Capitol Hill Vision

I'll take it a step further than the other reviewers -- Dr. Llewellyn's receptionist was downright rude. I recently moved to the neighborhood and was excited to find an optometrist down the street. During my initial visit, the receptionist was extremely unpleasant and he essentially grunted in response to my questions. He even got a little snarky with me. I returned a few days later hoping to interact with somebody else, but he was seated at the front desk again. Just as I expected, the guy was rude again. He appears to be miserable in his job, which makes me question Dr. Llewellyn's judgement. Why would he continue to employ someone who is mistreating his patients? How lame! Dr. Llewellyn is an excellent optometrist. He is smart and kind and takes his time during the exam. I have been going to hime for 3 years now and I always feel well cared for and am happy with my prescription. The front of office staff isn't as charming as the Dr. and the selection of frames is so-so. So I typically take my prescription to another place to pick out frames. Pros: Great Doctor! Cons: Slightly unfriendly office staff and so-so frames. more

If you're thinking about going to Capitol Hill Vision here are some things you should know. Dr. Llewellyn is a good doctor but his staff was not as helpful as they could have been. First, I should have been discouraged from buying the frames that were sold me because my progressive lense prescription was better suited to a larger lens. Secondly, when it was time for new lenses (at another office) I learned the frames I purchased from Capitol Hill Vision could not be reused. That pair of glasses did not serve me well at all and I'll not go back to Capitol Hill Vision. more
