I was just reading some other reviews and HAD to put my two cents in. I have been seeing Anne Burke for years (the BEST I have ever dealt with in my life - stylist AND people skills) but Janet (I hope I have name right) - she is the one at the front desk in her 50's (or at least looks like it, with bleach blonde hair, a frown on her face at all times) - has got to be the RUDEST B*&*% I have ever ever dealt with on a professional level. If I didn't love Anne so much, I'd give that woman a piece of my mind. SHE needs a reality check! She is a manager at a salon - not a scholar or other type of professional - just because she is bitter about her lack of education and aging, doesn't mean she has to be such a (*&%!! I have had so many bad experiences at J-Con I had to write about it to warn other patrons. I had very blonde hair and told the stylist that I wanted to go a little bit darker. She didn't listen to barely anything I said and all of the sudden she was putting a demi-permanent hair dye all over my head. When I walked out of the salon, my hair was a very dark brown, almost black color. It looked absolutely horrible. To add insult to injury, the next day the salon called me AT WORK and told me that they did not charge me enough for the color and I had to go back to the salon to pay them another $25 on top of the $150 that I had been charged for a cut and color. (This was not the first time the salon had called me back to tell me I owed them more money.) I asked to speak to the owner after I was finished paying for my horrible hair color and he told me they would fix it. But guess what, they charged me to fix THEIR mistake! This salon is a joke. Instead of spending their money on good stylists and improving customer service, they spend it on renovating the salon. I would not trust my hair to J-Con. The only person who is nice and talented there is Jan who does waxing and facials. I would highly recommend her. Just because the prices are high at J-Con does not by any means make them an upscale salon. At least they got the name right! These people are very rude. I was treated like I didn't matter, when I called I was on hold forever and the girls voice was like she was bored. The prices were out of control, and the service didn't warrent them. more

Terrible service for my daughter's wedding. Lots and lots of money for the 8 member wedding party to do hair and make-up, but it was not a happy or professional experience and will always be a sore point when mentioned thanks to rude staff and poor service on her special day. I've been going to Anne on and off for years (the off is only due to a limited budget). She's always able to fix what the others have messed up and I plan on going to here as long as I live here. Pros: Parking, Convenient Location, Great Technical Skill Cons: Pricey, but worth it. more

I JUST READ THE BAD REVIEW ON TIM MY JAW DROPPED. THAT IS WRONG. HE IS SUCH A TALENTED STYLIST. I ONLY WISH THAT ONE STYLIST IN INDIANA HAD HIS TALENT. IF YOUR OUT THERE ...EMAIL ME. I was recommended to go to JCON because ot the talent and high level of service. I am a very positive person who never complains, I read these reviews on CitySearch and I was confident this was the salon for me. I have to tell my story, because I didnt get anything the other people described in their reviews which makes me believe that JCON wrote those reviews. My stylist, TIM was 25 min late, thats no problem. BUT my consultation with TIM was a joke, he is one of the most expensive stylists there, and he rushed through the consult, and didnt listen to a word I said. I stated exactly what I was trying to achieve, and what turned out wasnt even close (cut or color). TIM wasnt going to blowdry my hair because it didnt "fit into his schedule" but to me, that is the only way we were going to see if the color & cut was right. TIM said "very rarely do his clients get their hair dried and styled", what a joke! Since I wasnt going directly home, I needed it dried and styled. Tim paired me with a male assistant fresh out of school, probably 19 yrs old with tatoos, earrings & punk rock hair. This kid didnt know anything. I walked out with a bill nearly $200 and hated the style so much I put it in a pony tail. I told the receptionist, BRITTANY I was very dissatisfied and she actually ignored my comment completely. Even though an inexperienced assistant styled my hair, I was charged Tims "Master Stylist" price. The next day I went in and talked to JANET the manager. Basically she was nice until I had a problem, then she turned into a COLD B***H, and basically refused to speak to me about my experienced and offered to get the owner, JOE. She went into his office, which has a window (so you can see whats going on in there) She was pointing, making eye contact and saying rude things, I could just tell. I then spoke to JOE in his office in front of a 5ft picture of Christ. I was talked down to like a child, and was made out to be a bad person for complaining. My hair is fine and color treated. It has always been a struggle to find a stylist who knew how to handle my kind of hair. I go to a a Master stylist at JCon. It is the best cut I have ever had ... ever! Family lives in Clearwater, I now live in Minnesota (where they should know about fine hair given all the Scandinavians there) .I try to hold off on haircuts as long as possible - until I am home visiting family - so I can get it cut and colored at J Con - with Anne (she's wonderful!!) I obviously highly recommend. Pros: All professional - 100% Cons: Cost is always an issue but in this case you get what you pay for - Excellence! Did push products some but products are excellent so I didn't mind as much more

I recently moved to the area and had the pleasure of having Marissa, one of the "new team" cut my hair. Her shapoo was fantastic and I have never liked a haircut so much. I'll be back, more
