The best eyebrow wax 3/21/2008

One word, Belinda! I used to go to Gene Juerez but someone told me about Belinda and I cannot recommend her enough. She is so fast but always spends lots of time getting to know you. My eyebrows always look amazing, classy and very well-groomed. Belinda is the master waxer!!!! She has a reward program for return customers and I will return again and again! more

Reasonably priced, great results and Aveda products 10/27/2006

I just got back from my first visit to Etherea Salon and I am very pleased. I have been going to 7 (the downtown location) for my past 3 haircuts, but decided to try something new. I'm not really a risk-taker when it comes to my hair, but I got an offer I couldn't refuse: free haircut with color. So I took them up on it and I am very glad I did. The receptionist hooked me up with Caela (pronounced Kay-la) and she did a great job with my cut (I was too nervous to go for color too). She only took about an inch off my hair, which was her suggestion and I thought that was very interesting. Most stylists want to cut at least 4 inches when I come in. She added lots of layers and made my hair look 100% better without cutting it all off, which shows talent. The salon itself was nice, although it is undergoing some needed remodeling. Best of all, it is an Aveda salon, which I feel are some of the best haircare products available. This salon doesn't have the hype of some others in town, but you save $$$ due to their reasonable pricing and don't sacrifice much in doing that. There was a quick mix-up when I was at the register (it seems the receptionist I spoke with on the phone didn't make a note that I was getting a free cut) but the guy up front was quick to get everything settled without making me feel weird. I find it hard to believe the negative review posted on this site, because the customer service I received was top-notch. Bottom line: I'll still go to 7 maybe once or twice a year, but for maintenance and a basic cut that is not so basic, Caela at Etherea has definitely earned my business. more

Heavenly! 6/13/2006

When I saw that they were an Aveda Salon I new I would get good service but these folks went way above and beyond my expectations. They had me at the stress relieving scalp massage and I left walking on new feet after the best pedicure in my life. Thanks to everyone from Etherea I felt Heavenly! It happens to be their mission and I would say they accomplished it. more

The worst service of my life! 11/9/2005

This was the worst color I have ever had in my life. It took 5 applications of bleach and a burnt scalp, hurt neck and fried hair to make me say something to the owner. I payed for my service during this service because it took 6 hours and the store was closing. When I spoke to the owner the next day he did not seem to care. I later find out most of his people at the salon have very little experience. This is the worst salon in Seattle. more

Downtown Aveda Salon 8/19/2005

This is a great place for getting ready for a special occasion. They do excellent make-up and help you avoid that caked on look so that you really shine through. The haircuts are great as well and the stylists really listen to you. It is possible to find street parking, but arrive early. more
