Best

We took our 2 year old here and she loved it! The prices were reasonable. We rented the little push cart jeep thing and it worked out great. I forgot to bring a hat but the gift s...

There is NO smoking area on the zoo grounds, so, if you are a smoker, unless you want to walk half a mile or more to have a cigarette, the zoo is not the place for you. (In case ...

A very nice zoo with a few extras like a merry-go-round and a small train. more

They have free days for the kids year round. The food is a bit expensive and it seems half the exhibits are closed most of the time. But, it still ends up being a cheap and fun event for everyone. more

Always a good time, don't expect to see it all if the kids are young. Pace yourself and go back on a free day. more

It's the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful day and the animals. Our membership was well worth it. more

Get a family membership if you plan to go more than a couple of times a year. And you should - it is great to be able to just go for a couple of hours at a time, explore just a specific area, and not worry about getting everything in in one day while your kids get tired and antsy. It's a shame that the railway and the carousel close down in the winter. We really like to go to the zoo on nice days in the winter and fall when there seem to be less people but then we can't enjoy the rides, as well as access the more remote refreshment stands. more

This is definitely not the Denver Zoo that I grew up with! The park has gone under extensive remodel in the last few years. There is a new parking garage, entrance, exhibits and new layout. This is an all day adventure if you want to see everything and even then you may have to come back for special exhibits. We had so much fun and my son loved the Tropical Discovery! If you love to see animals this is a great day trip to get some other moms/dads together and enjoy some fresh air! more

A Denver Zoo membership is worth every penny... We can go at least once a week in the summer, and often in the other seasons as well. Open all the time, with fun activities for kids and a kid-friendly environment. more

Josie and I have enjoyed going to the zoo since she was a tiny baby. I received a membership as a gift when she was small, and it was a great place to go with 'mom friends' for a walk with the little ones, and as she's gotten older it's a lot of fun to take her to see the baby animals, elephants, monkeys, etc. The 'aquarium' exhibit is particularly fun in the winter, walking into a tropical paridise when it's freezing outside. Purchasing a membership is a must for moms with little ones who can only take an hour or two at a time. With a single membership, a mom can bring an adult guest/spouse, and the kid's are free. Oh, and bring a picnic, since there are a lot of fun places and grassy areas to enjoy a meal. more

We love the Denver zoo! The memberships pay for themselves in a few visits. The new Lion exhibit is great - toddlers can see the animals while sitting in a stroller without need for parents to constantly lift up. more
