I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience with Key (all 3 times). Their customer service is fantastic, friendly and competent. The moving team is completely professional, works hard, and shows up on time, prepared and ready to work. And they work fast! More importantly, I'm always impressed with how friendly and happy everyone is - I assume Key must be treating their people well. Moving is stressful enough, Key takes a lot of that worry away. more

Wonderful service from beginning to end. The customer service is great. I always got an email or phone call back right away. The guys who came to move us were professional, courteous, and fast. Before we knew it, our old apartment was packed up and we were unpacking in our new place. This was our third move in 4 years and our first with Key Moving and it was definitely the least stressful and the smoothest. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Key Moving for our next move. more

The service at Key Moving is excellent. The manager is very helpful and does a great job at making sure your stuff is well taken care of. The service is definitely worth the few extra dollars. I wanted to stay in the city, but I hadn't found a new place to stay, so I opted to put my things in storage. The self-storage options seemed like too much of a hassle, but Key Moving was the only company I found that was reasonable. The movers were friendly and there was absolutely no hassle. I ended up moving back to FL, and the manager was very patient with me as I planned a trip to come retrieve my things. When I did pick up everything, the manager wouldn't even allow me to give him a tip for all of his help. Excellent customer service and again, it's worth every penny. more

My friend and I decided to make a major move, 700 miles away from home, to warmer weather. We thought we would just rent a moving truck and do the work ourselves. The price of the moving truck, plus the car trailer we would need came out to over $1200. So we decided to look into moving companies, just to see what prices would be like. I found about 5 companies, that were all in the same general price range, anywhere from $1600 to $2000. I spoke with all of them, in detail about what we would be moving and the terms, and charges each company had. There was just something calming when I spoke to Scott, at Key Moving and Storage, that made the whole thing seem to just ease over. We spoke about two dozen times, mostly me freaking out about the move, or changing things, and every time, Scott listened to what I had to say, and kindly made the adjustments for me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can't even express that enough. Fast forward to moving day, despite the fact that it was sleeting and the roads were glare ice, the moving truck arrived exactly on time. Our "move out" crew consisted of our foreman, Mario, and two other movers. They were all very clean, (hair looked nice, clean shaven, clean, appropriate clothing, and boots tied) and polite. They all came around and introduced themselves to everyone with us. Mario handled all the paperwork with me, and he was very thorough in explaining everything on the contracts I was signing. The guys wrapped and loaded up the truck, with 525 cu ft in just over an hour. They were very efficent, and took great care with our belongings. They even made some cute jokes to make our two year old laugh (because she did not understand why they were taking all of her toys). We had a second location pick up, which was again very easy. The most important item that we moved with us was here. It is a very old fountain passed down to me, and it is all carved from solid stone. Because of its age it is cracking, and in a fragile state. Those guys took such good care of that fountain, I cant even express it. I could not have been more please with them. They took about 45 minutes to wrap all three peices of the fountain, and another 45 minutes to load the truck with 350 cu ft. Again VERY EFFICENT. It only took 3 days for our things to arrive at our new home, 700 miles away. Our "move in" crew was Mario, our foreman, and one of the other guys from out "move out" crew. I was very happy to see them again, because they did such an awesome job the first time. I am sure all the movers employed by Key Moving and Storage are all great and just as efficent as our crew, but I liked these guys. Mario came in first, and we showed him around the house, so he would know where things would go. He could not stop complimenting us on our house, and the area. He was so nice! The first thing off the truck that I looked for was, of course, my fountain. I was expecting that the ride down would have caused more damage to it. I could not have been more wrong. It was just the same as when they has packed it, no additional chips, or cracks lengthened. I was so happy, and relieved to see this! They unloaded everything and put everything where it belonged. They took just about two hours for all the unloading. They put everything where we wanted it, and even set up the furniture. I was very happy with everything about our move. Even the price. We figured it only cost us about $600 extra to hire movers rather than do it ourselves. And $600 to take all the hassle and labor out of moving is SO WORTH IT! If we ever decide to move out of our big beautiful house, I will not even consider calling anyone other than Key Moving and Storage. They are worth EVERY PENNY!! more

We moved locally in the NYC suburb area and our move with 'Key Moving & Storage' was fabulous. They have provided us A+ service at very reasonable and competitive rates. They have a team of great professional people - the owner of the company, customer representatives and the people who physically moved our stuff during my move. During the day of move, movers were so efficient that we didn't even felt that we were actually moving. My move was so smooth from beginning to end. Movers were come on time and were very knowledgeable, polite, experienced and passionated. They lifted all the heavy furniture and boxes like a feather with a smile on their face. They packed all our belongings very carefully and set it back in new home at respective position with very minimal directions from us. They also had taken a very good care of all the fragile items like glass, mirror or TV and other electronics stuff. Our movers left the home in very neat and clean condition, didn't mess up with the carpet and especially they also have stored all the post-move trash at garbage bin. Surely we were stunned. We were very happy with their service. They were super active and didn't waste any time during the move. They stick to the estimated price and didn't charged us a penny more. Neither have they charged us on any other accessory like tape etc. It would be a blunder if I don't hire them in my next move or not to recommend them to my friends. more

