The total moving experience, from initial telephone call to the last box unloaded was exceptional. Look no further for a mover!! Extremely courteous, professional and delivered on...

Worst

I hired these movers for my move from Schaumburg, IL to Canton MI. When we explained what we needed to move when we initially contacted them they provided us a quote and also said...

I would totally recommend them! 5/6/2011

They were totally professional, moved a bunch of book cases, a filing cabinet and some heavy printers up and down two flights of stairs and did everything very efficiently. I would totally recommend them! more

They Sent theMen With Muscle 4/15/2011

Need to move from my 3 floor apartment to a new 1st floor apartment. I looked around for a company to do the move for me because I am not that young anymore. I talked to In and Out Moving and got a quote, which was very reasonable. I hired them and what a great job they did. Very professional. If you are moving I want to recommend In and Out Moving and Storage to you. more

If your moving, I highly reccomend In & Out Movers. 4/4/2011

Great Customer Service 11/18/2010

When Five Star Moving went out of business, In & Out took over their phone number. So when I called Five Star for what would have been my fifth move with them and was redirected to In & Out, I thought, ""What the heck?"" and hired them for my move since their rates were comparable and they were available on the day I needed them. I was pleased with their overall service (relatively on-time, quick, thorough). Our digital piano was damaged due to one of the crew members carrying it upside down up the stairs, but since reporting it, I have received a personal phone call from a manager who is very willingly working with me to resolve the situation. Ariel has been in constant communication with me as I worked to get my piano repaired and has been very helpful during the claims process. more

Very impressed with our move ! 11/14/2010

I was very much impressed with In and Out Moving Company. From the moving out to the moving in they were very professional and careful with all our furniture and the breakable items like: the mirrors and glass table top. All our belongings were protected and delivered without any scratches or damages. The cost was reasonable and they showed up on time. I’m very confident referring other people to this company. more

Wonderful Service 11/1/2010

We moved several times in the past and we know what to expect from a moving day and from a moving company…..it’s really not an easy day but we used In & Out Moving Company and they were great! Our move went well, the movers were very gracious, knowledgeable and they handle our stuff with care and we had no problems what so ever especially at the end when we were fairly priced. I really feel that we got a wonderful service from them…..I’m defiantly recommending. more

horrible experience! 9/29/2010

I do NOT recommend this moving service! Their employees are careless and will break your stuff. Not only did they break my coffee table, but they also forgot to pack some of my furniture... which I was unable to recover. $900 damage on a $600 move (which they quoted me $350 for) was NOT WORTH IT. Go somewhere else. Oh yeah, I WAS reimbursed $30. meh. more

HORRIBLE COMPANY! 9/15/2010

A horrible company, and an extremely unpleasant experience I won't soon forget. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau for unethical business practices.\r \r I hired this company for a moving and storage job: to pick up my belongings at one location, store them in their storage facility (located 5 minutes away) for 2 weeks, then deliver them to a second location. I spoke with a customer service rep, who told me my move would be charged at a rate of $114/hr. As requested by the company, I provided written confirmation (via email) of this contract.\r \r Things got off to a bad start when the moving crew showed up at my house early... 2 WEEKS EARLY. A few days later, I received a Customer Satisfaction Survey asking how my move went... again, before the move even started. I considered switching to another company, even letting them keep my $50 down payment, but I decided to stick it out with them. That is a decision I sorely regret now.\r \r I had provided the company with a list of items to be moved. When the crew arrived at my house on the proper day, the crew chief told me it would take 2 hours to load my belongings onto their truck, and that the entire job would take 5-6 hours. Say what? I asked him why, if it takes 2 hours to load the truck (which includes all the time necessary to wrap all the furniture), why would it take up to 4 hours to unload it at their warehouse (located 5 minutes away)? The crew chief shrugged and said, ""It is what it is."" I flatly refused to pay anywhere near 6 hours of labor. Sure enough, the loading took about 2 hours. Because of my complaining, the crew chief reduced the time charge from a max of 6 hours down to 4 1/4 hours. If this job truly required 6 hours of labor, there is no way that a moving company would reduce their bill by 1 3/4 hrs (approx. $200) just because a customer complained. This was a blatant attempt to rip me off, and I was none too pleased. The crew chief said, ""I'm just doing my job... my boss is not going to be happy about this [i.e., collecting less money from me].""\r \r Meanwhile, the crew left my house looking like a tornado had passed through. Tape rolls and wrapping material everywhere, the water bottles I provided scattered all over my and my neighbor's front yards.\r \r The day before my items were to be delivered at the second location, I called the company to confirm the delivery time (8 am) and rate ($114/hr). When the truck showed up the next day, I was presented with a bill WITH A HIGHER HOURLY RATE ($134/hr). AT NO POINT did I ever agree to this higher rate, and I told the crew chief that this was a mistake. He told me I had to pay it or I wouldn't get my belongings. As it was a Sunday, the company's office was closed, so I had no choice. The crew chief suggested I call the office Monday to get a refund. \r \r [The owner of the company has refused to issue a refund for the higher rate. He told me he didn't need my confirmation/acceptance of this higher rate in order to charge me it. That's right, the owner of this company believes that you can have a legally binding contract between 2 parties EVEN IF ONE OF THE PARTIES HASN""T AGREED TO IT! Outrageous... and completely illegal, of course.]\r \r All payment is due before the truck is unloaded. I paid the crew chief the higher rate for a work time of 4 hours. This company advertises that they bill by the 1/4 hr. The crew finished their work in 3 1/2 hrs, so I asked for a refund for the extra 1/2 hr I paid for. He said, ""Sorry, that's just how it goes. If I don't collect for 4 hours, I will get in trouble with my boss."" \r \r I have never dealt with a more unethical company in my life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Like I said, I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB documenting their abuses. more

