Actually it was My mother who booked this moving company on my behalf and I am glad she did! Her colleague had used them a few weeks back to move his house and he gave us the number to call. Knowing my parents?. they always find the best deal on earth?.! duh, and they paid for it so I ?m sure they must have made a the best deal. The crew were fast an friendly and although I don?t have much stuff, the truck ended up half full?. The move was completed in less than 4 hours in my new apartment. more

Priort o this move we used another local mover and we were very disappointed with how they performed our small move, this time we used in and out movers and me ad my wife we were absolutely surprised and pleased with their work. although it was a small move, 5 blocks away just 1 room, but they were eager to help and the crew was great. We had a huge move last week and I would like to recommend the fantastic job that the 5 man team did for us during these long weekend... the team was professional, prompt and courteous and most important....just damm quick. \r I had two moving companies scheduled for the same day. Midway Movers to move a big television, and In and Out Moving and Storage to store the rest of my stuff. Midway Movers were right on time, called me as they were near, took my T.V. out in 10 minutes, called me when they neared the new location as well as the people who were receiving the item. They got to both places right on time and charged me exactly what they quoted. \r \r In and Out Moving and Storage came to my place four hours late. Not a big deal, a lot of movers are late. They wrapped my stuff well (it appeared), and got it all out quickly. They left the empty apartment pretty dirty, but I didn't mind too much. They quoted me for $320 dollars. I ended up paying $650. That's more than 100% than the initial quote. They literally, didn't even ""ballpark"" the estimate.\r \r I paid. Then I drove out to Portland, Oregon because that's where I was moving. When I was in Billings, Montana resting for the night, I got a call from them. ""We can't charge your credit card."" I asked them what the problem was. They told me their machine reads, ""Error."" I asked them if reads declined or anything like that, something a normal credit card error would say. They told me no, it just says error. So I told them I'd call the bank to see if there was a problem, and that I'd call them back within the hour. No more than five minutes later did a half English-speaking woman call me again. ""How you pay?"" she said over and over. ""How you pay?"" I tried to explain to her that I was working to rectify the situation and see if it was an error on my part or your companies part. ""How you pay?"" she kept going on. Eventually I just hung up on her and called the bank. There was no error on my end. I call them back, get the half English-speaking lady again. Avoid this company. They seem very nice on the phone. I think I spoke with Jennifer and are very available but after they get you to sign the contract, everything goes really bad. They picked up my stuff as sceduled but then were late with the delivery. When my stuff did arrive, much of it was badly damaged. They ""lost"" one box which just happened to have my golf clubs and scuba gear. I was worried about that box because you could hear the golf clubs in the box during packing. I was worried the movers would realize they were club and steal them. Of course, it did not arrive. They said they would look for the box at the warehouse but of course by then they had my money and stopped taking my phone calls. Also, the insurance company they use is just as bad. They don't return my phone calls, either. It has been over 9 months since my move and I still haven't been able to get an answer. Many of my other boxes that did arrive were heavily damaged like someone was just throwing them around. I had packed like items in various boxes but when I got them, everything was mixed together. They had opened my boxes and mixed stuff up. Some of the expensive items such as vitamins, shaving razors were missing. Of course, no one would speak to me. I never write reviews but I want to let people know that they should by no means use this company no matter how enticing they sound or what offer they give. I am surprised that a company like this can exist but I guess the consumer in this case has no rights. Pros: cheap Cons: everything else more

I will keep this short and sweet: They threw boxes around, breaking my dishes. They destroyed a chest of drawers, literally ripped out a drawer on the way upstairs. They cursed & complained the entire time about climbing stairs and about how many boxes I had. They left my leather couch in the rain while moving other things. And to top it off, the head-guy had the guts to remind me many times that I needed to ""take good care"" of his guys.. pushing a big tip. UNBELIEVABLE! AWFUL! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY!!!! more

I highly recommend NOT using In and Out Moving. My move took 2-3 hours longer than what I was quoted, but that's not the main issue. They made a couple gaping holes in the stairwell of my condo building, but that's not the main issue either. The main issue is that one of the four men who moved my belongings stole a few pieces of my jewelry. The evening before the move date, I moved a drawer from my dresser to my new residence. Amongst other things, the drawer contained a few pieces of jewelry that were both of financial and emotional value. I placed a scarf atop the drawer and set it aside in my bedroom. I then placed another drawer on top of it. On the move date, the movers (4 men) had entered my bedroom at different times bringing in my bed, dressers, remaining drawers and wardrobe boxes. With 4 men bringing my belongings to many different rooms in my 2 story plus basement home, there were times that the men were not completely supervised. The following morning when I began to set up my bedroom, I went to move my drawers back into my dresser and I noticed my ring box which is normally snapped closed, was open and the ring inside was missing. I started to panic, looked through the entire drawer and went on to go through every drawer and item in my bedroom. I did not find my ring anywhere. Instead I found that 4 bracelets that were also in the same drawer were missing too. I knew then that one of the movers had to have stolen my jewelry. I had last seen the jewelry the evening before the movers came to my home when I had strategicly placed it in my drawer. Besides the movers, nobody except my mother, my best friend of 20 plus years and me had been in my home. One of the movers employed by In and Out Moving and Storage had to of taken my jewelry. Since there were 4 men, it may be difficult to prove which of the four men stole the jewelry. But one thing is known for sure: My jewelry was taken by one (or more) of the four men employed by In and Out Moving and Storage. more
