Best

A Chicago landmark and must try if you haven't. Great Italian dishes and deep dish pizza.

Worst

This location was so slow I would have left had it not been raining. It took 90 min. to get one pie. At that, it was lukewarm at best and very average...

Like it or love it, it is your choice 7/26/2006

if you like pizza you'll love giordano's, if you don't like pizza you'll love giordano's. This is a meal that you cannot miss with, try the deep dish or the thin crust it doesn't matter, just depends on how hungry you are. Have loved this pizza since first trying it in june 1992. Pros: excellent italian food choices Cons: too many people love it not enough seating more

Giordano's is #1 in Chicago 7/23/2006

I was born in Chicago and have lived in many other major cities, Giordano's is by far the best pizza around. The ingrediants definitely make the pizza. The deep dish has a great mixture of sauce and cheese, along with whatever else you add to it. The crust is also doughy so that it is easy to eat. Lou Malnati's and Gino's East are close behind, but Giordano's has been #1 in our family for as long as I can remember. We order pizza every friday night and Giordano's is our choice 75% of the time. The thin crust is just as good. A lot of cheese, great sauce and a little greasy, but that's what makes it taste so good. You can't go wrong with Giordano's, Lou Malnati's or Gino's East, but my first choice is always Giordano's Deep Dish. more

Don't bother 7/14/2006

Have tried Giordano's three different times, will never go back. Didn't like the crust, the sauce, or anything else about this chain. Lifetime Chicagoan, don't feel that this is at all representative of our wonder Deep Dish pizza. Pros: Unfortunately, I couldn't find any. Cons: Really didn't like the food at all, also poor service. Will never go back. more

The best of the best! 6/23/2006

After living in Chicago for 23 years, Giordano's is the best pizza made anywhere on the planet. I've been to several in the Chicago area and one in Orlando, and have always been very satisfied. After leaving Chicago, 10 years ago, I make a point to consume as much as possible when visiting. Leave the California and floppy New York styles on the coast. Don't order appetizers, save your palate for the main course, pizza. I've had Uno's, Lou Malnati's, Gino's, Barnaby's and many others, but there is no comparison to the food quality at Giordano's. The in-restaurant atmosphere is good, not great, but if you want to know what pizza is supposed to taste like, visit Giordano's. Perfect for a romantic date, a family gathering, or after the game with the boys. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Food quality, second to none. Cons: average atmosphere more

A MUST!!!!!! 5/11/2006

Every time we got to Chicago, we go to Giordano's and we're NEVER disappointed!! We even tracked them down when they moved. HA! Pros: ambience, service Cons: liked first location more

Not bad...Malnati's is way better! 5/11/2006

I always heard people say Giordano's was great, so I went and tried it and I wasn't impressed. They have good service, and the place was nice and clean, but the pizza is nothing more than average in my book. more

Im from chicago and now live in ohio i have always loved there deep dish pizza..now when i visit my main reason is to pick up a few pizza frozen and half baked to enjoy in ohio and to let friends and family in ohio taste what i left behind.... Pros: good prices, good service Cons: only in chicago, need one in ohio more

Giordano's is on the top of my list 1/11/2006

I don't live in Chicago, but visit Giordano's every time I visit! Not only is the stuffed crust pizza the best I've ever eaten....but their ravioli is to die for!!! It is worth the wait! Pros: Excellent food, inexpensive Cons: Gets crowded more

Nothing Special 11/3/2005

I've been to Giordano's several times and I know it has quite a following. I've never considered it all that great. OK but not great. Crust tends to be dry and hard and the sauce a little watery. Restaurant ambiance is nice enough but the place does tend to be a bit pricey for what you get. Best part of my experience there was the bartender who was friendly and chatty. I'd definitely go here for a few drinks. Pros: Great Bartender, Nice Atmosphere, Nice Variety of Food Cons: Little Pricey more

Stay In Your Neighborhood 10/26/2005

Average pizza with cracker like crust... yuks! The deep dish was better, but my waitress who didn't speek or understand English very well gave it to me by mistake and even disagreed and argued with me about my order. Tourists who have never had a good Chicago pizza should be happy though. Pros: location more

Coming to the burbs!!!! 7/14/2005

FINALLY!! I dont have to go all the way into the city to have some pizza that is worth eating!!!! I know there are locations out in the burbs, but not all that close to me til now. Great pizza, wonderful place for tourist to stop and eat. Im a local and love it!! more

WOW!! 6/7/2005

Giordano's quickly became my families favorite place to eat in Chicago! more

Great people, great pizza!! 6/7/2005

Not only does Giordano's have great pizza, cannoli, and salads, but they are very generous in their support of the arts. I've had two show openings in which they have very generously contributed pizzas. I highly recommend their pizza, their salads and their people. more

The Best! 6/7/2005

Absolutely the BEST pizza in Chicago! Inexpensive, curtious staff, great atmosphere. Highly recommended! Pros: Inexpensive more

Giordanos is the best 1/20/2005

Giordano's pizza is without a doubt the best pizza on the planet. I used to live in chicago and I went there all of the time. I literally was depressed when I moved to florida because I thought that there weren't any Giordano's pizza restaurants outside of Illinois. To my wonderful surprise I was able to find two of their restaurants down in orlando. I currently live in Tallahassee Florida and I have on occasion driven the 3 1/2 hours to Orlando just so that I can have a piece of Giordano's pizza. It's the greatest. more

This is the restaurant we seek out when we visit Chicago. As a child I lived in Chicago and loved the pizza. Moved south and thought that I had just remembered it wrong. Then I visited Giordano's and mama mia it was just as I remembered ""DELICIOUS"" Pros: walking dist. hotel more

I LOVE IT! 1/5/2005

Giordano's is the place I take ALL of my friends when we want pizza. I've been to about five of them already and EVERY one of them was terrific. Theis stuffed pizza is FANTASTIC! It's so great that I guarentee that you'll crave it later. Their service is awesome! It's also inexpensive. Although I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a quite, romantic spot. But if you're looking for a good, comfortable and friendly atmosphere-here's the spot. Overall the place ROCKS! Pros: Awesome atmosphere, Awesome PIZZA Cons: , Sometimes crowded more

Damn Good Pizza!! 7/30/2004

Usually I get the stuffed because it is the best in Chitown. To my delight one day our family decided to try the thin crust and boy was it tasty!! The menu is right where it says ""not less famous"" about the thin crust. Not alot of spices, but if your a cheese person this pizza is for you!! Also, the sausage is excellent and crust is cripy a key for a good pie. Pros: Great Pizza, Value, Inexpensive more

BEST PIZZA 7/18/2004

I LOVE GIORDANO'S STUFFED PIZZA, IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PIZZA. LIVE IN NYC AND DO NOT LIKE THE PIZZA HERE. IT IS FLAT AND GREASY. Pros: TASTES GOOD, FRESH INGREDIANTS more

Simply the best pizza, period 5/13/2004

I am a big fan of deep dish pizza, loaded with gooey cheese. I travel to the Chicagoland a few times a year, and have to get a Giordano's pizza at least once during my visit. The last time I was in town for a week, I ended up eating there 3 times. I've tried a few other pizza joints that claim to have great deep dish pizza, and they're not bad, but I have to say Giordano's is the best I've had. Pros: Deep dish rules, lots of cheese, excellent crust more
