Worst

I used this service once before, I'm now recalling them back for the second time for a job that seems to happening again. This seems like a nightmare to me I have been HOT all day...

We called and left a message at night concerning a possible plumbing issue. We stated that it could wait until the next day and to please call us back. Church Services had someone on-site by 9AM the following morning. Troy B. located the problem with the hot water heater and successfully repaired not only the stated problem but also a problem with the additional hot water heater that was in our attic (he proactively looked and found the same issue that prevented further problems). He was very professional and we were very pleased with the service. more

The plumber was called out to condos to check leak in downstairs unit. My son's condo is upstairs. Plumber came into his condo twice and said everything looked good, Later I get a bill for 186.75... 10/8/2012

The condo downstairs had a water leak from the ceiling in the bathroom and the owners contacted the property manager. Church Services sent a plumber out who had no clue what he was doing. He entered my son's condo (upstairs unit) on two separate occasions and told me everything looked good. I left and went to the mailbox and my neighbor saw me and said the plumber was banging on my door. When I returned, I noticed the plumber had removed a small section of my grout and left it laying on the shelf. Later I get a bill and note from property manager saying the leak was due to me taking showers and bad tile. Get this, I have only lived in condo since May 15th with no complaints of a leak and because this is temporary, I don't have a shower curtain and only take baths. The plumber charged $83/hr for 2.5 hours when he put his arrival time as 3 pm and departure time is 4:30 so that is an extra $83--absolutely crazy. Property Manager did not even notice or just didn't care since they were going to try and make me pay. Then property manager gave neighbors my email address and she has been threatening me about fixing the hole that Church Services plumber made. I am hiring my own plumber with experience who knows what they are doing and I am sure it will not take 1.5 hrs to come to the conclusion that the "tile is supposedly bad." more

Came out to do annaul check on A/C & Furnace. Units just replace 2 yrs. ago. what should have been standard $65 check-up and clean, they said $1,400 to clean coils, drain line, replace flame sensor (which only needed to be cleaned, new one cost $12 they wanted $210, don't know why a drain line needed to be insulated for $250,($14 at home depot), and rework vent pipe $350.and new fan blade for out side, "because it looked dirty". Told the guy to get out of my house and went back to a professonal group, $72 and he even re-set auto thermastat for optimal use for free. more

Foundation Repair 7/5/2012

Wow, we have survived our Foundation Repair! Having said that, I am sure it was because of the crew that Church Services sent to do it. The foreman on the job and his men showed up everyday and worked very hard, only stopping for a lunch break. At the end of every work day, the holes were covered, all dirt was covered with tarps and everything hosed down and cleaned. Your engineer kept us informed as what we could expect every step of the way so as not to have any surprises. I would not want to have to do this again, BUT, if I did I would certainly have Church Services to the job. Thanks a bunch! more

Had them come out to give a quote on fixing my AC. The guy spent maybe 15 minutes lookign at it and told us it would be $3600 to fix our AC. Had another AC company out they fixed it for $600 6/15/2012

Church told us we need a new evaporator coil and was charging $80 a pound for freon. The tech told us we were better off buying a whole new system. He then booked a sales guy to come out. Had another AC company come out and they fixed it for $600. The company I went with found a leak in the freon line that just needed to be welded again and only charge $30 a pound for freon. Called and spoke with a manager to get my service call fee refunded. He did not even aplogize. He just asked me for my address and told me he would mail it. I will never do business with them or recommend them to anyone. more

Our AC went out on a friday.I called a large company close to us in Jersey Village.The tech came by Sat. morning and told me I needed a new AC system.Cost would be $6700 but because I was a senior would be $6300.I decided to call Church Services becaues I had seen them in the area.Frank Burrier came by Sat. about 3 PM.He said let me look at it because it sounds like you may not need a new system.But he also said a new system would be $5200.(The same system the others wanted $6300 for) After looking at it and cleaning out the dead leaves,we called one of their techs.He came at 8pm on a sat.night.Brook Boswell fixed it in about an hour.Total cost $316.When I do need a new system I will sure call Church Services. charging when Ac Unit still under warranty 5/18/2012

the problem was that Church Services was going to rip me off $932. I ask them to verify the warranty on AC Unit that was less than 5 years old.I was told the warranty had expired. So As I was waitng for the tech to receive the part that had to be delivered to him. I decided to check the warranty myself and the AC was infact still under warranty. Had I not checked it myself Church Services was going to charge me $932. So no matter what quality work they may do they are out to rip customers off. more

Don't use for inspections 4/30/2012

My husband and I are purchasing a home in Houston and hired Church Services to perform a hydrostatic plumbing inspection. The inspection was performed on a Friday and at the inspection the inspector provided a poor carbon copy of the services performed that was not legible. He said that a report would be provided the following Monday. Follow up phone calls to the company on Monday by us and our real estate agent trying to determine the status of the report revealed that the company had no intent of providing a report and the carbon copy was the extent of the reporting plans. They also had no record of exactly what services had been provided and had no record of payment for services and we had to explain the services provided and prove that the payment was actually made. Following multiple calls, explanations of services and payment, and finally the support of our agent we were able to get the attached report. The inspection revealed 3 leaks, which the sellers had checked out by their plumber following our explanation to the sellers of what the leaks were (as there was no documentation from Church Services explaining the leak locations or "systems"). The seller's plumber told us that Church Services actually overcharged for the number of plumbing systems inspected. We payed for inspection of 4 of the 5 plumbing systems found by the inspector and according to the sellers plumber two of the 4 were actually a single system. Not trying to sell you something you don't need! 4/20/2012

I have already recommended Church Services! They are always on time and answer the phone twenty-four hours a day. You never have to wait very long, even if it's not an emergency. Ever since we've used them, they've seemed to know what they're doing. They're not sales people, as in they're not trying to sell you something you don't need. I've been using Church Services for three years. They know what they're doing, and they're not trying to sell you something you don't need! more

Excellent pest control company 4/12/2012

I would highly recommend this company. They were on time if not early, did the work efficiently and have come back three times to check in the attic for rodents having found two dead rats. Great Service 4/5/2012

We called Church Services to come out and look for a line in our yard. The first repairman did not find anything and thought it was the sprinkler system. After the sprinkler repairman said that there was no issue with the sprinklers, we called Church Services back again and this time they sent out an expert with 35 years named James. James spent almost 4 hours in his detection and repair of the leak which was a pin sized hole in the copper leading into the house. He worked in a very wet area of the yard with a lot of mosquitoes swarming around. He did all of this work on the Thursday night before Good Friday and stayed late to get it done. We have a 3200 square foot, single story home with foundation issues. Church Services was contacted by our builder to correct the problem. JR Hernandez-Mesa came out & surveyed the problem, presented a plan & started to work. Our home required 78 piers & extensive tunneling under the slab to bring it back into alignment. Foundation Repair: Great Experience 1/17/2012

First, our job was a large foundation repair with 85 pressed pilings throughout the home. This required significant tunneling under the living space. It was a huge job and not a pleasant one to experience as a homeowner. That said, I won't fault Church Services for the challenging nature of the job, which involves many weeks, jackhammers, enormous piles of dirt, and crews of workers every weekday. JR Hernandez was the Engineer assigned to work with us on our foundation repair. We had great communication with JR, the foreman and his crew throughout the process. I have never seen a crew like this crew that worked on our foundation repair. Everyday they show up early and work nonstop late in the evenings. I enjoyed seeing the crew so dedicated to their job. That makes you feel like your home matters to them, not just a job.They take care of every little detail from start to finish.
