Trevor worked hard to get me approved 3/1/2011

Trevor was very friendly and easy to talk to about what i was looking for and what he sold to me which was a 2006 Ford Taurus that i have only driven for a day but i already know that i love it The car looks brand new and only has almost 49000 miles and it drives very smooth. The other thing i liked about Trevor was that he worked hard to try and get me approved for a loan and although it took a some time to get it done because i had no credit in my name it all worked out in the end. I would definitely recommend this place to family members and friends and hope to deal with Trevor in years to come. more

WITH MATT AND HE DETERMINED WHAT I SHOULD BE LOOKING AT IN A USED 4X4 VEHICLE. AFTER LOOKING AT THREE VEHICLES THE THIRD WAS A GEM. WE CHOSE A GMC ENVOY WITH A DENALI PACKAGE AND LOW MILES. A CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE DOCUMENTED WITH A CARFAX WHICH MEANT ALOT TO ME. WE CAME TO AN AGREEMENT ON PRICE AND I WAS COMPLETELY SATISIFIED. Started with an online search and Bob (internet sales) responded to our inquiry. Went later that evening to test drive the car and was directed to Brian Hall who took us out for a test drive. Personally, I am a Toyota person but my boyfriend is a GM kind of guy. I was very impressed with how the car test drove. Brian was very friendly and very patient with us during the drive and setting up a sales agreement. Brian took a lot of ribbing and was a very good sport about it all. My friend was pretty upset and nervous abouting getting into a car loan again during these trying financial time. Brian and Bob worked well with the loan service people and my friend was able to purchase a quality car at a price/payment that was not only affordable to him but that left him feeling like he didn't get raked over the coals! He believes that it is probably the first experience he has had at his old age...lol..that left him feeling good about his decision, the car and the sales person that helped make it possible. Brian Hall for President?...... well...... jury is still out on that! Great Experience overall. We'd be happy to recommend or buy again....if they had Toyota's that is....Kathy MacGray on behalf of Glen Levitre..... He was very happy! We certainly would recommend the dealership and especially Brian/Bob to any friend, relative or stranger who would care to listen to the positive experience we had. more

This was the best decision that I made for my vehicle needs 1/28/2011

I was looking for a newer car for my commute to school and back. I needed a car that was safe and reliable. I decided to go to Bertera Chevrolet Pontiac Buick in Palmer, MA. This was the best decision that I made for my vehicle needs. I met Trevor Smart, who from beginning to end was a professional and friendly salesman. I highly recommend Trevor to anyone looking for a vehicle. I was limited to what I could buy because of my inexperience with credit, but Trevor made it possible to find a newer car that was not only safe and reliable but fit my budget. I am still very greatful to what this dealership has done for me. All of the staff were very friendly and made you feel comfortable. The finance manager worked hard to get me a great deal! 1/26/2011

I'm giving this rating because, my previous car interest rate was 21% 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, after going to Bertera Chevrolet, the finance manager in particular worked very hard and got me a deal on a 2008 Ford Expidition at 8%, I could not believe how great they were in assisting me. It was the best experience by far that I've ever had with any dealership. more

Stopped in to Bertera-Palmer while driving back home to the Berkshires from a stop in Worcester. It was my first visit to a dealership as I begain the search to replace my Bonneville which has just passed 182,000 miles. Didn't inted to buy, just look at several models. Wound up test driving a nice Malibu, then sizing up and Impala. Johnny and Jay were both friendly, informative and cooperative. While I still wasn't ready to go to the next step, my son is a GM mechanic in Southborough MA and encourages me to keep the brand in the family. more

My wife needed a new car. After searching the internet and local dealers for months, and being told that we were "un-financeable", we came across a car at Bertera that was priced well below everyone else. After waiting a few weeks (for money to come in) we drove 1-1/2 hours to go check it out. It was (is) absolutely gorgeous. Long story short, Trevor helped get us into a car we love at a price we can afford. He stayed long after closing time to make sure that we were taken care of. They even worked out a deal with us when there was trouble getting the title for our trade. We want to thank Trevor and everyone else that stayed late and worked hard to get us the car we needed! more

