We took our 2 year old here and she loved it! The prices were reasonable. We rented the little push cart jeep thing and it worked out great. I forgot to bring a hat but the gift s...

There is NO smoking area on the zoo grounds, so, if you are a smoker, unless you want to walk half a mile or more to have a cigarette, the zoo is not the place for you. (In case ...

We have an annual membership to the zoo (reasonably priced) so we can go anytime we want to. It's a great place to take the kids on a warm day, to get some walking in and to teach the kids about the animals. This is one of our favorite things to do! more

A little expensive if you don't have a zoo pass, but if you do, it is a great deal. It is also not very entertaining for younger kids, but it is fun to walk around and enjoy the weather. It is great for older babies and toddlers, especially if they are learning their animals and animals sounds!! As zoos go, this zoo has a great variety of animals, and their aquarium area is beautiful! more

The Zoo was a really neat experience!! The only suggestion that I have is to pack your own lunch because the snack bar is not very good and pretty pricey. I also think that you may want to call the zoo to fimd out the peak time that the animals are out. It seems like every time that we have been there the animals were sleeping or pt away. more

The best gift we've yet received was a zoo membership. We started going for the exercise when Josie was just a few months old, and now (at two years) she heads straight for her favorite areas. Their new 'Predator Ridge' area is an awesome place to view lions and hyenas, and has a lot of good info about the animals. Having a membership makes the short visits kids prefer very economical, since we can just go for a picnic lunch and a few exhibits without feeling like we've paid a lot. more

The upgrades that duplicate the natural environments that the animals live in are wonderful. So are the learning tools that are available. Free days are a great opportunity for everyone to experience this and there is bargain food offered on those days too. The train and carousel are also very affordable. more

Despite the weirdness of caged animals, they have alot to offer and I can see how it's enjoyable for children more

If you live anywhere remotely close, buy a membership. It makes a great short visit - take your toddler for an hour once a month and take advantage of the great grounds, wonderful docents and advance access to camps and overnights. more