My move was from Harlem to Midtown West on a SUNDAY morning & it was FAN--TAB--U--LOUS!! First, I sent Lady Susan an E-mail and she sent me a price quote (VERY REASONABLE), I called her like a mad woman (I was at work and busy) and I KNEWWW she was THE ONE for me (I usually have 5-12 different vendors to choose from, but NOT this time). I hit the JACKPOT! And, I'm EVER SO--HAPPY!! HONESTLY speaking, they came in like a WHIRLWIND & they were LITERALLY in & out (I had 18 boxes-- 4 LARGE Wardrobe boxes and 14 large boxes). They did NOT try to "con" me into buying tape, covers, etc.--I've had my share of rip-off artists. The gentlemen who I refer to are my 3 Musketeers saving the Queen's treasure. They were ON TIME, VERY PROFESSIONAL, yet POLITE (with a smile) and STRONG as Oxen!!! From my BEGINNING to END......I have had NO COMPLAINTS and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND their service to EVERYONE! Obviously, there are people who REALLY think they are Divas & princes, etc. and you can't please everyone, but for MY MONEY, King Moving & Storage is THE ONE I will ALWAYS choose. I recently moved from Boston to Los Angeles. I searched around for a moving company that wouldn't break my bank and could promise me better than a 21-day delivery window. I couldn't wait around in an empty apartment for my belongings for 2 or 3 weeks, and I couldn't pay for a hotel. I called several moving companies -- some well-known -- and all of them provided higher quotes than Key Moving and large delivery windows. When I told Key Moving I needed my things to arrive within a few days of my arrival in Los Angeles, they found a way -- by moving me out of my apartment in Boston almost 2 weeks before I came out to LA -- to promise me that my things would be delivered within a week of my arrival in LA. The movers who arrived at my Boston apartment were on time and efficient and careful, and I was kept abreast of when my things were later leaving the East Coast and when they would be arriving on the West Coast. One of the movers who delivered my things in LA was a little less than careful, but the head mover made sure to monitor him. My furniture arrived carefully wrapped and was put back together well. I will say that two of my wooden bookcases endured what appears to be wood worm damage, likely contracted when they were in a storage facility before heading out west. Fortunately, the wood is distressed so it's not so noticeable. Overall, I was very pleased with Key Moving's ability to keep their promise and get all of my things here on time and in good condition, especially for a cross country move. I recommend them. more

We have used Key Moving twice in the last 13 months. Both time their quote was the best value for money, their service was as good as their word. Efficient, friendly, careful team. First move was from Manhattan to Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, second move from Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, to Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. I will definitely use Key Moving's service again and will recommend it to my friends. more

Key Moving & Storage packed and moved me from the upper eastside in Manhattan to Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Not a long distance move by any means. Nothing was broken or lost. And they provided me with a very reasonable price considering the level of service I received. I had two teams, one who packed and one who did the physical lifting. Both teams were polite, professional and courteous, especially the foremen. The movers in particular, had to deal with a broken elevator and carry items from my store room up four flights of steep stairs to the truck. In addition, the elevator they were delegated to use by my building was usurped by the business that shares it and they ended waiting hours (literally) just to get on. But they managed to get me to Brooklyn and into my new place before sun down. I also used them to unpack as I had many boxes of books and kitchen items. Same polite and efficient team that packed for me showed up and worked very quickly. I would recommend them but suggest that you be sure they don't forget anything as I did have a couple of things left behind. It was partly my fault as I had to leave the apartment before they did in order to get to Brooklyn. And be sure they mark your boxes! more

Key Moving provided us with moving services a couple of weeks ago. The movers were very polite, friendly and courteous. It was clear they took great pains to move our belongings without damaging them. We will definitely use Key Moving again for our next move and recommend them to all of our friends! more

I booked a move with Key Moving based on the good reviews here. I scheduled Key Moving to move my daughter from Durham to Louisiana. They assured me that they could handle a national move. They were trying to get into the national market. 5 days before the move, Susan at Key Moving sent me an email and canceled the move. Broken truck and "strained scheduling." NIGHTMARE!!! I am in a huge bind. Horrible experience. Stay Away! Pros: None Cons: They canceled at the last minute. more

