Feline Day Spa

I went to Feline Day Spa a year ago and it was my first time then I have recently visited again and I don't know how to tell you this but this place is AMAZING. I had a blast the first time and the second time I went. Everyone there were very nice and kind. I enjoyed my spa retreat there and will be coming back for more by the end of this month! I'm looking forward to one of the body wraps I heard around the block that this was the place to go for. more

I was really shocked to read the review from apa1982 on 4/19. Sea, who performs the electrolysis, is nothing but the most incredible professional I have ever trusted with my face. She has never been anything but completely honest about how my face will react, and is extremely cautious in taking things slow. She has performed electrolysis on my face for the past year, and I have had amazing results. Anyone who has had electrolysis on their face knows that it's an aggressive regimen that can really iritate the skin. Sea has always gone slow enough that I'm not scared to show my face the next day. Please ignore that posting from 4/19 - the reviewer must have had a bad day and was annoyed that Sea was following her personal treatment guidelines for which I have always been so appreciative. She also performs fantastic facials! more

I recently wrote a complaint re: an unsatisfactory manicure/pedicure experience. It was not my goal to get a free manicure/pedicure and I didn't even know that the owner was able to contact me through this review. However, she called me and kindly apologized about this service and immediately offered me a free manicure/pedicure. I think this gesture proves that the owner is professional and very concerned about giving good service. My service is scheduled for next month since I'm not in NY now but I hope I won't be displeased this time. Lynn more

Best Facial ever! I was glowing when I left the spa. Ask for Marta.. shes amazing! They also dont push products on you but more than happy to help you pick out what you need. Im definately going back. more

I feel bad about complaining but I was so offended by my recent poor quality manicure/pedicure with Sueve esp. since I am a returning facial customer and spent more than $400 in services and products that day. She started by giving me the wrong pedicure so I had to ask her to check my reservation. Toenails were raggedly cut and hastily filed. She almost cut my skin under the nail twice and didn't apologize. Cuticles were poorly done also. I pointed one out so she removed the polish and redid. She clumsily brushed against 3 nails and smeared them so had to redo. More cuticles had to be redone but I was so frustrated at this point that I didn't say anything since she should be the "professional". Then, to top it off, during the drying process I was totally ignored so I had to go to the reception to ask for help. They didn't even acknowledge me and kept on doing their accounting since it probably was late. I had to call their attention more than once even if I was the only one there. Only one lady was nice. I do not recommend this manicurist, however, their facials are good depending who you go to. Joanna was excellent--very qualified, professional, cordial and attentive. When it comes to pedicures I am very picky. I have a tendency to get ingrown toe nails, which if you don't know can be very painful, so I don't trust anyone to cut my toe nails. Pros: Upper West Side, Clean more

The staff is so incredibly rude when making an appointment that I would never allow them to treat me! A woman with a very thick foreign accent who performs the electrolysis treatments basically called me a liar when I tried to explain how my skin reacts. I received a Honey Almond body scrub at Feline's on 4/16. This was my first time receiving a body scrub so I wasn't sure what to expect. A wonderful woman named Helena performed my body scrub, using loofah mitts and a lightly scented almond paste. She was very attentive and scrubbed my skin vigorously. At first, I thought the scrubbing would irritate my extremely sensitive skin but, surprisingly, it didn't and I was happy to see all of the dead skin sloughed off. Once I rinsed off in the shower, my skin was smooth and baby soft. Helena used a dry oil mist afterwards, which smelled like gardenias. I am not too keen on floral scents but this one wasn't too bad. This winter my face has suffered the effects of exzema really badly. I went to Feline's for a facial and was booked with Sia. She worked wonders for my face. It's been a month and I plan on going back in the future. Now I look normal again, no more blotchy skin and no more bad dry spots. If you want a facial that is both relaxing and lasts go to Sia! Also, the place is beautiful, neat and relaxing. I plan on going back to try other services as well! Pros: Excellent Facial! Cons: None! more

I had a day of beauty at this spa. My nail services were no different then any other place and way overpriced. My massage was pretty good but not the best- I had a man and prefer a woman. My facial was AMAZING! my skin was broken out badly and now it is all healed. I will def be back for the facials. Overall a good place and I would go back to try other treatments. more

I have been to many spas and this one takes the cake. The staff is very attentive and it has a full range of services from you basic facials to nail care and body work. It has the combination of an inspensive New York spa with the prices of one from the outer boroughs. more

What a great experience! My skin was desperately dry from the weather and Marta gave me the most amazing treatment and facial. I usually break out or feel oily when I"ve had facials in the past but its almost a week later and my skin still feels amazing!! I rarely indulge myself with treatments such as this but the results were beyond expectation so I think I'm going to have to create a budget for a regular visit. She must be out of her mind! Feline is my favorite and only spa that I go to. The mani/pedi lasts forever and it always looks perfect! The french manicures are tres jolie! Also, the massages and facials are excellent and the employees are very polite and professional. So when someone suggests that they don?t change their towels in between waxes, they must have something wrong with them(Sorry but i have to speak the truth!). For waxing, they use TABLE PAPER, the same as in the doctor office. They also take new spatulas for each client which in other places (I?ll be nice and not point fingers at anyone) they don?t! Here's the run down: they do a pretty good job at waxing (but be prepared to have to "participate" in the job; i think their pedicures are not worth it.. i got one of the fancy pedicures and it was mediocre for the price - you can get much better service & treatments at some of the less "spa" places; it doesn't really have a "spa" experience in general & the rooms are actually a bit dingy (in fact, i don't think they even change the underlying towel on the table that you get waxed on between waxes; i have had very good massages there tho. if it's convenient to get to, then it's ok.. but if you;re looking for a lavish spa experience & lots of pampering.. keep looking. I had the Brazilian with Lucyan and she was terrific. Very discreet and professional. It wasn't terribly painful and she did a thorough job. The services available are quite extensive. The spa manager is a true professional. They go out of their way to please their clients. Excellent customer service!! more
