I went to dine at the Alhambra Palace with my girlfriend on August 28, which was on a Friday. Let me start of by saying that the outside looks like Aladdin's Palace, it's surreal. I walked through the doors and was immediately greeted by smiling faces at the host desk. The friendly staff escorted me to the back where another host took me to my table. Sitting at my table I could not help but to feel the Mediterranean ambiance. My server was a young female with a European accent. She was friendly and very attentive. She suggested we try the Alhambra Platter, wow that was so much food and very delicious. The dessert was to die for, I had a bomba which is a fruit sherbet ball inside white chocolate. My girlfriend had the chocolate pyramid, I tried some and I can just describe it as chocolate fluff goodness.
The best part of the whole night was the free entertainment. They had a belly dance group called Read my Hips, wow these ladies sure could move it. Even though it was CD music I felt their performance. I felt as if I was in right in the center of the Middle East as I enjoyed an authentic performance. I will bring my friends and family here. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was so delicious that thinking about it makes my mouth water. Go Alhambra Palace, there is no other place like this in Chicago!!!
