Action was very impressive. The tech was helpful, honest and very professional. I will always use Action.

Worst

Feb 22 Action sent Ryan/Amacor, plumbing experts, who cleared main sewer line from roof in Rose Park and needed 150 foot cable cutter to flush system. However, they left their wor...

Call someone else, After I paid these jokers $250.00 to diagnose then fix my A/C they did not fix it. They agreed to come back out and look again, but did not show up. Set up a third appt for them to come back out and do what they should have done the 1st time around and they did not show up AGAIN. Called back again and when I asked for a manager and was told if no manager was going to get on the phone on no tech would be to my home I wanted my money back, I WAS HUNG UP ON!!! Dont call these guys, what a joke and waste of my time!! more

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Called in the morning asked for someone to come after 3, was told that I could be put on the schedule for that day and to turn off the unit so it will be thawed out for the tech. At 4:45 got a call to say they were running a little late....8:30 rolled around and we called....all they could say is they dropped the ball. Never calling them again. more

Worst Service Ever and the prices are outrageous! I was charged $1753 for 5 hours when any other co would have charged $800-$900. \r If The plumber had checked to see if the city pipes were frozen when he came out he wouldn't have needed to thaw our pipes at all at that time and w e would have been charged for an hour instead after the city thawed theirs. Stupid action plumbing, and they wouldn't even work with us on the bill for being so negligent. more

Outrageous prices and Dishonest!\r Wow, I really wish I would have read these reviews before I used Action, unfortunately we were in a tough spot with our frozen pipes, which Action took advantage of and charged us double what any other company would charge. \r We called action because they give free quotes (but charge double) after the city told us it was our pipes that were frozen. The plumber came out Saturday night and told us the first hour would be $510 and any addtnl hour would be $375! (at the time we didn't realize outrageous this really was). The plumber knew I was very hesitant because it was going to be so expensive so he explained that it would take about 15 min to 1 hour to thaw the pipes. We didn't want our pipes to burst so we had him thaw them. The plumber was very nice but unfortunately he never checked to see if the city pipes were frozen before he started, so he thawed our pipes for 5 freaking hours, coming in the house every so often to touch our pipe inside, which was burning up yet we had no water still. finally he decided to check the city pipes which were frozen. The Plumber wrote up our bill and said ""bad news; I'm charging you full price ($1753), good news; its the cities pipes that are frozen. You need to take this to the city and they will take care of it, if you have any problems with them call me and I will help."" The plumber also told us that if the bill were our responsibility he would have only charged us half of that. \r Well after going back and forth with the city we came to realize that our pipes were frozen and the cities froze because of ours. \r Now we were left with this astronomical bill, so I called action plumbing and spoke with Steve Andreason (who is a complete idiot) and expressed what happen and asked that they honor the price the plumber told us he would've charged if we had been responsible for the bill not the city. Steve absolutely refused to work with us on the bill one bit even after I explained that the plumber didn't check the city pipes first, if he had he wouldn't have been out there for 5 hours, in fact he would have known that thawing our pipes would have been a waste of time. I also told him that the plumber told us that it was going to take 1 hour to thaw and it didn't but he kept thawing without asking if we wanted him to keep thawing and that I had checked around with other plumbing companies whose prices were all in the $800-$900 range for 5 hours ( I found Intermtn heating and air that would have charged about $550 for 5 hours) but Steve wouldn't budge. \r All in all their prices are way to high, and they are dishonest! more

Water Softener works again 4/30/2013

Last week we called Action to get our water softener cleaned out. There was grimy stuff all over the dishes and the tub. We tried cleaning it from home, but it was just too much for us to handle. We called Action Plumbing and they were able to come out yesterday and clean the water softener in just under an hour. Good pricing and they took my coupon. The tech even showed us some tricks to maintain the water softener ourselves. more

DO NOT USE ACTION PLUMBING! Backed up sewer line on a Sunday: charged $700 to clean out. Plumber left crap and other material from sewer line flung throughout walk-in closet, on walls, covering closet door and doorframe, all over carpet, on a body pillow, and boxes (we had just moved in the day before). Machine he used also gouged 2 grooves in our new wood trim on stairs as he dragged it up and down (he refused my husband's assistance). We didn't find all this for a week, since we couldn't go downstairs during cleanup (flood was on other side of basement - no where near sewer cleanout stub). When I finally talked with customer service rep he told me I should have called them, cause they have a service that would have cleaned up. He took no reponsibility for the plumber's lack of professionalism or the fact it shouldn't have happened in the first place. When I asked why the plumber hadn't asked us to move things or take the time to cover things with plastic, he avoided the question and repeated that I should have called and blamed me for waiting so long to contact them. Then he wanted to know if we wanted to cancel our free service agreement.....classless! more

Water heater runs great now! 2/22/2013

I thought the Groupon was too good to be true for the water heater flush. I thought, why not, can't hurt. It turns out Action was a huge help. They only came and did the flush, but the tech gave me some tips on how to maintain the water heater and how often it should be cleaned. Easy to book the appointment and he showed up within the window that they said they would. more

I just heard another one of your commercials. I am getting so tired of hearing ""hot water heater flush"". It is not now nor has it ever been a ""hot water heater"". Why would you heat hot water? Are you making steam? It is simply a water heater. If you do not even know what it is called why would I trust you to service it. Please fix your commercials. more

