Ate here for lunch today and it was a good experience. The decor in this place is definitely strange, but it is in the Design District, so it's not really that much of a surprise. The space is expansive, but it's a pretty neat area to eat.\r

I went with one other person and first we had the Insalata di Gorgonzola, which has bibb lettuce, gorgonzola dressing and crispy speck. This salad was absolutely amazing and the dressing was perfect. It had a bit of a mustard-ish flavor, but it went perfectly with the salad. The crispy speck was amazing as well. It was a nice, crispy, thin slice, but was very flavorful and excellent. I would highly recommend this salad.\r

Next, we had the shrimp antipasti, which came with fennel, carrots, red onions, and a lemon oil sauce. The shrimp were very good and were cooked well and it seemed like a nice, light dish that is sort of like a tapas style concept. If you like shrimp, then this is a good dish for you.\r

Third, we had our entrees. I ordered the beef carpaccio dish with arugala and artichokes. It was an okay dish, but it didn't really have much flavor. I definitely wouldn't order the dish again. I had to add some salt and pepper just to get some semblance of taste on the dish. The person that I was with had the Melanzane, which is grilled layered eggplant with herbed ricotta and tomato sauce. This dish was absolutely amazing. It reminded me of a lighter version of eggplant parmagiana. The dish was really well balanced and it made me wish that I ordered that one instead of the carpaccio.\r

Finally, we ended with a cheese course. I didn't catch the name of it, but it was a very soft, white cheese that was a combination of cow, goat, and sheep's milk. It came with apricots, figs, and walnuts as well. It was very good cheese and I would highly recommend this cheese. I just wish I remembered the name. \r

I would try this again, but I would definitely order a different entree if I had to do it over again.
