I've been a patient of Dr. Barnes for years and at a routine check-up she found some drastic changes to my vision. Dr. Barnes refused to refill my prescription for my contact lenses until I had seen my primary physician because she suspected that my blood sugar was way too high.
She was right on the money. I had diabetes and didn't know it. Now my diabetes is under control and Dr. Barnes does special exams on my eyes because of the diabetes.
She could have just taken my money and given me the lenses. But she used her professional judgment and, in my opinion, saved my life by diagnosing my diabetes. I would recommend Dr. Barnes to everyone.
