Should have went somewhere else 8/26/2011

The food was below avg. I can not believe that they are in business. They have signs saying that they have brown rice, but never on the sign did it say for an addition fee. I ordered a dinner plate of sesame chicken the chicken was small, but fried rice was good. Got a side of chicken wings and they had no flavor. Asked if I could get mixed soup of egg drop and hot & sour then the manager walked over and interrupted to tell me no that they cannot mix it at all. more

Chinese food for avg folks 6/27/2011

This place was the cat's meow about 5 years ago. I have been to many chinese places in this area over the years and china wall was always above and beyond. They must have either sold the buisness or people left because its not even close to its full glory of even 3 years ago. It's a shame but I have found bo's asain around the corner that rivals some of the chinese food i had in NYC. more

I love to eat chinese food, so my friend took me to china wall last week and I got to say I can't believe I never ate there before! It was quiet, but wasn't uncomfortable quiet enviroment and the food there is one of the best places of been to. I'm going back next week! more

We have found a quality Chinese Restaurant - China Wall 4/21/2011

Hi, I'm Jan W. passing through Round Rock Texas on a tour bus of 25 people from Beijing China. We all got hungry and were lucky enough to find China Wall Restaurant by entering the Hester Crossings (#251) exit. We're on a great tour coming from Dallas heading toward Austin downtown. We had stop at China Wall Restaurant in Round Rock TX. for our lunch break. We just have to tell you that China Wall Chinese food are so delicious and really tasty comparable to our Beijing China Chinese food. We ordered many large special main entree dishes for 25 people to eat. The prices are also good and affordable. What really amazed us is that all of the entree that we ordered was professionally served in time. "So we're so hungry and spoiled". The food came out steaming hot and tasted so delicious. Our favorites were Crispy duck, General Tso chicken, Ma la duck, Sauteed Green Bean, Combo Fry Rice, Combo Lomein, Seafood Emperor, Mongolian Beef, and Steamed Tilapia fish with garlic sauce. As a child, I always wish one day I will come to the USA to get my very own opinion out to the American's public since it a free country. Oh well I can go on talking about China Wall food but I have to go now. To make a long story short, China Wall Restaurant food are quality food, tasty food, beautiful cleaned place, and the best friendly services comparing to all the places that we have been on our tour going through Texas. We're so glad that we found a great place to eat. Bye Now and we LOVE YA ALL...TEXAN! more

Check your Bill and Management is RUDE!! 7/9/2010

I was picking up food that I ordered. I was charged 48.97 for only three dishes with fried wontons and four eggs rolls. I did not pick up the order. I called back to see why it was so expensive. Frist, i was put on hold. Then when I asked the prices before taxes. I was told in a snotty manner to go to the website. I checked the prices on the website. I added everything there was no way that I got up to 48.97. I even tried for the dinners specials. I called back again. The Manager answered and put me on hold again. I had to drive down to the place. When i was still telling her that I was overcharged. She was arguing the it was correct. We finally she acted surprised when I said the amount to her. She thought I was saying $38.97. Then she was sorry about me being over charged. The only problem is that I have been a customer for 10 plus years. i could not believe that she treated me so crappy. I have no reason to lie about the pricing. She would not even help me over the phone. She said it was busy in there. That why there was a mistake. When I went to the place there was no one in there. Plus, when the food was picked up by another person it was not even busy then. Well, CHINA WALL.... YOU LOSE A CUSTOMER THAT HAD BEEN WITH YOU 10 PLUS YEARS. SHAME ON YOU!!!!! more

Great hot & sour soup. The lunch specials are about $7-8 and include an egg roll, soup, and entree which is a great deal. This is typical Panda Express fare - expect no more! more

not worth it 4/22/2009

China Wall is extremely close to our house,however in the 9yrs we have lived in Round Rock, we've been here MAYBE 5 times. The prices are about your average buffet price,however, the food is just not that great. Every time we've come, we have been extremely disappointed. more

We will not eat here again 9/1/2008

We like chinese food a lot. We have only been in the area for about a year and are still trying to find that chinese food restaurant we love. We decided to eat here because I had read good reviews. We were so disappointed. We pretty much always get the same things, regardless of where we go. In a way, this makes us kind of experts (at least for the things we like). The standard dishes that we order are General Tso's chicken, a beef dish like Szechuan), steamed dumplings, vegetable lomein, homestyle bean curd, egg drop soup, and steamed rice. The meat dishes were okay. The steamed dumplings were the worst my husband had ever had. None of the dishes really had vegetables in them except a little bit in the vegetable lomein. We spent $47 and not only didn't enjoy it, but didn't have leftovers like we would at other restaurants. I know some people seem to like this place, so don't just take our word, but we won't eat here again. Hunan ranch has been our favorite in Round Rock so far. more

Great Wall is truly GREAT. 12/12/2005

This by far the best Chinese restaurant in the Austin/Round Rock area. It's hard to find but well worth it. It' s clean with a nice fung sheui friendly atomosphere. The bathroom is a bit dated but I don't go there for the bathroom I go there for their exceptional food and over the top service. I have had them host several work parties for me and have not been let down yet. Their Manager Dana is also good at meeting any special needs. If I had to sum it up in one sentence I'd say, "China Wall is a 5 star restaurant without the 5 star price". Pros: CLEAN, Inexpensive, Excellent Food Cons: No Dim Sum more
