Andrew Mark Klapper, M.D. - Outer Beauty

I don't want to get into specifics. Let's just say that he fixed the work of one of his colleagues. He did so professionally without ever bad mouthing the other doctor, no matter how many times I pushed him to say something bad he would not. He fixed me and did so with class and dignity despite the curses that came out of my mouth every other word regarding the other surgeon. I guess my point is if you have a problem and need to find another plastic surgeon you want someone who will calmly deal with you and not inflame the situation. I respect Dr.Klapper for this. I highly recommend for his class, skill and bedside manner. more

I am getting married in a few months and had gone to Dr. Klapper looking for a laser treatment for my skin. I was a little nervous at first, but Dr. K is amazing. First of all, I really appreciated that he was open and honest with me. He told me the reality of the procedures we discussed and not just what he thought I would want to hear. I also liked that he stayed in touch post treatment (I had the micropeel done) to make sure I was doing okay. My skin has never felt or looked this good and on top of it - I loved my doctor. Definitely worth going to see him! more

Good: I had my breast operated by a surgeon on Staten Island that I did not know was not even a plastic surgeon. They were terrible. I went to see Dr.Klapper in Manhattan because he was referred to me by a doctor friend. Seems it is a well known fact that Dr.Klapper fixes alot of his colleagues breast work. They send him their patients. I thought there was no hope for mine. He fixed them by replacing the saline for silicone and adding Alloderm.. Bad: I liked everything. He is expensive but you get what you pay for returned in expertise and outcome.. Other: I know he now has one of the few Vectra 3D machines in NYC. It would have been helpful to be able to see what I would have looked like in 3D before surgery. That is definitely an added plus and my advice to any perspective implant patients. Go see in 3D what you would look like first on the Vectra.. more

Good: I like that a 5th Ave Plastic Surgeon opened a facility in Staten Island. I grew up on Staten Island with my parents taking me into Manhattan for the best doctors. This is a game changer. Bad: It is difficult to get an appointment. I wish it were easier. Improvements: Wait time. I guess this is a double edges sword. You want the doc to spend as much time as he needs to with you but when he does that to the people there before you it can get a bit annoying.. Other: I think the bar has been reset in Staten Island. There is just no competition at this level. The docs you think are great out by us rarely if ever exist in Manhattan. Plus the facility probably cost Dr.Klapper several millions dollars to build. We have finally caught up to the other boroughs.. more
