Do not hire this company!\r \r After using Mission Maids for the past few years to clean a couple of vacation rentals I own, I was for the most part satisfied - and have had very few complaints from my tenants. Over the past three months or so things have really gone down hill. The crew kept forgetting to put supplies in the units and really stopped paying attention to detail while cleaning - missing picture ledges, window sills, and everything above 5 feet off the ground.\r \r I called the owner Peter each time and was promised that things would get back on track. Yesterday, after telling Peter that I needed the property to be extra clean - I received the complaint below (email to Peter is first)\r \r Peter - The quality of the work done at my property is just not up to par. Below is an email string with the most recent complaints. Because this has been a recurring problem, I'm sorry to inform you that I can no longer depend on your service and need to hire another company. Please cancel all future scheduled cleanings. Thanks\r \r I received this message yesterday ofter tenant checked-in:\r -Thanks John. Is there any soap- hand, dish, or dishwasher- in the apartment? Also the crevices of the red sofa are quite dirty- we actually found two candy wrappers wedged in the back and lots of crumbs- as well as the floor underneath the sofa. Was a bit of a shock since everything else seems pristine. Oh and we just noticed that the top of the fridge has cake crumbs and candy sprinkles and sticky frosting all over it. Might want to mention it to whoever cleans the apartment. In addition, we just found moldy coffee grounds and an old filter it the coffee maker - Gross! - more

I live out of state and my mother is getting on and can not longer keep up with cleaning her home. Mission Maids do a great job, make her feel comfortable and I can vary the cleanings based on what she needs. Plus they can bill my credit card and they always send me an invoice after each trip. I also like the fact that she gets the same people each trip and they speak good English. more

We live far out in Malibu, we have trouble finding a service that was willing to drive out to our home. Mission Maids covered our area and actually have several customers in our neighborhood. They were on time, fast and efficient. I like the fact that we get the same crew each time and we can vary what we want on each visit. The service is consistently excellent. more

I sent an email and got a call back within 5 minutes requesting service the same day. They were out in a few hours and were able to call me when they were on their way to give me an exact arrival time which was really helpful since I was running a bunch of errands on my day off. They did a great job and actually completed the cleaning in less time than was estimated so it cost less than the initial quote. more

I had Mission Maids come in and do a very thorough cleaning before I had my in-laws in town for the weekend. I was impressed with how well they did in just a couple hours and I definitely got good-wife-points from my mother-in-law! Very hard to do! I loved that Mission Maids showed up on time and only took a couple hours to get my WHOLE house spic and span! And they even got the stain out of the carpet near the door due to muddy boots. This is one of the few times I've hired a cleaning service, but next time I think I'll skip the stress and just call mission! more

We had our home remodeled, the contractor did do a light clean, but there was dust everywhere. We hired Mission Maids based on a friend's recommendation. They were very thorough and got in all the nooks and crannies, inside all the cabinets, baseboards, window tracks, moldings etc. We wanted it done in one day since we were moving back in the following day, they were able to send a crew of 5 first thing on they day we needed and finished with plenty of time to spare. I have used them off and on for a number of years. I can call the day before and they can get me in the next day. I like the fact that they are able to call me when they are on there way to give me an exact start time. It allows me to go to work, pop back to let them in and go back to work. That way I can have my weekends free. They provide all their own cleaning products and they always do a thorough job. Recommended. more

I needed an appointment on Sunday morning, we were having a superbowl party and our other cleaning service flaked cancelling their appointment at the last minute on Sat afternoon. I called around and Mission Maids was the only company willing to come out and clean. They arrived on time with all their gear and got straight to work. The maids did a great job, our home hasn't looked better in years. They also came back on Monday morning to clean after the party. We have now switched companies and will be using them for our bi weekly service. more

Called for same day service, they were the only company that could have a crew come out that afternoon. Also there rates with the introductory discount were less than the other places I called. They were on time and did a great job. I have already recommended them to a friend and I heard that they did a great for her too. more

I called Mission Maids to have them clean my house. They did a great job cleaning every room in my house and it looked spotless! I've used Mission Maids a few times now and every time they clean my house, I've always been happy with the outcome. I would recommend Mission Maids to anyone looking for housecleaning! more

