Best experience in Boston 7/7/2008

I was recently in town on a buisness trip and needed a hair salon badly. When i went online i found Amaci's. The staff there was wonderful and treated me like a queen. While with my stylist, Curtis, the owner made an appereance to welcome me there which i thought was a really nice gesture. My hair cut came out better then i could of ever expected. Whenever im in town Amacis will be my first stop. more

Good choice for makeup application and more 7/1/2008

I was in Boston recently for a charity function and stopped at Amaci because it was a short walk from my hotel. I did not have an appointment and only waited a few minutes to be served. Considering that it was a Saturday afternoon, I was pleased to receive such rapid service. First, Anna did my makeup and I was very pleased. Made me look very special. Believe me that was not an easy job. I suggested that she consider selling the blush and lipstick colors she used because I liked the colors and would have liked to have had them with me for touch-ups during the evening. After that, Maria recombed my hair and made me look like I had just had my hair done. She made some very good suggestions as to cut and color (I have highlights) that if I had had the time I would have had her do them. The next time I visit Boston, I will make an appointment with her. more

Nothing compared to Reviews 6/27/2008

I went to Amaci recently, first experience and it wasn't all that it was made out to be. Amad was very friendly but seemed distracted most of the time (ie. answering phones, talking to other clients, rushing). My highlights weren't the color I wanted, too dark and the roots looked as if I hadn't had my hair colored in weeks!! The price wasn't bad for the city, but I definitely wasn't satisfied. I called my mom crying about how I just wasted $200 on highlights that looked like they were 3 weeks old. The haircut was great, I would go back for that. But I wouldn't brag about the salon. I definitely wouldn't recomend it for highlights, maybe a haircut. I have been getting my hair done for at least 10 years and have only complained ONE other time. I do have to say though...he was on time and I only had to wait 5 minutes! more

Amaci's has always provided great services for me. I have been going to Ana for brazilian waxes. Brazilian waxes aren't ever pleasant but she makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. more

Amad is the Bomb!! 6/16/2008

I searched long and hard for a hair salon and stylist in Boston. After reading the reviews about Amaci I decided to make an appointment with Amad. I went in with hair down to my waist and came out with an amazing short cut and color. Amad has a different cutting technique then anyone that has cut my hair before. I highly recommend Amaci to anyone who's looking for a hip salon with reasonable prices! Pros: Excellent service, Amad has amazing talent! Cons: None. It's the best more

I have the flyest hair cut in Boston. Everywhere I go i get compliments, my stylist Curtis is the best around. If you want a hair cut that is unique and you are not afraid to be different go see him. He has a talent like no other stylist I have ever seen I feel like a new woman since I got my hair cut . more

I love my hair extensions 6/11/2008

I came in after a horrible hair cut at another salon, to get a consultation just for info on hair extensions. I felt so comfortable with Curtis, I decided to leave a deposit. He picked the finest hair, and blended it right into my hair so well people didnt even notice i had them, exactly what i wanted i highly recommend Curtis and Amaci Boston to anyone who needs extensions or is looking for more info on them Pros: Love my long hair i feel like a pusseycat doll LOL Cons: no complaints more

Highlights & dark hair? No problem here. 6/10/2008

My first trip to Amaci was last week, and I have to say - my highlights have never come out this good!! My appointment was on time (can't remember the last time i could say that) and Amad does phenomenal work. I've got dark hair, so putting light highlights through evenly is never easy...but this was no challenge for Amad. Absolutely satisfied - I know where I'll be going next time I need anything for my hair! Pros: Excellent Highlights! Cons: Nothing i can think of... more

I've been to many places for a brazilian but i've never had such a good experience as i did with Anna. She's very sweet and patient and i would definitely recommend her to everyone who wants to have a perfect Brazilian done. Call and ask for Anna, i'm sure you won't regret it! more
