There is NO smoking area on the zoo grounds, so, if you are a smoker, unless you want to walk half a mile or more to have a cigarette, the zoo is not the place for you. (In case ...

We took our 2 year old here and she loved it! The prices were reasonable. We rented the little push cart jeep thing and it worked out great. I forgot to bring a hat but the gift shop is right at the front with everything that you need. We loved it. Pros: animals seemed much happier then the ones in LA Cons: I would have liked a map more

I love taking my family to the Denver Zoo. It is a great place to go have fun, and still learn! We actually did a membership this year. I am hoping that with the way economy is this will be an inexpensive outing on a weekly basis. Plus you can always have a picnic right in the middle of the zoo!!!! more

this is a wonderful zoo! such a large selection of animals, the kids can run around for hours and learn so much! any time we go it is a wonderful day. plus it's reasonable! more

Love going to the zoo! Only about $15 and it provides hours of entertainment. The polar bears and penguins are a personal favorite. more

We always buy the zoo pass and it pays for itself in 2 visit's. My kids love going! We just pack a lunch and take the whole day to play and explore! This is a summer must for our whole family, plus you get 2 free tickets to bring guests along :) more

I love the Denver Zoo, we became a member this year. My daughter is l2 and my son is 31/2 we have so much time each time we go. It is a different adventure each time. Not knowing what animal is up. more

I love the Denver Zoo. I grew up here and have seen the growth and new facilities the zoo has put in over time. Everything in the zoo is very accessible and easy to get around. It's really hard to find parking on a warm weekend day, but other times of the year it's not too bad. Also, if you get there before opening you can usually park very close. Make sure you bring your own food, the zoo food is very expensive. more

It's a nice place for families to visit, kids really enjoy it but I really wish they had more interactive exhibits. Most of the exhibits are just for viewing purposes. While there are plaques with a snippet of info, it's not as educational or informative, or as fun as it could be. Forget about going there during the end of May though. School groups make it impossible to find parking more

The Denver Zoo is really great -- from the diversity of animals to the various shows/feedings to the special programs. It is definitely worth joining as a member if you go more than once. The food is also surprisingly good. more

They have lots to look at. We never make it around the entire zoo in one day. We like to go on their free days but be sure to get there early because parking can become a nightmare. more

We have been to several zoos in other states and this is definitely the most kid friendly. It is enormous and houses about every animal you could ever think of. You can purchase a family membership from the website for only $70 and it is definitely worth it. There is also a train and a carousel. The carousel costs $1.50, but if your children are under age 3 or shorter than 42 inches they ride for free with an adult so you only have to buy one ticket. more
