, once my mom was down to Imu we had great nurses named Carmen and nurse asst named April who laughed with us in these hard times. Tom the monitor tech made our first week at Kindred so comfortable, he brought hot coffee and blankets and was so welcoming. more

Ms Julie she is a good lady and she takes good care of my wounds everyone here treats me nice , I only talk to people I trust and Julie has made me feel special. I Ike it here . I came to Houston in 1948. I like it when she comes to see me and takes care of me. So makes me smile while taking care of me. more

When I got here I didn't know what to expect after transferring from another local hospital but here all the nurses have been great. I have been hospitalized at least 8 or 9 times. I was paralyzed while in the military from the neck down due to a spinal injury, a disk slipped in my spinal canal and my bones deteriorated in 2000 and at that time the people at Brook Army Medical Center took real good care of me from New Years Day through the last week of Feb that year and as I put it, I will always remember them, I am a 21 year veteran and I will never forget how good the staff was to me, I have had other hospital stays since then that I don't care to remember or the people who cared for me but for this place just like Brook Army medical center I will always remember you all, I am so excited to be going home I can hardly talk right now, I have learned how to take care of myself from you guys and how to stay out of the hospital after being in the hospital twice now for my current diagnosis. more

I enjoyed having you as my nurse. Thank you for the very kind words, it meant a lot. I left my phone number so that we can keep in contact. I hate we didn't get to say good-bye. I'm going to Galleria nursing home for 2weeks then home. I would love it if we could talk from time to time. I would like to thank the entire staff nurses and nurses assistants, they all treated me nice and with the up most respect . I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. A special thanks to Ms Kelley and Todd in Woundcare , it's unbelievable how well my wound is, I owe it all to those two people. more

The kitchen Katie helps me whenever something is missing on my tray and she's in it if I have any problems she's a nice person to talk to we watch all the same stuff , we talk in the room and in the hallway. She is an asset to this company more

I have been here over 6 months and my stay has been awesome , I started in Icu and everyone has taken such good care of me , the kitchen staff the nursing staff wound care , rehab and a special Kathy - she peeps in his door every morning and has more energy than me , Erica , Ms Chona darlisa. And not forget my patient coordinator Jessie Gilmore she has been on it. You just tell her about your problems and she will do all in her power to help you . Thanks to the ceo who replaced my item that was misplaced. Kim the night supervisor is really nice, along with ms Ruth , Robert and tamika , Melissa and Esther the kitchen as well has been great , the guy Robert has gotten me everything I needed even if it takes awhile to get it. Julie with wound care is a special person she makes a person feel good when she's working on you. Don't want to forget the other nurse supervisor Karen who I met as well. more

There are some things about this facility that could improve it seems with my dinner and lunch something is always missing . I constantly asking for missing items from meals and when you call the kitchen it takes forever for someone to answer. We do have also some great things going on here such as some special people I would like to acknowledge like the HBO staff and the wound care team especially Julie ... She lifts my spirits nursing care is wonderful day and night, I've come along way and when my condition change everyone did all they could to make sure I got the care I needed. The dietician came by to see me and she really cares for her patients. more
