They were late showing up to give me the first estimate. then would not return any of my phone calls for days. I was forced to use them because no one else could come out when i needed them in such short notice. When i finally got them to schedule the appointment they were 2.5 hrs. late! Have used them several times. Generally they are punctual, but when there is an issue, such as what is under warranty or not under warranty, I found them to be completely inflexible. In my opinion, I have found them to be a little more expensive than other services and their bid process is wildly erratic. We are long time repeat customers of Clarke Kent Plumbing. Have mistakes ever been made, estimates off a bit, or interactions with a particular individual less than what I'd desire? Over the years, we have likely experienced each one of these and perhaps one I don't recall. However, for each of these, I have seven to ten positive to great experiences, and so I recommend them to everyone. I understand that businesses don't always grow smoothly, or that sometimes an individual is hired who turns out to be a different caliber of technician or communicator than was evaluated during the hiring process. more

I was a given a 2 to 4 hour window for the technician to arrive. After 4 hours, I called a second time only to be told they didn't have a record of my first call. The technician finally showed up 5 hours after the initial call. The quote on the phone for a drain cleaning was $30 service call, $23 for each 15 minutes, with a minimum of 30 minutes ($76 minimum). When the technician arrived on-site, he originally told me it would be $160 plus $23 for each 15 minutes, then dropped it to $130 then dropped it again to $112.50. When I challenged his quote, he told me I must have been mistaken or given an incorrect quote over the phone. This sounds like a bait and switch to me! Keeping me waiting all day (on a Friday) so that if I didn't use their service, I would have to pay weekend or after hour rates. more

The plumber who came out was on time, did his job efficiently, and showed me some things on my house! A great experience!! more