We used a Groupon to bring Mission Maids to our home. The first thing the two women did when they arrived was to tell me they were starting work at 9:15 and they had 2 hours. This was before seeing the house or discussing the work. I knew they would be clock watchers. I told them I wanted to have the bathrooms cleaned, the kitchen cleaned and if they had more time to mop the floors. I have 4 bathrooms. They immediately said they didn't think they could finish the bathrooms in that time. they barely did. 2 hours...2 people and they managed to clean 2 bathrooms. We've had house cleaners before and 1 person usually can manage 4 bathrooms in 1 hour. Halfway through the job I asked them about the products they were using. I noticed a lysol spray can. We only ordered the Groupon because we wanted GREEN PRODUCTS ONLY. NO chemicals. We do not use these other products in our house. The women showed me the Lysol, Comet, Windex that they were using. NOT GREEN. I almost threw them out but figured they might as well finish. I sent an email to complain to them but received no response. I normally don't like to issue public complaints because my goal is not to hurt a business. Any experience can be bad one time, but when they don't respond it shows they don't care what people thing. No effort to try and maintain any level of customer service. more

Made reservation for Tuesday, waited in, they didnt arrive. Said they would come the next day (which they did, so, ok 1 star) They just left, and they DID NOT CLEAN my living room and main bathroom. Its not like my house is huge and they had too much to do - they didnt even make an effort. Disappointing more

Used a Groupon to try out Mission Maids. I knew it wasn't a good sign when I left a voice message and never got a return call. Tried again a few days later. The two woman were early - 2 hours!!! It was fine, as I was straightened things up getting ready for them. Both woman spent a full hour in the master bedroom - which was odd I had cleaned it throughly last week. They vacuumed, (the only room they did). Then they came down stairs and one cleaned our tiny galley kitchen while the other dusted the living room ( did a good job on the big screen tv) At two hours they informed me the time was up and did I want them to continue for additional $. They hadn't swept or mopped the kitchen nor vacuumed the living/dining combo, nor did they even touched the second bedroom or bathroom. I decided I could do a better job and told them to just leave. Did give them a tip. Wouldn't have them back. Slow and on a mission to charge more money!!! Gave them a two star as the one woman did an ok job in the kitchen. I don't think the owner realizes that Groupon is to try out a business, so you can continue using them if they do a great job. They are a rip off!!!! more

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a company. Purchased a Groupon for Mission Maids. When I called to made an appt, the owner answered the phone. The appt. we agreed upon was for them to be at my home from 1:00 - 2:30 on 4/14. I informed the owner I needed them to be done no later than 2:30 so I could pick up my son from school. When they didn't show I called. The owner told me 1:00 - 2:30 was the 'arrival window' not the 'working window.' I reminded him I had been very specific about my time constraints and that he had understood and assured me at the time that it was fine. The Groupon offered 2 maids for 2 hours, but due to my situation he offered me 3 maids for one and a half hours. I told him I would never have made the appt. had I known about the 'arrival window.' I would have made it for another day. He was rude, nasty and belligerent. When I asked for his name he refused to give it to me, what a coward! He informed me, using very colorful language, that he would not reschedule the appt., and would not give back my money. I had to file a formal complaint with Groupon to get a refund. I also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and a handful of government agencies that regulate businesses and consumer fraud. If I hadn't had Groupon behind me I would never have gotten any money back, I'd have had to sue him in Small Claims Court. more

I can't believe this place is being rated as Best of City Search! This must be indeed old as there is no decent review that I see recently for this ""cleaning service"". more

I too was a Groupon coupon user. My experience while very dissappointing was expected. They send people who do not understand you are no work ethic. I cleaned houses to pay for my college education and I took pride in the work I did. I only requested them to do such things as dusting, washing out trash cans and wiping down the pantry. If done it was ioly half and the other things were not even done. It is like stealing your money! They sent people that did not even speak english. I printed out their cleaning check list in hopes that it would explain my needs best and they could not even read it. I could not even imagine trusting these people to sanitize your bathrooms. Thanks for nothing! more

The previous good reviews had to be done by the staff. I have had other maid services and after getting the Groupon Deal I decided to give Mission a try. I was very disappointed, they did a horrible job. They swept and did not mop the floors, left the floors dirty. They did not dust or clean the window sills and left the showers spotted with lime build up. more

the thing I appreciate most about Mission service is her professionalism Although Elsa sends the same wonderful cleaner everytime, I know she has a cleaning staff and, I know I can always expect my house cleaned on any specific day or time i want more
