I am glad that azhomeowner had a great experience with Dr. Wright, but unfortunately my experience last week aligns more with JulieGphx. I went to her for guidance about HRT, and ...

a true solution 4/19/2011

I'd like to express my appreciation for the knowledge and understanding of my physical ailments. As I have been suffering from chronic back pain for most of my life. Dr. Wright worked with my trigger points and other areas. Today I can walk much better now and bend over and stretch. All the medicine I used to take never really helped without increasing the dose or feeling side effects. I really like her approach it makes sense to me and it works too. more

Happy Patient 3/14/2011

I recently met with Dr Wright after suffering with a number of menopausal symptoms. After my first visit she cleared a couple of my symptoms right away. I like how she gives her opinion and then substantiates it with research. She has given me good advise and has the clinical research to back it up. I appreciate that she takes the time to validate for me what she already knows. I'm looking forward to a menopausal symptom free life thanks to Dr. Wright\r \r \r \r more

Disappointed patient 1/11/2011

I am glad that azhomeowner had a great experience with Dr. Wright, but unfortunately my experience last week aligns more with JulieGphx. I went to her for guidance about HRT, and immediately following our introduction, she displayed a callous attitude towards her profession and her colleagues. I was willing to overlook her lack of bed-side manners, but when she had to refer to her books and sticky notes for answers to my questions e.g. most effective HRT application methods - I was disappointed for spending the time in her office. I value the opinions of those that leave a review and felt strong enough in my belief to create an account to ensure everyone understands all doctors have their good and bad days, but I will not give Dr.Wright the opportunity to waste my time again. more

Dr Wright is GREAT!!! 8/24/2010

I have been to Dr. Wright several times. I just ran into this review by another patient and wanted to say that she is a wonderful doctor. I have gone to her myself and actually have sent over to her about 6 referrals because I know she only takes on patients she can actually help. Reading the above negative review my first thought was don't you wish all doctors did that? I know if I went to a doctor and they thought my care would be better handled by a specific specialist I would say...WOW thanks for thinking of my health more than wealth. Also she did not charge you for your appointment. What doctor do you know does that? In any case I wanted you to know that Dr. Wright is very sweet and a wonderful caring doctor. I am sorry that you did not fit with her... but I don't think she deserves to have a bad review ... I even take my 3 year old to her. Other doctors commented you were on a high dose.... sounds like dr wright confirned this for you... please check into that... I also have a thyroid problem she treats me for.... more

Negative Review June doctors appointment 7/9/2010

I thought her website was good and just what I was looking for. An integrative md who was experienced with biodentical hormones and low thryoid. I have been treated by two other integrative mds for those 2 things. \r I had filled out the intial patient forms, which were quite detailed. When we first met, she told me that she wanted to get a ""feel"" on when my symptoms had started, what were symptoms, how the symptoms had changed and what I had taken and how I had felt while I was taking those medications. \r She started on the thyroid medication, which she looked up in a book. She told me that my dosage was extremely high. I've been told that before. She talked about doing another blood test to determine my current levels. I asked if she used body temperatures to determine thryoid levels. I have had 1 integrative md who did that and did not take blood tests. Her response was extremely sharp, change in tone and said that she just explained how she determined what my thryoid level would be. She obviously did not like that question and was obviously bothered by it. I was shocked by her reaction and change in deamoner. She had not said the only way I determine thryoid levels is by a blood test. Right then I had decided that I didn't want to have her as my doctor. She went on to ask about the biodenticals which we discussed for a while. We went into her examining room, where she did several things. During this time she again got very short and raised her tone when testing my reflexes. Again I was shocked. Why are you so upset, which was what I was thinking? At this point I'm thinking I should of just gotten up when she was intially became short, said this was not what I was looking for and walked out. However, I went back into her office. She said that she wouldn't be able to treat me. That she had never heard of my thryoid medication, which is C-Liothyronine(T3) a compounded prescription, 2 integrative mds had prescribed that to me in the last 2 years. She also did not know how to determine what dosage I should take, since I had been decreasing the dosage because I was running out of the prescription, The third reason was that I had a weak reflexes. She gave me a name of a thryoid doctor who would know how to measure what I should be taking. \r I went to wait in line to pay my bill, She was standing close by talking to another patient. She came up to me and said she wasn't going to charge me for the office visit, I could leave and that should make both of us happy. I thanked her and couldn't get out of there fast enough.\r \r Was she upset because she didn't know my thyroid medication and what to do with weak reflexes? I don't know. Still that is no excuse for her behavior. Never during the course of this intial office visit did she apologize to me. Enter at your own risk!!!!!\r \r Pros: Integrative doctor Good website Cons: Didn't like me asking questions, Didn't know thryoid meds. more
