Grant & Charles Rock! I was very impressed with my experience at Ibiza. My new favorite restaurant! Their Flowers are amazing-very unique and sexy. Pros: Great Flowers more

Best in town!! 5/17/2005

Anytime I'm eating out, Ibiza is always at the top of my list. Great service, amazing menu (food and drink), and best patio in town! Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Houston!!! Pros: patio, service, FOOD more

A Favorite 2/25/2005

We have dined at Ibiza several times, are taking friends there tonight for my wife's birthday, and have even sent my in-laws there for an arranged anniversary dinner. Food is out-of-sight, wine is well-priced (for a restaurant) and the overall experience is consistently excellent. Keep it up Ibiza! more

Upscale with Jazz Twist 10/25/2004

It had been too long since my return to Ibiza. But having returned after almost a year and a half, I found the ambience, service, atmosphere, food, wine list, and jazz music to be right on cue, better than ever. The wine list is extensive, and yet moderately priced. The menu is both ecclectic and creative. And the jazz music playing over the hidden speakers adds a very nice touch to a casual, slightly upscale dinner. The Paella special of the evening, was wonderful as well. Pros: Romantic, Creative Flair, Subdued Lighting more

Disappointed 9/1/2004

We were very dissapointed with Ibiza. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation; waiter was slow, never asked us if we needed another glass of wine/tea, didn't ask us how are food was (after receiving our entree or after dinner), didn't light the candle on our table, etc.; our steak was crispy black on the outside and done inside (we asked for medium); our pork chops were gummy rare in the middle; we waited 20 minutes for our check; manager/owner stopped by every table on the patio but ours (to check on service/food I assume); restaurant was overpriced for the food/service received. I would not go back here and strongly suggest you don't either. cwlowrance Pros: great valet workers Cons: , restaurant overpriced more

Superb! 9/1/2004

My experiences at Ibiza have always been wonderful. Waiters are very attentive and experienced to give suggestions. Wine list is out of this world and so CHEAP compared to other restaurants (they must have a direct connection to Spec's). Would suggest it to anyone wanting a fabulous time out with scrumptous food and huge coice of wine. Bon Appetite! Pros: good parking, not over-priced, very clean restrooms more

Not too bad 6/19/2004

The food was decent, but I can't remember what either of my parents or I ate, so obviously there's nothing really spectacular about the food. However, their wine list is extensive with very interesting wines. The best part is that they sell the wines for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The service is pretty good. If you're looking for a place to get a bite, some drinks, and mingle, Ibiza is a place to try. Pros: Wine list, Atmosphere more

Take it ALL IN 12/27/2003

Don't let the prices scare you. If you a in search of GREAT food, excellent service and chic dinning, this is the place! Ask for Leo! He's awsome. And if it's your birthday, they bring new heights to Cotton Candy (Smile). Overall, I just love this place. Great for drinks after work, dinner for a romantic date, or as I plan to do, bringing in the New Year! Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Service Cons: Some what expensive, sometimes parking more

One of my favorites... 10/24/2003

Ibiza has recently become one of my favorite restaurants in Houston thanks in part to the new crew of hostesses. The food is tasty, interesting, and nicely presented. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they help make the evening enjoyable. more

Another bad experience 8/14/2003

Perhaps the chef was having a bad evening, but on the recommendation of some friends, we tried Ibiza for dinner in mid-July. The salmon was undercooked and a little slimy, and my cornish hen was microscopic and overcooked. The accompanying vegetables were too far on this side of al dente, barely passed over a flame. We should have complained to management but we didn't. Perhaps we'll give them another chance during a lunch. Pros: uncrowded Cons: food horrible more

CHARLES AND GRANT ROCK 7/10/2003

Chef Charles Clark and partner Grant have got it down pat. When you walk in you feel as though your are at home but mama never cooked like Charles. Food is some of the best in town Wine list is the best in town and the staff is great. This is one of those places that you can't wait till you go back. more