I've been looking around for a new car for a few months. The car I was driving is still running fine so I was in no big hurry. I saw a 2009 Chevy Cobalt online at Bertera and decided to go down and look at it. I really liked the car and after speaking with the sales rep. Trevor Smart, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Trevor made sure I knew exactly what I was buying (explained everything from the air bags to the sound system and even showed me the kbb value of the car online) and that I was happy with it. The people who wrote the negative reviews on this site are either overly critical or slightly delusional. If you want a low payment for a vehicle, it's a good idea to do your research first. A sales rep can't magically improve your credit so you can drive a Hummer for less than $300 a month. Be realistic and do the math yourself. It's not their fault that you ""need"" to drive a car that's out of your price range. I'm a young female (the exact person whom you think would be ""taken advantage"" of during a car deal) and I never once felt uncomfortable or pressured into buying anything. My husband was displeased with the service at Bertera prior to this as well (due to an experience years ago). After dealing with the sales and finance staff this time, he has changed his mind. I left with a nice, quality car and my two year old left with a cookie. Good experience for all of us! If any of my friends or family are looking for new vehicles in the future, I will definitely recommend Bertera! more

Happy with my car buying experience. 1/7/2011

let me start by saying im a very busy person and normally wouldnt take the time to write that i was happy with my car buying experience. BUT this wasnt just buying a new car, this was much more personal for me. I went to bertera after making phone calls to several dealers looking to trade in my motorcycle for a truck, as sometimes life changes and could no longer afford the bike. i was completely upside down in the loan for not putting any down, i work for myself and had no pay stubs to show, but did have a good credit rating. i explained all this to every dealer and three responded. one said they could give me a maximum of 2500 for my bike(ha), another dealer wouldnt even take it after i mentioned the negative equity. it was imperative that i purchased a truck before winter and also to get out of my horrible motorcycle loan (19.9%) dont fall for intro rates! nonetheless i asked for 4000 for my bike in trade(shooting a little high i thought), and after calling a few places told me they were happy to tell me they could offer me 4500. and im no dummy, that was well above nada and kbb value. of course this was welcomed news, and i checked out a few trucks. i came back the next day with my bike and they crunched and twisted the numbers until we were all blue in the face, but finally were able to get me into a really nice truck, for exactly what i wanted to pay a month, and my rate went down to 7.9%. they WILL go the extra mile to make a sale, i highly recommed this dealer to anyone. and trust me i have dealt with my share of car and motorcycle dealers, these guys are straight shooters and dont have any incentive to nickel and dime you. so they dont. i will be forever thankful that i was able to get out of that crazy bike loan and now have a reliable 4X4 truck. they also were told that i needed the truck asap and they certainly did their part, even giving me a loaner for a few days while i waited for my title to come in. do yourself a favor and go talk to matt, you wont be disappointed more

My wife and I found the people to be very friendly and helpful. Price and willingness to work with us was very good. The facility is very neat and comfortable. The follow up work to get our purchase ( 2009 Malibu) ready and the minor parts replaced to meet our requests were carried out exactly as we had discussed at purchase, a service I have never seen before at other dealerships. I will and have already recommended this dealer to friends and family. more

I traveled to Bertera in MA from CT as the result of an ad I saw online. It was well worth the trip because I had a very good experience at Bertera. I was met by the general manager (sales mgr)who greeted me and we talked briefly before he introduced me to the salesman who would be handling my purchase. My salesman was honest, direct, and not pushy. We had a "normal" conversation about life issues and finally got around to purchase a vehicle. I told him exactly what I was looking for, what I wanted to spend, etc. Less than a week later, I bought a 2008 Grand Prix from Bertera on only my 2nd visit, and I would definitely return to purchase another vehicle in the future. more

