I visited the new location of Aequis and I have to say the decor is lovely. Although the staff was bending over backward to please me I truly felt that the quality of the massage...

My mom and I went to Aequis for the first time yesterday and we have been going to different spas in town every month trying to find a place that gives us that feeling of loyalty and wish to return. We are now completely in love with this spa. We plan to return next month and make it our monthly spa destination. I had a totally amazing perfect facial with Melanie. My mom had the best massage of her life with Sara. She has chronic shoulder pain that she was amazed was gone that night in bed she could accutually sleep soundly. Great Experience! HEAVEN! 3/17/2005

My wife booked me a spa treatment there for my birthday, and I will admit I was nervous. I've never been to a spa and didn't know if I would feel comfortable. But from the second I walked in, I knew I would love it! My therapist Peppi attended to me every step of the way and gave me an amazing body scrub, steam bath and deep tissue massage. I even got a foot rub and some tea to start. I will definately be going back, and I recommend anyone who truly wants a relaxing experience to go to Aequis. Free trip to Heaven w/o the pain of death 3/17/2005

It wasn't just "a massage" where you go in, take your clothes off, get the massage then put your clothes on and drive home. NOT even close!! You go in, tons of candles, gooey furniture, can shower, put on a huge robe, get a great foot bath/massage followed by aromatherapy session (so they know what what you like for your massage oils) then off to the massage. I drooled. Then time to rest, shower, chill on the couches....... They need to add a hotel room!! Pros: Atmosphere, Customer service, Value for $ more

An out of body experience 3/16/2005

I have recieved two facials from this wonderful spa. Both facials that I recieved were by an esthetician named Melanie. It was such a healing, spirital experience. Melanie's gental movements guided me to a pleasent, relaxing state of mind far away from a world of worries. My skin was so changed by this experience, I purchased a line of product she reccomended and have seen noticeable differences. I highly reccomened Aequis to anyone looking for wonderful treatment, by well trained professionals, in a beautiful atmosphere. more

Best Spa In the World! 3/4/2005

I have been to spas all over the world. This is by far the best spa I have ever been to. The people are sweet, relaxed, comforting and superbly-trained. You start with the ancient art of annointing a guest's feet and after your treatment-of-choice no one chases you out of the spa or tries to sell you anything. Truly Tranquil Experience 2/2/2005

My friend and I have visited Aequis Spa twice and neither of us has been disappointed. The hot stone massage is my favorite. I love the tranquil environment (spiritual/meditative music plays in the background). Prior to the services we received we had our feet cleansed and massaged while sipping on hot herbal tea and ice cold water. I much prefer a tranquil spa experience as opposed to the more typical clinical feel and salon style of many spas. I've visited many other spas and have not felt as pampered or relaxed. The private bathroom at Aequis has complimentary Aveda shower and facial products. There is also a hair dryer. I suggest you bring any other toiletries you like to use. Also, make sure you have good directions as it isn't obviously marked. We've always found parking directly across the street. Pros: peaceful, great massage, close to downtown more

This spa is beautiful, relaxing and friendly. From the moment you walk in the door you will feel a little less stressed and the staff is there to help you on your journey. Fabulous! 1/4/2005

I've had massages before but this topped the charts! I have shoulders and a neck that are constantly sore and tight. My massage was powerful and heavenly relaxing as well. I was greeted by soft speaking staff, a dimly lit entrance and "OM" music. I had a foot soak - exfoliating rub followed by a soft relaxing foot rub with lotion. I was then taken to Peppy's room. She gave me the most fabulous intense deep tissue massage I've ever had! The experience involves a scalp treatment with a hair brushing, aromatherapy oils, and wrapping you into warm down blankets. Afterwards, you can take a shower in the dark, candle-lit bathroom & they have all the Aveda products there to use at no charge. I left on cloud nine and am still feeling results. I'm going back next month again to see Peppy - all this for $125!! Pros: Deep Tissue, Dim lighting, Wonderful Soft Music more

Amazing Space 12/16/2004

I have such a problem relaxing, and though I've enjoyed other massages before I've never had an experience like my facial with Ansley. I had never had a facial before and didn't know what to expect. The treatment that followed blew my mind. My skin has never felt so smooth or healthy. I left the spa glowing. The whole experience was pretty unique, Aequis is very private and cozy and I would love to have the decor in my own home- then maybe I wouldn't be so stressed out all the time. I brought my boyfriend in for a couples massage a few weeks later and that was amazing as well. He was really impressed and has been talking about it ever since. Perfect Service 12/16/2004

I know how to win my wife's heart......and I've done it the past two Christmas's........... and for her Mother on Mother's Day!!! I've gotten them a gift certificate at Aequis (anyone listening.......I would like one please!!!) The packaging changed this year (which I was scared of) but they are even more stunning....... but what really wowed me is I was in a rush...when I called from the car.....they ran it down to me. Perfect service again!!! Also I am still amazed that I can give this gift without worrying my wife about sales pressure - and no tipping! She doesn't worry about a thing. This place is exquisite. Absolutely outstanding spa! 11/28/2004

I'll be asking Santa for another gift certificate this year from Aequis! This spa is absolutely amazing! The staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and VERY professional. They make you feel at home too, it is not at all stuffy. The decor is fabulous and promotes a true feeling of relaxation. I must add that this spa is very well kept and clean. The lovely lady at the front desk even ran out to my car to add more money to my parking meter after I had gone over my alloted time! There was no pressure to purchase any products, which made a nice change. I had a facial, massage, foot treatment and scalp treatment and I feel ABSOLUTELY GREAT! I am still feeling so very relaxed and it has been hours since I was there!! I highly recommend this spa. You will be glad that you went, believe me. more

Practically perfect in every way! 9/28/2004

I just treated a friend and myself to an afternoon at Aequis and we had a simply perfect time. All of the glowing reviews here are accurate as the Aequis staff has perfected the art of gracious hospitality to match their expert skill. The decor and atmosphere are a bit artsy, but the staff's genuine care and apparent belief in what they are offering make it all very comforting. The afternoon I spent here surpasses any other day spa I've tried on the West Coast. And NEVER a sales pitch! I was told by one of the Aequis girls that they would be moving to a new downtown location in the future, and I hope they don't lose the perfect vibe they have created in their uniquely wonderful Pearl District space. I visited Aequis Spa and was so happy to be able to spend time there. I got a pedicure from Tyla, and it was like nothing i'd experienced before! Christmas Bonus Gift Certificates 12/2/2003

After visiting this absolutely fabulous Spa, I had to share the experience with my wonderful office staff. Instead of the ubiquitous block of cheese Christmas bonus, I decided my staff needed to be rewarded with gift certificates to Aequis!! The certificates were extremely easy to purchase. Truly Remarkable Spa Experience 11/29/2003

I had never been to a spa before and was a little nervous about this visit (a birthday gift from my girlfriend). From the moment I walked in the door all doubt left me. Not only was the massage amazing, but the little side perks such as feet washing, herbal tea, silk bathrobes, and post massage shower made this a truly remarkable experience.