I find it funny that there are no negative reviews when every company at some point will have an unhappy customer; but I have yet to find a negative review, which is why I chose them. Day 1, pick up, 1 mover and one front man, 1 bed room apartment took 2 hours. I over estimated on my inventory list and was quoted with a great price, then with their ridiculous measuring system he comes back with a price that is over $500 more, I could have gone with a name brand company for this price. Now, 21 days later, I still don't have my belongings. I have called, they tell me they put my stuff in storage for a while and it is on its way now. The driver will call 24 hours ahead but really nobody has any idea where my belongings are. They are very lucky I am not in dire need of what is on that truck. Everytime I call, I get a rude response, rude tone from the person on the phone, and the person who sold me on this deal never seems to "be in the office". I would NEVER recommend this company to anybody. I look forward to seeing if my review even stays on ther internet or magically disappears. Update: 25 days after pick-up, my belongings arrived, and although Key Moving told me they were going to be moving my belongings with their truck, the truck that arrived said "Hercules" on it, which was another horrible experience. The leader was rude, and they were unorganized. It took them an hour just to find my belongings on the truck. When they took other people's belongings off the truck, they threw furniture around and boxes, I feel sorry for them, their belongings did not look in good shape. At least I have my belongings. Although I will probably never have to deal with them, I would never use this company again. I would tell anybody who is searching for a company, that the inexpensive quote they give you, is to have you commit so they can raise the price when you are already trapped by them. I had never moved long distance before, and I was very nervous about my move from New York to Chicago after reading some horror stories online. From start to finish Key Moving made the process really easy. Susan was amazing in coordinating scheduling - I needed my items stored for about 2 weeks between pick up and delivery, and had a very small window of when I needed everything to be delivered. They were able to accomodate my request exactly when I needed to receive the items. The movers arrived on time to both pick up and deliver my items, everything arrivedin the same condition as I sent it, and the end price came into my original quote. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. more

They made my moving experience so much easier that it normally is. I've moved 10 times in the past 6 years so I know good movers when I see them. The moving crew arrived at my place 15 minutes early. They worked really diligently and got the whole move done in almost no time at all. Nothing was lost or broken. They crew was really professional and nice. My contact at the company, Susan, was pleasant to talk to, professional and very helpful. In the end they charged me exactly what I was quoted. I would 100% recommend them to anyone who asked. I?ve moved twice with Key Moving and Storage, and would do it again. The first move, from Philadelphia to New York, was flawless and painless in every respect, and very competitive in price. I was impressed by Daniel?s organizational skills, his courtesy, and his promptness in responding to questions large and small. The second move, five years later, from New York to Austin, Texas, was flawless on the packing and moving end - seemingly a repeat performance. However, I discovered after the movers left that two important items were missing from the delivery. Daniel immediately took responsibility, located one of the items, and had the driver of the truck send it to me by UPS. The driver unfortunately did not wrap and seal the box (which he?d opened to check the contents), and a painting was damaged (glass, frame, and matting) ? damage not covered by the moving insurance. Key Moving has agreed to cover the expense of the repairs ? as always, with respect and courtesy. (I?m hopeful the second item will also be located!) more

We came across Key Moving thru the internet. We've been lucky, cause we can't think of anybody better than these guys. Friends recommended other companies. We inquired with at least a dozen. Some didn't show up for an estimate, others gave us very "lose" estimates. Key Moving was clear, efficient and, last but not least, the most competitive. They managed to pack everything and deliver in a very short time. Nothing was broken or missing. There are companies going around saying that they can match anybody else's prices with a better service. These guys didn't say anything like that but they were eventually more competitive and I can't think where other movers can do better than Key Moving. It will be hard just to match their service. If I have to move again, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them. more

From beginning to end it was easy to move with Key Moving. Matt in Customer Service was able to accomodate several changes I had to make to my move date. This was an excellent experience from top to bottom. My own job is to pack and ship artwork, so I know good movers when I see them. The sales person was helpful and kept in contact so we knew what was going on, right down to making sure they had the right insurance forms for our new building. The movers showed up on time and had our apt emptied quickly and safely. Everything went just as smoothly on the other end, right down to the movers reassembling some furniture that they had dismantled to move. Everything came through fine and the job was done at the quoted minimum. I would definitely use them in the future. more

From the first contact with Patrick, to the swift and painless conclusion of the move.. everything was GREAT! I had a little trepidation having found Key on the internet but spoke with three different movers and just felt comfortable with Patrick and his ease and professionalism. I was right! Superb customer service, excellent follow up, super helpful in every way - accomodating and flexible with our last minute plans. Fast, efficient workmen -on time, helpful and courteous. Everything moved like clockwork and the whole thing was a breeze. Estimate was right in the middle, but the service was priceless!