I saw a car That Bertera Chevy had advertised on Ebay. It was the exact model & color that I was looking for. I called he number in the ad & got a salesman who connected me with Dominick the Sales Manager. I feel that I had a fairly difficult deal for them to work with. I was trading a 2007 Civic EX for a 2008 Civic SI. I wanted to negotiate the asking price on the car that Bertera had while still getting a fair trade in value on my 07 Civic. After a short while, Dominick & I came to a very fair agreement. I was treated like a valued customer. I rarely see that anymore. Dominick & his team went above & beyond what I feel would be the norm. The car was even delivered to me in NY (2 hours away) at no additional charge. I am giving Bertera Chevrolet & Dominick the highest possible rating because they treated me as if I had been dealing with them for years. I will buy from them again & I will recommend them highly to my friends & family. more

I have had bad experiences attempting to purchase a car as a young female and felt that salesmen would try to take advantage of me. Trevor Smart was so wonderful and honest and helpful. The entire experiences at Bertera in Palmer, MA was outstanding. Everyone was kind and helpful and positive. Trevor spent HOURS with me and I enjoyed his wit and approach to sales. He should be commended for his efforts and honesty. I will, with out a doubt, purchase my next car form Bertera in Palmer and be glad to work with Trevor again. I will recommend Trevor and his dealership to everyone! It was a pleasure working with everyone and I absolutly love my new Saab. more

My experience at Bertera was a positive one. We purchased a new pick-up truck from Brian Hall and were very satisfied.He knows his product and it was not a pressure filled sale.We took our time and did not feel rushed. I would recommend this dealership. We have purchased cars in the past and it was a tension filled proccess, but not here.In going over the paperwork Brian answered all questions clearly and honestly.Everyone was very helpful. more

I found the car I was looking for on their web site and called to make sure they still had the car. I explained I lived in New Hampshire and that I did not want to play games. They were excellent to deal with and followed up with all details of the deal. I got the money I was looking to get for my trade and I paid a fair price for the car I purchased. They even delivered my new car to me in NH to save me the drive. I would recommend this dealer to my friends and family and will probably buy my next car from them. Jay and Frank were both great to deal with. more

extremely impressed 12/1/2010

I bought a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo from Bertera Chevrolet. I was extremely impressed upon driving up to the dealership, and was immediately greeted at the door. I had done my research and essentially knew which vehicle I wanted to purchase, but I was still impressed with the timely manner in which I walked into the dealership and drove out with my new car. I live on Cape and had mechanical issued a short time after purchase. My muffler began to rot a bit, cause a hole in my muffler, which made it very loud and unsafe due to emissions. I took a chance and called Bertera to tell them about my issue, thinking that I would be told that I was well past the warantee and they would be unable to help me, or would request that I would have to drive from Cape Cod to Palmer to repair it. However, I could not have been more wrong. After speaking with Bertera and discussing my repair, they allowed me to get my car fixed on the Cape, and they sent me a full reimbursement check within days of calling them. Economic times are tough, and Bertera was an enormous help during this time. It is nive to know that they not only care about their cars, but also the people driving them. I would recommend Bertera as the sales staff were extremely professional and they took care of issues immediatelly upon receipt of my phone call. I highly recommend Bertera of Palmer and will definitely be going back there to buy my next car! more

Always professional 11/24/2010

My husband called the dealership regarding a murrano that they had on their lot. He told Trevor that he was sending his wife over to test drive the car only. I came in and asked for him and he brought the car over and I test drove the car. While out on the test drive I told Trevor that I did come in the other day asking if they had a BMW M3, the person said no, but that person did offer to det one for me, and I said no that's OK. So anyway, Trevor said do you mean and X3? I said yes that's the one, I got my X3's and M3's mixed up. So, we returned to the dealership and I test drove the BMW X3. I told him that I like the car, but my husband would not be available until Sunday, to come down and test drive the car. He said that would not be a problem. I put down a $300.00 hold on the car, until my husband could come and look at the car. I told Trevor that I just test drive cars, I don't get involved with the cost of the car. He was great, he never pressured me into making a deal. He is very professional salesmen. He is a great asset to the Bertera dealership. He was always professional, and also shared some things about his family, as I did as well. We had great laugh about the car, kids and other things. He's just not trying to just sell a car, he also likes to know somethings abou the person themselves. He did tell me that I was taking one of his favorite cars off the lot, sorry Trevor, but there are two more cars of his liking. I just want to thank Trevor again for everything! more
