AWFUL EXPERIENCE, WILL NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN.had a gas line that needed to be disconnected in my yard, my contractor had hit a phantom gas line that no one knew about so the city had to turn my gas off. Clark Kent sent over a plumber, he was very young and I had my doubts about his experience because he seem pretty lost when he was looking for where the line was connected under the house and had to keep calling his boss . He finally found it after about an hour but then he Insisted I had a ""gas leak"" under my house, could not find it and he went and called his boss, came back and said even if he did find it there would probably be more leaks later since the pipes were so old and that I should just go ahead and replace all the gas lines. I said no, he went and called his boss again came back and then he said I can keep looking for the leak but it could cost as much as replacing the pipes, when I asked how much he said $2900.00. I said no again and then after calling his boss again, said then we cannot help you! Told me unless I spend $2900.00 to replace all my gas lines, they would not help me! I asked them to leave, called a plumber that had 30 years experience. He came over, walked thru my house to make sure all the gas connections for the gas water heater, stove and dryer had been turned off by the Clarke Kent plumber and found the dryer connection was still on and said that is most likely what is causing the meter to show a ""leak"". We went outside hooked up the devise to test the gas meter and it was holding and there was no more leak! My ""Leak"" was found in 3 minutes after the experienced plumber came over!\r \r I called the office to complain and I spoke to the a woman that basically did not seem to concerned, told me ""everyone makes mistakes!"" and she would have to talk to the plumber that came by to get his side of the story! NO apology and no return phone call. more

We have had consistent, positive results in our experience with Clarke Kent Plumbing and especially with their plumber, Joe! We just celebrated 8 years in business as a health club and have had multiple plumbing issues as our building is aging. We get same day service most of the time (always when it's urgent). The plumbers are professional and polite. Joe has gone above and beyond to help us trouble shoot some particularly challenging situations, follows up as promised and they all consistently treat us with integrity and respect. more

I had a major water line break in my front yard this week. I noticed it while putting out the trash one night, so I immediately shut the water off to the house and called Clarke Kent Plumbing that night. I spoke to a message service (it was after hours). They relayed my message, and I was promptly called back that night. I asked for and was given an early appointment the next morning. Rob showed up right on time. He did a fantastic job of communicating my options/prices and then quickly pinpointing the leak and fixing it. I was really impressed by the great customer service. I felt like the price was fair. Rob said, ""We aren't the cheapest or most expensive, but we do good work and we stand behind it."" I believe him. Thanks for doing a great job! more

I have used Clarke Kent Plumbing for many years and have always found them to be helpful, prompt and reasonably priced. Today was no exception.\r \r They accommodated a last minute request to change my appointment from morning to afternoon. The plumber arrived on time and quickly fixed my plumbing issue. He removed his shoes at the door to prevent bring mud into the house and answered all my questions.\r \r As always, Clarke Kent Plumbing has proved to be a shining example of great service and customer care. Great job! more

Summery: Really nice guys, do good work, fair and moral, care about customer concerns, charge a lot though. 5-star's for the friendly service.\r \r He started by saying there was a $125 minimum to look at it, when he did the water-heater had fixed itself I guess. He then spent a while slowly double checking everything and cleaning whatever he could. He also called the mfg for 15min but they had no suggestions. Nice enough guy, but I guess he ended up charging me $175 for the almost 1-hour he spent there. I called and complained and got a really nice guy on the phone. He said it was a fair price, that the $125 was only for 30min and the extra time cost $50 more. I told him I still didn't really think seemed like a fair price to me since my emergency was solved after 5 min and I did not expect him to charge me more then the already high minimum he had quoted. He said he would see what he can do, and then called me the next day saying they would refund the extra $50.\r \r Thank you! more

My water heater was not working and I called the warranty that referred me to Clarke Kent plumbing.\r I called and was informed they'd be there in 30 minutes.\r They were very punctual, very nice and professional.\r There was a part that needed to be replaced and they went and got it and fixed the water heater. It was $180 and I paid cash $200 they said they'd mail me the change. Two days later I got it in the mail.\r I know nothing about water heaters but I felt they were honest about the pricing.\r \r \r P.S. The work that had been done previously was terrible and they said it was due to their poor work that my water heater was at risk of catching on fire. However they did not criticize the other technician for it.\r I respect that especially because some people tend to blame others to make themselves look good and these guys didn't need to do that.\r One of the reasons I recommend these professionals! more

Allan arrived within the promised time span and gave us a heads up before arriving. He was personable, polite and very efficient. We were impressed by his assertiveness with the company that warrantied our faucet as they were pushing back hard to not replace the entire part, but ended up doing so. We really thought Allan did a great job! more

Clarke Kent Plumbing sent an extremely nice, respectful, and honest young man to fix my toilets, tubs, and drains. He always told me how much each procedure was going to cost and even gave me recommendations to save me money (which ended up taking business away from his company)! These guys know what they're doing. Fast and honest plumbing services! Will definitely call again! more

I have used this company for many years and they have always provided prompt and excellent service. This week, I had a problem with my water heater. The plumber arrived exactly when predicted and was very pleasant and professional. He volunteered that my parts warranty was still in effect. As it turned out, my problem was very simple to fix and he fixed it without charging me. Very much appreciated. more

Thanks so much to Robert from Clarke Kent Plumbing for clearing out a main stoppage clog in my old 1950's house. I was so impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and helpfulness. Robert came out on 3 different occasions (within an 18 hour time period- on a weekend, I might add) to help me unclog my main sewage line. He walked me through the different options, problem solved, and kept prices to a minimum. He also didn't mind me being by his side so that I could understand the process. Robert worked very efficiently, communicated with me through the entire process, and came at the time he said he would. I would recommend Clarke Kent Plumbing to all of my friends and plan on using them to replace my main sewage line in the next year or so. more
