When I arrived to Cobble Hill service station, I dealt with Tony, I was worried that a lot of work would be needed on my car. Tony ashured me that only what needed to be done would be done and thats it. My car was back on the road in a matter of hours and it worked better that it did before. I would reccomend that shop to everyone, and I wil lmake sure to go back just because of Tony. Pros: Excellent, fast and quality service more

Went there a few years ago through AAA. Been going there ever since and have never had an issue with\r the people there. I have recommended the place to friends and they were pleased as well. This place is\r always packed with cars. They do an enormous amount of business. There is no way that they're corupt.\r I like they're service and will continue to do business there. more

My 1998 Nissan Maxima brokedown on Atlantic Avenue, when I called AAA Cobble Hill service station showed up and towed me to their station. Not only was the work done promptly, the price was more than fair and my car was as good as new within a matter of hours. Everyone there was very helpful. In fact after that experience, I now drive 35 minutes out of my way just to go to Cobble Hill Service Station, even if only for an oil change. I highly reccomed them and would suggest that everyone use them. Pros: Convenient Location, Reliable Work, Fair prices more

Our car had a dead battery and got towed to this place via AAA. Since it was late at night, we didn't read all the reviews on the website before agreeing to drop off the car there. We asked explicitly to *only replace the battery* for $120 parts+labor.\r \r Next day the mechanic called us with a laundry list of things which don't work (belts, ignition, etc.) and said it will cost $600+ to fix it. When we asked to just replace the battery, they said no, and said if you want your car back pay $65 diagnostic fee which we didn't agree to.\r \r The people in the station were rude and non-helpful. We will be filing a complaint with the state against this company.\r \r SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND DO NOT GO THERE !!! I brought my car in for an inspection. I received a call from one of the ""mechanics"" telling me that I need to replace all 4 struts, the coolant, Oil change, 1 tire and wiper blades. I told him I would pick up the car and get it done. I used to be a mechanic and I can take care of most of it. The ""mechanic"" then back peddled and said all I need to pass inspection was a new tire and wiper blades. Now I was sure this was a scam. I went to pick up the car. I agree the tire was worn. My wiper blades were replaced 3 months ago and I had no problem with them. You are at their mercy at this point because the inspection forms have already been submitted to the DMV. I paid them for the inspection (37.00) and asked how much the re-inspection would cost. He said 10 or 15 dollars. I went and got 2 new tires for the price they were going to charge for 1($200) and replaced the wiper blades. I then went back for the re-inspection. They refused to do the re-inspection. They said they only do inspections in the morning. ( This was a lie!! A woman came in while I was there picking up my car at 2:30 that asked for an inspection on the spot. They said OK to her?) They said the owner would be back in an hour and I would have to talk to him. I didn't wait. My wife couldn't start our car the other day, with two kids in two and with a lot on her mind, she called AAA for a jump. Cobble Hill Super Service showed up 45 minutes late and told her it wasn't the battery, it was an electrical problem. They recommended that she have them two the car to their shop. An hour later they called me: bad battery, bad alternator, and oh yeah, bad rear brakes and leaking struts. I was dubious and I refused service and asked my Honda dealership to tow the car away. I still had to pay $70 for a diagnostic fee. The Honda dealership called me: my son had left the dome light on, draining the battery, it just needed to be recharged. And the alternator? Oh, the dealership told me it was fine, it was just a LOOSE WIRE. They wanted $600 parts/labor for a new one. LIARS. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. TONY IS THE OWNER AND IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER, REPUTABLE SHOPS. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE OTHERS BUT I HAVE BEEN GOING TO TONY FOR OVER 5 YEARS NOW AND HE HAS FAST RELIABLE SERVICE AND IS ALWAYS NOTHING BUT COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. I HAD MY BRAKES ALONG WITH SHOCKS AND STRUTS REPLACED AND FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH THE WORK WAS DONE WITHIN THE DAY AND I HAVENT HAD ANY DIFFICULTIES. HE CHARGES A FAIR AND COMPETITIVE PRICE FOR HIS WORK. I WOULDN'T USE A SERVICE STATION FOR ALL THIS TIME UNLESS THEY WERE GOOD AT DIAGNOSING PROBLEMS AND THE SERVICE HAD GOOD TURN AROUND TIME. Tony is a PSYCHO MEAN, UNPROFESSIONAL scammer!!! EVERYTHING THAT EVERYONE SAID ABOVE IS SOOO TRUE! THIS GUY RIPPED ME FOR $800 TO REPLACE A STARTER AND A SEAL THEN TOLD ME THE CAR WAS 'UNDRIVEABLE' ANYWAY, THAT I NEEDED TO PAY HIM ANOTHER $1500 TO MAKE MY CAR SAFE! WHAT THE ****? ALL I NEEDED WAS A STARTER! WHEN I QUESTIONED HIM, HE GOT VERY UPSET AND THE NEXT DAY I PICKED UP MY CAR AND THE ENGINE COMPLETELY BLEW!!!! MY CURRENT MECHANIC TOLD ME THE CAR HAD ZERO FLUIDS IN IT AND SUPPOSEDLY 'TONY' TOPPED OFF ALL FLUIDS! Tony! F**** Tony! That's the manager of this place. AAA towed me to this guy and he basically held my car hostage. He put in a crappy part, way over charged me that was on 3/31. Guess what? It?s now 5/18 {that would be a month and a half, Tony} the crappy part died and I had to have my mechanic (a very good one) in LI fixed it. It cost me $150 less than the Cobble Hill Service station did. I have Tony's crappy part sitting in my car waiting for him. I've called AAA and told them to take this station off the list. Was conned by this guy during inspection. Claimed a bunch of repairs were required to pass inspection. Found out after reading inspection report closely that almost none were required. He charged me for $1,300 worth of repairs when only $60 worth were needed! Kicked me out of his office when I confronted him about it. The manager of this service station is not only appallingly rude, he lies and steals. We brought our car in for a simple annual state inspection, only to realize (on the day of expiration) that the car had failed the test. No one bothered to notify us, much less recommend a repair so that the car could pass. Of course, we were charged the full rate. When I stopped by the shop to ask why, and what could be done, the manager told me I had an attitude, that he couldn't help me, and that he didn't care if he lost my business. My car battery died and a jump didn't work. I had my car towed to this place because I had no choice on a weekend. They quoted me for $500 for a new alternator and a new battery. After some research online - I saw that other people had a lot of trouble with this place so I decided to take my car to my usual mechanic who told me the car was FINE and the battery just needed to be charged.