Our experience 3/22/2003

The food was fabulous. From the appetizer to dessert...everything was delicious and the presentation was great. The bread pudding is mouth watering. Pros: food, ambiance, good parking Cons: location more

great food! 3/3/2003

This was my second visit to Ibiza and as before it was fantastic. THe owner/chef really has a flare for fine cuisine and puts his heart into every plate. THe pecan crusted tuna is supurb and I HIGHLY recomend the bread puding for desert. And I don't evevn really care for bread puding...until now. THe creme brulee is also another fine treat. I read some of the previos reviews of this establi9shment and they were not very good. But being a member of the service indusry myself I can tell you that it takes a while for each new restaurant to tie up loose ends and become a fine working machine. I know for a fact that some of Houston's finest waitstaff now reside at Ibiza. A good staff can make or brake your business. So, Ibiza now has great food and a great staff. Good work! Pros: entree's & dessert, wine list, waitstaff Cons: hostess more

I recommend it. 2/11/2003

I have been to this restaurant twice for lunch and loved it. The atmosphere is urban and sylish, the food is really good, and the wine is not too pricey. The service during ""off"" hours was great. The trout is great. Pros: Great fish more

Let's Salsa 2/5/2003

This place never fails to keep the patron happy. They made special plates for our large perty, so we could all sample appetizers, and the chef's hospitality was extrordinary! He seemed truly intersted in our questions. I recomend this place to anyone that enjoys dining. more

Gotta Try It 1/13/2003

The food was great, if you are into grill food then this is the place, the wine list is terrific and the service is excellent. The dark atmosphere makes it romantic and the background music is great. The restrooms are nice too. Pros: Good Parking, Good Service, Good Wine Cons: Downtown Construction more

Thrice as good 12/30/2002

After the 3rd visit to Ibiza, I firmly believe the food just gets better every time! Two weeks later, I'm still craving those crab claws, recommended by our unintrusive, knowledgeable waiter. Extensive wine list, although not all vintages were printed. Dessert, although still very good, would be the lowlight of the meal. I'd eat there again. Pros: location, variety more

Horrible for large groups 10/6/2002

After reading the wonderful reviews on Citysearch, I had my heart set on a great experience at Ibiza...I was sorely disappointed. Although I made reservations for a large party, I still had to wait for them to prepare a table for us. The food was only subpar and the service was horrendous. After paying for a meal that I could have made myself, we hunted down in the parking lot like fugitives and falsely accused of not paying our bill. Come to find out, not only did we pay our bill, we paid almost $50 over the gratuity-included check. Not only was our party embarrassed for the rude display which took part in front numerous outdoor patrons, we were further insulted by the half-hearted apology given to us by their staff. I must say that I will never return to Ibiza and further would not recommend this restaurant. Cons: service more

No question- great restaurant 10/6/2002

Not sure why so much mixed opinion - I have been going to Ibiza ever since it opened. I sometimes feel quite short - it seems like the hostesses and the wait-staff are all over 6'! Beyond that, the food is quite delicious, especially the Calamari for a starter. I haven't been in a while, so perhaps this is no longer an issue, but they do need to freshen up the menu now and then - it gets old when you are somewhat of a regular. The number one reason to go to Ibiza is if you like good wines with your meal and are tired of getting ripped of when you dine out. There are some excellent prices (not low in absolute terms necessarily, but a lot less than one usually pays for the quality). There are some hard-to-find wines as well... Pros: Value-priced Wines, Great Food more

A MUST TRY 8/8/2002

Living in the neighborhood, we are able to frequent this restaurant and have never been disappointed. I have read reviews on the price of meals here, but it is a place you can share a salad and a FABULOUS pizza and get out under $20.00. Any time a friend or family comes to town this is definitely our place. Pros: Culinary Perfection, Variety, Wines Cons: Parking more