Never ever again, called Action Plumbing to have sewer line rooted, tech said couldn't fix, didn't make blades that could make turns. Would need to replace whole sewer line for approx $8k. He said he cleared enough roots to stop backup for awhile charged $240 and left. One hour later had sewer water coming into my home. Called Discount Rooter, he came within a hour fixed the problem within 30 minutes, $150 later left with issue fixed. I have been told Action techs work on commission so they want to make as much money as they can. In talking to Action management they gave me 20% off the $240 and offered discount to replace sewer pipe. Totally unacceptable! more

Awful, awful, awful.\r \r I called them on a Thursday morning because my furnace went off. They said they would come during the day, but when they hadn't shown by noon, I called and asked what the time frame was, and they said that they were running very late and that they were ""pushing"" to have us serviced that day. I asked if they were sure they were going to come, because I was going to call somebody else, but they said ""no, we're pushing for today, so we should be there."" At about six they called back and said that they weren't going to make it. I asked if they were sure they were coming, because we'd already frozen our butts off the previous night without a furnace, and they kept saying ""We're pushing for tomorrow."" I asked if there was a chance they weren't coming. They kept saying ""we're pushing.""\r \r The next day they hadn't shown up by three, so I called and asked when they were coming, and they said ""We're running late, but we're PUSHING for today."" By this time I asked if they were positive that they were going to come, because I didn't want to freeze until Monday. They kept insisting that they were PUSHING it, and never even gave me a possibility of them not making it. By five they called and asked what my availability was on Monday, because they weren't going to make it. \r \r So, I wasted two whole days waiting for these guys and they never showed up. I have never seen this lack of professionalism. I can't even believe that they thought I was just going to wait until Monday for them! I said ""No thanks,"" hung up, and called Mountain Air because it was what came first on Google. They came within the hour and fixed the furnace in about ten minutes more

Customer beware of this company!!!!! We called Action to perform a furnace simple tune-up and they said that we needed to do a cleaning of everything and quoted $600. I had 3 other Heating companies look at it and they all said that the furnace did need to be cleaned, but Action was including things that didn't need to be fixed. We also noticed a banging sound whenever our furnace turned on, after the tune-up, and one of the other Heating Tech's suspected that the Action service tech left the motor off balance so we would have to call Action back. The service tech, Todd, from Action did show up on time, but when we presented a $33 coupon for a furnace tune-up (that I printed from Action's website) he said in a rude voice ""You have got to be kidding me"". Worst customer service ever! I will NEVER use Action again!\r I ended up spending $175 for a thorough cleaning with another company (Essential Heating and air) and the furnace works great, no problems whatsoever! more

Short story: Terrible customer service & the tech never showed up.\r \r Long story: I made an appointment with the merchant (Action Plumbing, Heating & Air) on Oct. 1, 2012 after purchasing this Groupon. I understand that it can take awhile to get an appointment, and Oct. 29, 2012 was the earliest slot they had available. They gave me a 3-hour (12pm-3pm) window of time within which the tech was supposed to come out to do the work. I live alone, therefore I had to be home in order to let them into the house. I took a half day off work, just to do this.\r \r I called them this morning to make sure the appointment was still going to be honored and they confirmed it, but said the tech would likely not be there until closer to the end of the time window. I left work around 1:30pm, just to make sure I would be there when they arrived. I waited until 3:10pm when their dispatcher called me and said the tech would be leaving their most recent appointment and would be on their way to me next.\r \r I waited. I waited some more. Finally, at 5:21pm I called the merchant. The dispatcher (Elizabeth) told me that they might still make it to my house today, but wasn't sure if, or when that might happen. She said there were nine calls in front of me. How did I go from being next, to ninth I wondered? She asked if I would prefer to reschedule. The next available appointment is in early December. A mere five additional weeks out. No joke, that was her offer.\r \r This is some of the worst customer service I have experienced (other than perhaps Comcast). I tried to explain to her my side of the situation, but she basically brushed me off.\r \r I would recommend you never work with Action Plumbing, Heating & Air. My experience has been a huge waste of my time. It has left me frustrated and I am still without heat. This weekend it snowed outside and the temps dipped to a low of 47 degrees inside! They were lovely sleeping conditions, but it was a bit of a challenge to motivate out of my cocoon in morning. more

\r I purchased a furnace check up through deals for action heating and air a few weeks ago. I scheduled an appointment with them for today (made the appointment nearly 3 weeks ago). After I took the day off, they didn't show up at the time they told me and then called to reschedule the appointment saying they had emergencies come up, they said that they would put us on the ""standby"" appointments tomorrow and if they didn't get out, they would reschedule us for November! How many days I am supposed to take off work for them to finally show up? This company is poorly ran, unethical, and a scam. more

This is my first time renting property. I called Action to come check the furnace and water heater to make sure everything was running correclty. Their fees were ok and of course it helped I had a coupon. The service person was professional and did exactly what he said he was gong to do. more

I know it?s a bit early to start thinking about making sure my furnace is working correctly, but the night?s are getting pretty cold up here in the mountain so I gave Action a call. They had a great deal running and the furnace is ready to run when we decide to finally put it on \r more
