JCon - Katie N. - Master Stylist & Colorist 3/6/2011

I have been a customer of JCon's for about 6 years now. I was referred to Katie by a fellow employee and have been faithful to her since. She is an amazing hair stylist and colorist. I like vibrant red hair with highlights and everytime I see her my hair comes out perfect. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I've referred a few people to her as well who wanted her business card after seeing my hair. I will not go to another stylist after having the best! more

Cameron Smith is the BEST stylist ever! 3/5/2011

Cameron is the best stylist I have ever been to. He listens to what you want and makes it happen. Not only do I look gorgeous when I leave, but he makes the experience entertaining. I always leave with my sides hurting from laughing so much from our conversations. I would recommend him as a stylist to anyone and everyone! more

Anne is the BEST! 3/5/2011

Anne is the best, most amazing, hair stylest I have EVER had! I use to hate my kinky, curly hair but she does a straitening perm on me twice a year and nobody can believe I ever had course, curly hair. It's smooth and shiny now! I have never had someone cut my hair as well as she does either. On top of that, she listens and really cares about doing a great job. I would recommend her without hesitation!! more

I am so glad that I found Ann Burke. She is the best! She always listens to want I want in a haircut or color and she does her best to make these changes. Her many years of experience in dealing with customers makes her very knowledgeable and pleasant to get along with. She is a true asset to JCon. more

Katelynn is great! :) 3/4/2011

A couple months ago I needed a haircut before a trip and the stylist I had been using for years couldn't squeeze me in..so I figured I would try Jcon since it is right near my house. I got put with Katelynn and she was awesome! I loved the way she cut and styled my hair and I got so many compliments afterwards. Needless to say, I came back to her today and she did just as great of job as before. Very happy with the services at Jcon :) more

I am a huge fan of Kyles, She is dose waxing and had been doing my eyebrows for years now. She is always very warm, out going, and professional. She makes you feel welcome. She is highly recommended by me... stop by and see her, you will get great service and love the experience. more

I've been going to JCon for years and most always great experiences. When I showed up today there was a problem because they didn't have me on the books at the time they gave me over the phone. Jan squeezed me in even though her day was already hectic and she was the consummate professional as always. She is a dear woman and always treats me as if I'm her only customer. more

Sarah is my favorite! 3/3/2011

I had heard about Shellac but was hesitant and really didn't know what Shellac was? I went to J. Con and met Sarah. She is the best nail technician I have ever met. She is so funny and nice and really makes you feel comfortable. She is my new nail person for nails and toenails!!! If you want to get your nails done at a great price and meet a new friend- go see Sarah at J. Con Salon. more

BEST COLORIST IN THE AREA IS JANET! 3/2/2011

I have lived in Tierra Verde and St. Petersburg now for over 28 years. I have tried about everyone for Color, and particularly, High & Low Lights. Believe me, This girl (woman) is the best for color anywhere South of Ulmerton Rd. Yes, price does matter & J-CON is on the expensive side, but, if you want to ALWAYS be THRILLED with your COLOR, you MUST ask for the BEST COLORIST in town, and that is JANET. Think of it this way, Color is like an expensive pair of shoes...sutle, but always noticed & appreciated! more

My best friend two years ago got me a gift certificate to get my hair cut and styled by Steve. I have been going to him every month from that point on. He is a great stylist who always listens and puts input into your decision if asked. He tries his best until you are satisfied. He is a terrific person also and worth his weight in gold as an employee. I would highly recommend him and the Salon to any one who would ask. more

J-CON Signiture Service: TRICK A CUSTOMER to come back 1/20/2011

I called in TWICE to check the remaining balance on the gift card. (each time telling them the card number 2 times) They told me "SURE you have plenty left on your card come on by". Okay, then I made an appointment. (otherwise I would never be afford to spend the outrageous price for 1.5 - hour massage!!) After the massage, they told me I OWED $140.00 because there was nothing left on the gift card that I confirmed the balance TWICE. Talked to a Manager: Shannon Fitzmeyer had to be the most IMPOLITE Manager. She said and I quote: "We usually recommend people to call their lawyers" Good idea as this has to be illegal and yes I am seeking counsel over this. The owner Joe Connell should be ashamed. more

Won't go back..... 3/15/2010

I can't believe that they charge that much for service and you don't get ablow dry! REALLY???? Are you kidding me??? I had to leave with a WET HEAD because the person that I had scheduled m appointment with didn’t ask me if I wanted a blow dry...of course for an extra cost! Marisa, the stylist, is great but I WON'T be back! If the owner/mgt wants to treat their "valued" customers that way then they don't deserve my business. Pros: Marisa Cons: Salon more

Love it! 8/12/2009

I had my hair done elsewhere, and wanted to change it. I went to Jamie, a master stylist, and showed her what I wanted. I went into great detail and asked her tons of questions. She was very patient, then gave me what I wanted! She was extremely nice and I felt comfortable with her. I'll be returning! Pros: Very friendly and did exactly what I asked Cons: Pricey more

It should actually get a -1 4/2/2009

I specifically said no layers, don't cut side swept bangs shorter just blend them in I'm growing them out, long soft TAPERING around the face for a smooth appearance, what did I get? Layers, thinning out with shears, bangs cut shorter and two inches off the length, a huge fuzz ball of hair! It resembles a long "Rachel" cut from Jennifer Aniston's Friends days! Are you kidding me? For $135.00? And now I have to drive to Tampa to try to get the damage reversed. NEVER GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!! RIP OFF!!! Pros: Good manicures, massages Cons: Worst hair cut ever!! more

I HIGHLY recommend Katie. This quiet little woman really knows how to cut some hair. I lived in st. pete for years and then moved up to Michigan. I tried other places up here, but Katie is literally the best stylist I've ever been to and there is no substitution. Joe the owner is a wonderful man and Sherry behind the counter is always so friendly and welcoming. I'm so sad to hear other people have not had the same experience. I've been going here for 7 years and now pay big bucks when you include my airfare to go here. GO SEE KATIE!! You will not regret it. Pros: up to the date style, fab haircuts and great color Cons: it's expensive but worth it more

Happy Client of JCon 8/23/2008

I have read many of the reviews and found them inaccurate. I have been a client of JCon for many years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. My hairstylist for the past year has been Emily, she's absolutely amazing!!! Not only is she great but management is also considerate and professional. I have also had pedicures with Wanda and she too is exceptional. So whoever wrote those comments before me must have been completely unstable and unrealistic in their expectations. Just because you may hate your life, don't take it out on innocent people. Bye!!!!! more
