Anna is seriously..the best 10/10/2010

Anna is fantastic! Went in for a Brazilian before I left for boston - she's so thorough. I had a bad experience my first time getting one, but Anna was really nurturing and calmed my nerves! she even saw me 2 hours before my appointment because i got out of work early. She tweezed all the stray hairs - yes, it was very painful, even more painful then the actual waxing (in my opinion) - but, a beautiful result! She's my go-to from now on. & she's moderately priced too, only $55! more

Pros and Cons 10/3/2010

After reading all of these great reviews about Anna, I decided to try her out. Don't get me wrong, Anna is a very sweet woman who made me feel very comfortable. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time since I moved to Boston over 6 weeks ago. I usually get my eyebrows done every 3 weeks, so she had quite a job to do. There were pros and cons to what she did. She trimmed my eyebrows a lot which is different, but I really liked it. What I didn't like, however was that when I got home I still had a bunch of stray hairs that I had to pluck out. Also, she didn't use any sort of lotion on my skin which is very sensitive, so I was extremely red and got some bumps on my upper lip from the waxing. I think if she wasn't so rushed she would have more time to pluck stray hairs. I also think the salon should require she use some kind of cortizone cream or something. I think I might keep looking around before I go back to Amaci, especially since my appointment was at 4 and i wasn't seen until 4:45. more

I am THE BIGGEST baby about waxing. I have very sensitive skin & no lie, I've actually cried during bikini or Brazilian waxes and wouldn't go back to get them done unless I absolutely had to (e.g. if I was going on a trip, etc). I decided to try Anna to see if I could at least make it through the procedure without bawling. SHE WAS AMAZING!! I told her ""we'll see"" if I get a Brazilian and because of the experience and the fact that there was very little pain, I ended up getting one. I also told her to do my eyebrows on the spot and they came out wonderfully. Anna knows her stuff and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and at ease, explaining everything as she goes along. If you are afraid of getting a bikini or Brazilian wax, go to Anna. She will totally change you! Also, her prices are VERY reasonable. $55 for a Brazilian. I normally would pay close to double that and would end up in tears. Anna is simply amazing! more

Sonia is the best! 8/23/2010

I have lots of hair and it is wavy, too. In the summer, it is huge and uncontrollable. I took a chance after seeing the reviews on CitySearch and called Amaci Salon and was given an appointment with Sonia. I immediately liked her and she put me completely at ease. She fixed my hair color and made it look warm and natural instead of brassy AND she gave me a haircut that looked great! No more big summer hair. I also love that I am not stuck in a salon for four hours getting my hair done, which makes me not want to get my hair done at all. They validate parking at the Radisson so that is nice, too. Book your next appointment while you are there for a discount on your next cut. Overall, the salon is clean, the staff is friendly, and I get the best cut and color I have gotten anywhere. Sonia is the absolute best and I won't go anywhere else. more

I took them up on a gloss since my hair tends to look a bit dull in between color. I haven't been back in a few weeks, and my hair still looks like I just left the salon!! I'm so happy with it. I recommend going to see Amad. He'll make you feel really comfortable about the process and takes time to explain specific products and techniques for my hair type. Oh! And they offer a great discount for referring your friends. You won't regret sending them here! more

I haven't had my eyebrows done professionally in years- I just plucked myself every now and then and have never really been pleased with my shape. I went to Anna and had my eyebrows threaded last night. I walked out 15 minutes later so thrilled with how they looked. It honestly has made an overall difference on my face. She threads them, then plucks and trims them, and all I can say is I am amazed. I will never pluck my eyebrows again! Anna is awesome! Pros: Great Location, Great Prices more

I recently went in to see Amad for the first time. I got full highlights and I couldn't be happier! He told me they recently finished some renovations and the salon looked GREAT! This place has a really great vibe and a really friendly receptionist. I'll definitely go back to Amad for all of my coloring needs. He was fast and made me look amazing. more

Now I know why Anna has such a loyal following. she is A-MAZING! I was really nervous to get a bikini wax, but she made me feel really comfortable and was very good with explaining what she was going to do and how much it was going to hurt. I've been 3 times now and everytime is less painful with consistently good results. She has also made my brows look better than ever.. Extraordinary 4/26/2010

I recently had my hair highlighted by Sonia and she was extraordinary. I must admit i was nervous, see I had been coloring my own hair black for at least a year. Sonia explained everything she was going to do before hand and put me right at ease. The process was painless and the results AMAZING! My hair is healthy and shiny! Pros: Great people, Great views..
