I've been practicing for 10 yrs and was Scottsdale for a week on business. I went to BYNS. My first impression was less than serene, there was a loud brash blonde woman working the front desk wishing 'happy Monday' in a loud voice..OK, the studio was carpeted clean & hot...The teacher came in, Robin, I think her name was, and she proceeded to do her impression of Will Farrell on SNL in the skit where he plays 'Yelling Man'. For 90 minutes I felt like I was in a boot camp class for 'the hearing impaired..not so serene...The next day I went to an 8pm class. Tabula Rasa-blank slate-open mind. The teacher introduced herself, two names, second name Ann. I wasn't sure if she just came out of Bikram Training, seemed like it. She was 'Not Ready for Bikram Prime Time'. Her delivery was a droning stacco out of sync w. the energy of the class...I know that as practicing Bikram Yogi's we have to work on our practice and suspend judgement and apply the tenets of unconditional love, but if Bikram dropped in on the classes I attended, incognito, he would've put these teachers through training again and requested the owner do a customer satisfaction...Namaste
