First of all: Cash only. If you're car gets towed by Cedar Towing, get ready to pull money out of two separate bank accounts (unless you have a high withdrawal limit). I used ...

Harassed by constant messages 3/23/2009

I've been constantly harassed since filing a complaint with the BBB not only on review sites for posting my experience but to my cellphone and personal e-mail address as well. The only people that were aware of this was the ownership and general management of Cedar Towing. How ridiculous is it that they have to harass someone that complained about their personal experience? What kind of ownership is this? more

Unethical and negligent 3/2/2009

Was towed February 2nd from a lot without appropriate signage and they cracked front bumper. Met with GM (Al) and owner as well as security company where they dismissed it, offering to pay half of the tow and none of the damage. After two weeks of going back and forth they finally agreed to pay the full tow cost but never followed up or refunded. They also still refuse to pay for damages without going to court over it citing that "if I didn't notice the damage before leaving the lot it's not their responsibility". Their lot is not well lit in the evening, and a cracked black front bumper at night is difficult to see. On their tow slip when picked up the vehicle had "no obvious damage". Furthermore, they only accept cash despite having obvious signage that they accept credit cards. As a company that does towing for the city I would hope they would conduct more ethical business than that. I have filed this with the BBB, Attorney general and FTC. If you've had a similar experience I recommend you do the same! more

What can I say 1/16/2007

Of course if you have to unfortunately visit the offices of Cedar Towing, you know that you are going to be in a world of hurt. We, again unfortunately, were in that circumstance yesterday. We parked in a school parking lot that normally does not allow parking, but we thought since it was a holiday and no one had school that it would be ok. When we went to get our cars (not only me and hubby but my brother's friend).. we had to deal with an uncooperative clerk who would not give us public information about the company. And, they only take cash. There is an ATM on sight.. but my bank doesn't allow more then $200 taken out a day, the fee was $280. Thankfully our friend had a second account and we could borrow the money. We are definetly going to file a complaint. And why were we in the parking lot? Because my father is in the ICU at the hospital across the street. Talk about sticking it to you when you are down!! more
