My son also enjoys the noodles and likes the conveyor belt. Pay attention to the different colored plates (different pricing) or you...

If you're looking to introduce someone to sushi, Blue C is the place to go. Many of the dishes are "safe" and easy (cucumber rolls galore!), and everything is labeled so you can s...

Awesome!!! 3/30/2004

I LOVE Blue C Sushi. The sushi is fresh and tastes great! I loved being able to pick just a few things that I wanted instead of having to order an entire roll. The prices are perfect and you end up spending way less than other sushi places. This is now my FAVORITE sushi place and I am addicted! Pros: Fresh Sushi, Great, fun service, Fun Atmosphere more

yuk 3/28/2004

worst sushi i've ever had. under rare circumstances months ago, i went to a conveyer belt sushi bar for the first time. yes it was cheap but gross. i told myself i'd never go to another conveyer belt sushi bar. i've always been cautious taking advice of where to eat sushi as i have learned most people have no clue what fresh and good sushi really is. but all the hype about blue c, i thought i'd give it a try. YUK!!! 2 nigiri dishes and could barely swallow them they were so old and dry. should have known, american owned sushi bar + young non-japanese chefs = bad sushi. as someone mentioned before, i did not appreciate the cup of water with tea bag either. you've never had decent sushi if you think this place is good. more

Great time! 3/28/2004

I went there on a Friday night and only waited 15 minutes until being seated. My service was excellent, just push the blue button and our waitress was there. Great place to go for an entertaining, inexpensvie night out! Pros: inexpensive, good service, good atmosphere more

Ugh! 3/25/2004

I love finding good sushi at a good price but this was definitely NOT it. First of all, we were told the wait would be 35 minutes when in actuality it was 1.5 hours. When we asked the waitress in the bar to order appetizers (after waiting 1 hr) she looked like we had offended her somehow and sent the bartender over to us. After finally being seated, we pulled dishes off of the conveyor belt - bland, uninteresting, not much diversity of choices in the sushi. It ended up costing about the same as Chinoise Cafe which has Great sushi. Don't recommend. Cons: , Tasteless food more

Hip Without Taste 3/8/2004

It's a popular place. I had to wait over an hour on a Saturday evening to be seated. The atmosphere is typical hip Fremont with an upstairs waiting area. The lights and layout are neat. But that's where it stops. The sushi is bland and below par. Oh, and where are the Japanese chefs? They all look like they just came out of culinary school. Don't expect to get any traditional green tea. What you get is a cup of luke warm water with a tea bag in it. Who runs this restaurant? Have they ever been to Japan or speak a word of it? Looking hip won't improve the taste. If you're used to real sushi and been to Japan, go elsewhere. Pros: New Look Cons: , Bad Tea more

Supurb Sushi 2/25/2004

Blue C Sushi has great food for an even better value. The set up is very comfortable in a modern way. Food comes to you, and the people are very friendly to say the least. They have a happy hour that has prices to die for as well. I will definantly be coming back very soon! It was great! Pros: Great good, Great area, excellent prices Cons: , not open late night more

Who knew in seattle??? 10/25/2003

I've been to Japan a number of times and I have to say I was shocked when I stepped into Blue C Sushi. In Japan, Kaiten sushi restaurants are nearly as nice. Most of the ones I used to eat at were quite run-down. I read your post Mr. Huxley and I don't really understand it. This place is serving much better food than your typical kaiten restaurant in Japan--where kaiten sushi was started! From a food standpoint I was the most impressed with the selections of tuna. Try the california roll with real crab--it's better. I'm back home! Pros: Great selection, good prices, fresh Cons: busy more

Lunch/dinner/afterhours.... 10/7/2003

Blue C is a perfect spot for lunch....you can get in and out in 30 minutes, and the food is incredible. The chefs will make whatever you want, and it's ready in minutes. Great spot to take your date before hitting the town, or after a movie. Highly recommend it! Pros: fast, delicious Cons: crowded more

Gimme the Goods and Not Gimmicks 10/1/2003

I have been to Blue C twice now. and unfortunately, my opinion has not changed. The atmosphere is your typical hip Fremont spot, but the food leaves much to be desired. I definitely think this place has potential. I'd just hold off from going there until it gains a better understanding of what conveyor belt sushi is all about. Obviously this place spent more time on the look and feel rather than the art of quality sushi. more

Fun for all 9/23/2003

I visited Blue C on Saturday night with my two kids. Friends had told me about it - Fantastic! The food was great, there was plenty for the kids, and the conveyor belt kept us entertained the entire time. I have been to these types of restaurants in Vancouver and London, but this is the best I have ever visited. The atmosphere and the food is excellent! Pros: Inexpensive, Good for families, Great food/selection Cons: Busy, I ate too much more

Wow--that was fun 9/22/2003

Blue C is without a doubt THE best Kaiten Sushi Seattle, (and probably the West Coast) Seattle has to offer. The fish is fresh and WOW what a design. To the poor guy who came in alone...you are wrong. The host was trying to HELP you by jumping you on the list in five minutes if one slot opend up. That's how Kaiten works. This is my new favorite place to eat sushi--even though it's easy to overeat! more

Bad Taste 9/19/2003

I was excited about trying the new sushi place in Fremont, but was quickly disappointed. I asked for seating for one and was told it could be either 5 minutes or 25 minutes, as seating for one was the ""most difficult to seat"". The host seated parties before me. Evenutally I was offered the opportunity to put some of the sushi items into a ""to-go"" box and sit at the table by the window. I decided to leave. The host made a choice not to seat one in favor of larger parties for more $$. So much for creating loyalty. I'll be sure not to patronize their business and encourage my friends not to go as well. I'd rather eat at Chinoise on 45th where they have no trouble seating one and offer many benefits at their sushi bar including friendly staff and complimentary snacks. Cons: atmosphere, attitude more

Maycia 9/10/2003

We went to check this place out after a co-worker told me about it. I have been waiting for conveyor belt sushi to hit Seattle. This place is great. The food is very fresh and the sushi chefs are more than willing to whip you up a little something if you don't see what you are looking for whizzing by. It's a great place to go with a couple of friends or even by yourself (as you can get a little of this and a little of that without ordering $50.00 worth of food), and the best part is, there is no waiting for your food, you just sit down and start grabbing plates off of the belt. This is my new favorite fun spot. Pros: Fun atmosphere, Good Food, Inexpensive Cons: Can get crowded, Limited selection more
