You shouldn't give a company phone to someone who is going to use it to call and curse out someone. They have this new thing called caller ID and has now cost you business from several potential customers. I was always told be careful how you act in public because it reflects on the company you work for, the same holds true for how you behave on the phone. more

My experience with them was truly horrible. They botched the installation of the unit and in December i could not get my house above 55 degrees. What was unacceptable was that the techs came out and told me that the nature of my unit made it impossible to heat my house. I called the office the next day and explained that I was told my unit wasn't working. As it turned out, the auxillary heating element was never functional. That means the installation techs never tested the unit once they put it in and then lied about it to my face. I went 3 days without heat. I had to call and remind them to fix it; they didn't even prioritize me after installing a faulty unit. Then, my unit wouldn't pass inspection. They did not ground it appropriately. It took 6 weeks and 3 trips for them to fix it. Once, the guy lied and said he had come out and fixed it. The inspector went under the house and said ""no, he didn't."" I had to go to the Better Business Bureau to get them to come back and fix the unit so I could pass inspection. At one point I caught the tech cannibalizing the fuses from my home to fix it because he didn't bring any himself. If it hadn't been the fuse to the outlet that my wifi modem is powered from and the fact that I was currently working on my laptop, I wouldn't have known until too late and then would have had to pay an electrician to come out. . THEN, after 1.5 years, I get a call that states they want to do the 1 year service. the woman on the phone is having a had time comprehending that I have a job and cannot be there at her will. She finally says Friday at 3;30 or 4. I ask which is it, 3:30 or 4? She responds 4. I leave work early, no one shows up. I get a call at 5:15 saying he is on his way. I state, no, I expected this to be done by now, I have things to do. The company claims that they told me anytime after 4. No, I don't run my life that way. I never would have agreed to that on a Friday night. So, I have a shotty system, they do not do the required maintenance, and I am terrified when something goes wrong with this if it is still under warranty. All in all, I missed 9 days of work over this. I really hope I never have to deal with this company again. Worst I have ever encountered. Extremely rude and dishonest. more

Allen Kelly was recommended by a friend ""in the a.c. business"" years ago after I had difficulty with several other companies. I love Allen Kelly & Co! They have always been able to accommodate us in a timely manner and solve problems and fix them immediately. I have a major health issue that does not allow me to go in the heat and humidity AT ALL. They have me on their ""emergency list"". When we've had issues with an older unit, they have responded the same day (squeezed us in at times) and fixed the problem. They installed a new 16-seer unit 4 years ago (when we built an addition to our home) and sent a great sales person, installers and follow-up technicians. If I had an option I would not give this company 1 star. They simply want your money, then turn their back on you. I paid premium price for my HVAC unit, and when I complained that it was not cooling the entire house, I was told by a manger that I was ""fussing."" Unprofessional and incompetent staff. The only reason this company has survived this far is because they are taking peoples hard earned money and selling them lemons. They have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. However, they don't care even 1% for the customer. When you call to complain, they will tell you that you are ""fussing."" Whatever you do, don't do business with this company. BAD IDEA!!! more

I discovered this company through Angie's list and saw that they were highly rated. Their bids were slightly higher than others but having been burned before in other types of construction work, I didn't want to go the cheapo route. In the past, this has cost me more anguish, pain and money in the long run. The sales guy (Bob) was extreme knowledgable and clear (probably because he had worked in the service department for years). Once the order was placed, their lead supervisor came out and did the most thorough assessment that I have ever seen of the job site. His team followup a few weeks later and did the installation. I really have to say that the team was very efficient, thourough and professional. Since they were working the entire day in my attic, I offered some refreshment which they politely refused. They cleaned up well, briefed me throughly on the job and followup a while later once the inspector came out. There was a bit of a delay on the relocation of a flue exhaust vent due to roof icing. However, this was understandable since I certainly didn't someone falling from my second story high pitched roof. Oh and their office person, Angie was great. She was always prompt, followup quickly and did a great job on the communication/planning side. \r \r They installed an upstairs 3 ton Trane AC/heating system. Weeks later I wanted to upgrade my lower level thermostat controller and Bob came out to install it for free. more

Their representative visited our company and he was rude, pushy and arrogant to the receptionist from the beginning. I would not recommend their services on that basis alone. more

Between them and their major supplier (trane) once they have their money they just don't care about service. Initially my experience with them was generally positive but when the unit began to break down while under warranty, and when I refused to let them out of the warranty promises by buying their newest system, service went to awful. Their time promises mean nothing; 'we'll try' means 'we can wait longer than you can'; and forget appointments... This is a very sad organization which appears to have a 'take the money and run' attitude and which takes complete advantage once they have their customer over a barrel. Although they initially misdiagnosed the problem with my system, they came out 2 more times at no charge to me, at no charge and including significant freon. Unfortunately, it was a costly issue, but the salesman was tremendously helpful and provided all alternatives. Work was done very quickly once I decided what to have done. Highly recommended! They also installed 2 systems for a friend of mine (2 separate houses), who referred me to them. Pros: Dependable, punctual, honest, professional Cons: Initially misdiagnosed the problem with my A/C. more

I have used Allen Kelly & Co for years and highly recommend them. I am pretty handy but some jobs are best left to a pro team. Allen Kelly's mechanics are prompt, knowledgeable, do only the work that is needed and at a fair price. Recenty they replaced the gas furnace and A/C coil - condensor in the attic serving the second floor of my home. They took the old system out and installed the new unit in 1 day and left with everything cleaned up - inside and outside the house. You can trust these guys. more
