SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE 3/26/2012

This was my second time using this location. First time was not a good experience, but I thought surely, it would not happen again. Wrong. Spend your money at another location! Ordered new glasses, the wrong frame was ordered. Correct frames reordered, then late due to damage at lab. Was not informed in a timely manner that damage had occurred. Employee refunded money instead of charging my account, had to make special trip to add charges to my account. Manager/Doctor wanted me to give financial information over phone, at this point; I have no faith in their ability. Manager/Doctor was rude. Just a disaster. I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY HERE AGAIN. more

Dr.Barnes saved my life 5/22/2010

I've been a patient of Dr. Barnes for years and at a routine check-up she found some drastic changes to my vision. Dr. Barnes refused to refill my prescription for my contact lenses until I had seen my primary physician because she suspected that my blood sugar was way too high. She was right on the money. I had diabetes and didn't know it. Now my diabetes is under control and Dr. Barnes does special exams on my eyes because of the diabetes. She could have just taken my money and given me the lenses. But she used her professional judgment and, in my opinion, saved my life by diagnosing my diabetes. I would recommend Dr. Barnes to everyone. Pros: Professional and thorough more

Not recommended 2/8/2010

I was a customer of Eye Care Associates for several years and put up with the constant suggestions that I add on extras to my exam and glasses because I trusted them and figured it was worth it for good eye care. This year I found out that they completely missed my cornea condition, despite 1) giving me a full exam with dilation, photos, etc.; and 2) I TOLD them specifically to look for this condition, as it is genetic and I just found out that 2 of my siblings have it. A month after Eye Care Associates gave me a clean bill of health, another optometrist informed me that I do have the disease; this has been confirmed by a second eye doctor since then. Friendly yet upsell driven 8/29/2008

My husband and I went to Eye Care Associates and while we felt the staff was very friendly and knowledgable, we could have been visiting a used car dealership. Fees were added continuously, I had to tell both our sales representatives numerous times that price was an issue. No, I do not want that $300 pair of Coach glasses, please show me something closer to my price range. I understand they are doing their job but I am doing mine in trying to avoid bankruptcy. Caring Terrific Awesome Service for your Family's eyes 2/10/2008

Could not disagree w/ the other post more. First, it is against the law in NC to create contacts or glasses w/out a current prescription. Period. Sorry, but thems the facts buster. Pros: Up to date state of the art medical and technological service Cons: can think of none.... glasses etc are expensive everywhere more

Very Angry Customer 1/5/2006

I cannot believe how rude and unsympathetic the staff is at Eye Care Associates. I was visiting a friend in Vegas and damaged my contacts. I had to drive back from Vegas to Raleigh the very next day and Eye Care Associates refused to call me in one prescription to the WalMart here in Vegas because my prescription had recently expired. Apparently they care more about getting their yearly check-up money than my safety driving a car unable to see! I will NEVER go back there again and I will tell everyone I know how selfish and greedy they are. more