Quick , Clean reliable 9/13/2010

Everything to look for in a moving company, we hired them in the past, about 5 years ago when we moved back to Chicago, it's the same management and very good service, from management to the crew everything was taken care of in a very professional way. more

IN & OUT MOVERS GREAT FOR LONG-DISTANCE MOVES 2/24/2010

I just employed the services of IN&OUT moving to move all my stuff (200 boxes!) 1,600 miles from the Chicago area into a three bed-room home in Texas and I am delighted with their service.\r I needed to move soon and called several companies. The big companies told me they couldn’t get a rep to my house until the middle of next week. The rep from IN & OUT was at my door the next morning at 8am. I walked him through all the things I wanted to move and he was very efficient, knowledgeable, thorough, sensitive to my needs, and gave me some good advice.\r The packing crew showed up early the next day and I supervised them for two days as they carefully, efficiently, and professionally packed everything in every room including all my delicate knick-knacks (thochke). On the third day, they loaded the truck and carefully labeled and inventoried every box. In & Out can out-price the big guys because they have a different business model—they operate in most major cities and put your stuff in storage and deliver it once they have enough to fill a large truck and can move it profitably. The contract stated 14 days until delivery. This sounds like a long time but please allow me to tell you why it is not. Once in Texas, Just imagine all the things you have to do when you move to a new state! I had pre-arranged a wireless internet install the first morning in my new house and that went smoothly. I introduced myself to my new neighbors and they graciously answered all my questions and gave me more good advice.\r I found the local grocery store and purchased food, cleaning supplies, disposable plates, bowls, forks, paper towels, kleenex, toilet paper, etc—items I was going to need anyway. I tested out all the keys the previous owners had left me to learn what was for what.\r I re-cleaned the house and decided which room would be used for what (as well as figuring out which electrical switches did what.) I read the directions and learned to operate all of the kitchen appliances. I figured out how to operate the furnace, air conditioning, and automatic gas fireplace. I walked through the yard and figured out the landscaping in detail as well as how to operate the automatic irrigation system.\r Using the internet and phone I arranged billing for electric, gas, water, sewage, and trash. There was a security system installed so I called the vendor to come out and “activate” me. I learned that my wireless provider did not cover this area well so I researched with the neighbors and on the internet and switched to another cellphone company.\r I registered at the local post office. I opened a new bank account and had my funds transferred. I drove around to get to know the neighborhood and city and restaurants and businesses. I arranged to have my prescriptions and insurance info transferred to the local pharmacy. I researched and found a new Physician and had my medical records transferred as well as switching my health insurance to the new state.\r I went to Lowes and had a washer and dryer delivered. I found a local optometrist and dentist and hair salon. I explored the local walking trails. The first four days passed so quickly that I was surprised when United Auto Transport called me to say my car would be delivered tomorrow at noon! We kept in close contact via phone. Now MORE work began.\r I had to get the car insured, inspected, registered, and plated. Then I had to get a new drivers license. When the IN & OUT guys called and said they would be here tomorrow (day 10), my first reaction was “not yet, I’m not ready!” They arrived exactly on time and worked with such amazing efficiency that they had every box in the right room and all the furniture assembled and placed within 7 hours with no break for lunch. \r There was not one item missing or broken. In and Out has always had a sterling reputation for local and long-distance moves. I suggest you give In & Out a call for out-of-state moves. Pros: EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS Cons: DICOUNT FOR CASH PAYMENT more

Great Moving Company 1/7/2010

I used In and Out Movers to move from the City to the West Suburbs and would definitely recommend them to anyone planning on moving. They are customer service focused, professional, and hard working. The morning of my move it snowed 6 inches -- they arrived early and when I arrived they went right to work. Their price was actually a little less than the quote -- even with extra travel time due to weather. There were no surprises and no extra fees -- best movers I have ever used!!! Highly recommended. Pros: The Perfect Move more

Great, Easy and Inexpensive! 12/14/2009

From the time I found In and Out Movers online, and called Patrick, the move of my office was nothing but easy!! I even had to delay the move one week, and that was not an issue or problem for In and Out!\r I was quoted a price over the phone based on what I told them needed to be moved, so Patrick based it on a 4 hour time, for four guys... Once the move was over (in 3 1/2 hours) the price was just as quoted!!\r The movers were polite, friendly, and quick!\r And Oscar who mangaed the guys was amazing... \r I actually emailed the day before our move, to explain that there were going to be a few other moves ou of our building that day, so I was promised by Patrick that the guys would be to me first thing in the morning, on a Saturday... they pulled up at 8:05am :-)\r If you are reading my review, I HIGHLY suggest In and Out movers... If I ever need anything moved or stored, I will surely use them again!! Pros: On time/Fast/Friendly more
