Great work with eyebrows, friendly people 3/5/2008

I had this service done probably a month ago, but forgot to write a review until now. Went in to get my eye-brows done. Very hospitable and friendly. There was a bit of mis-communication because Anna (Amma?) thought that I wanted a threading, but I just politely said I wanted a waxing, which was no problem. Everyone was very nice and the salon was super clean and chic. I might try and go back within the next few days to get highlights done. Einstein brows 3/4/2008

Ugh! I had my eyebrows done at this salon because I could not get an appointment at my usual place. The staff seemed nice, but the individual that threaded my eyebrows did a very poor job. My brows look ratty and they are uneven thickness-wise and length-wise. One has a slight arch, one is straight and to top it off both look like they are a wax that has grown in unevenly with stragglers. I should be able to fix it with a brow pencil and tweezers. more

Best Cut in Boston 3/1/2008

Amad is a creative genius. He always has innovative suggestions and knows what's in. He's also fun to talk to and always has interesting stuff to say...I've been going to Amaci's for close to two years and have never been disappointed with my haircut. Also, the salon is run flawlessly, with very little wait, unlike other places where the wait is 30 minutes plus. I highly recommend giving Amaci a try! Pros: Sleek salon, music, prices more

It was a rainy day in October 1995 when I happened upon Amad. He cut my hair and added some highlights just for kicks. My hair hasn't been cut by anyone else since. I have never been unhappy with a cut, except when I asked him to do something he had advised against. He knows me; he knows my hair. I've gone in and said ""Can you make me look stylish?"" and he did it. I have recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so. Tell him Jessica says Hi! more

Great work, Settle on a price beforehand so no surprises! 1/17/2008

I've done to Rossmary three times now after a recommendation from a co-worker. She gives great service and is a perfectionist. She mixed a great color for me. However, last time I got a retouching of my highlights and haircut, the price was $150. When I got it done recently, it was $170 and she was 30min late to start. I would like the price to be cheaper and next time I will definitely ask what the price is before she touches my head. Pros: Excellent hair cut and coloring Cons: PRICE!!! more

Amad has been doing my hair since college, and now I'm a 30-something mom. He's adapted my hairstyles to fit every phase of my life. He listens to what I want, and I trust his judgement completely - the color is always amazing and the cut always stylish and exactly what I'm looking for. One thing I can count on is always leaving Amad's salon feeling beautiful! But the real proof is in 15 or so years of others complimenting my hair. Amad has brought his own personality into Amaci, making it a relaxing, fun place to be, with a team of very talented, creative and dedicated stylists. Pros: Relaxed, yet professional setting. I'm picky about haircuts and hair salons, because I like my hair style to be distinctive. Amaci is a great salon and Amad a wonderful stylist. The staff is always welcoming and Amad has an unerring sense of style. High End Salon Experience at Good Prices 12/25/2007

I went to Amaci after reading several of the excellent reviews here on citysearch and the experience has lived up to my expectations. Amad does an amazing job of cutting and styling hair; he seems to know the latest styles and methods, and I'm impressed that he stays on top of current trends. The experience is high end salon, but the prices are much more reasonable. Amaci is a great find in Boston; it lives up to is reputation. Pros: Cutting edge styling knowledge, and the ability to meet customer's needs for styles/treatments Cons: Parking can be difficult, try the garage across the street more

I have been a client at the Amaci Salon for three years. I have visited a great deal of downtown salons and my experiences at Amaci have been by far the best quality and most personable. I leave the salon with my hair looking fabulous and in a great mood. Whether I go in for just a cut or coloring, I always receive promt service. If I have specific instructions Amad follows them or if I want him to try something new at his own discretion, it always comes out great! I would definitly recommend booking your next appointment here! They also validate parking which is a great plus!! Pros: Validated Parking, Great service! more

Great Cuts Every Time! 12/21/2007

Every time I go to Amaci I always get a great cut. I highly recommend Amad who I believe is the owner. He cuts my hair wet or dry cut and it is always fantastic! The price for a cut- $50-$60 is a great value for the service. All my friends and coworkers have positive things to say when I come home from Amaci. more
