I had a leaking faucet that was causing a big mess. Action was able to come up and fix it right away. They didn't make me wait until the next day or give me a big window of time. Just called when they were on their way and my problem was solved. Will definitely call again! more

I hired Action Plumbing to install a new AC unit, replace my old furnace, remove my swamp cooler and replace the cooler with an attic fan. \r \r When they patched the old swamp cooler hole in my hallway, the job was half-assed. About 9 months later, I discovered a leak from when they installed the attic fan. When I called to inform them of the water damage, they sent someone out to look at it. The person said ""I don't see any water stains"". I was like ""are you serious""? The drywall was soft to the touch, and there was a distinct yellow ""square"" where my swamp cooler vent used to be. After pointing out the obvious to the technician, he told me that he would send out the person who performed the work to take a look at it. \r \r After 1 month and 3 phone calls, I finally got the person out that did the work installing the attic fan and drywall. He said that the drywall ""isn't really that bad...just put a fresh coat of paint over the water stains"". He went on the roof and put a can of roof-patch (tar stuff) around the flashing of the attic fan and he said that I was ""good to go"". He refused to repair the water damage that was caused by impropper installation of the attic fan.\r \r There are about a dozen other smaller things that proved this company to be unethical and dishonest. I will never use them again, but I WILL be sure to spread my story around :) more

$50 When a company lies to you from the very get go it is so hard to defend. I am going through a divorce. The father of my children assaulted me three weeks ago. He has not given me ANY money. I am barely keeping my house running! My a/c broke and I did not know what to do. I called Action because I had a $50 off coupon. My two children were so hot in the house. I needed someone to treat me fair and get air back in my home. They over charged me and too add complete insult to everything else DID NOT HONOR THEIR OWN $50 off coupon. I need that $50 to eat. I called the management of Action and they refused to budge! more

Thursday my cooler started to blow warm air I called around and the cheapest (I thought) was Action plumbing. The Tech came by that night and put 1 lb of freon in it to recharge I paid $105.00 and he left. He never checked to see if it would hold the charge . The next day about 12 pm when my cooler was supposed to run again, warm air. I called the tech and he said I must have a leak and said it would be $650.00 to fix, I said thanks any way. Then I call the office to ask about the price and they told me they would have a manager call me back. I waited and finally got a call back and was informed that the manager was on vacation and somebody else would call me back. I finally got a call back around 8pm and was told they wanted to make it right and asked if I would be willing to have a differant tech come by the following day at 10 am, I said yes. Then they called about 9 am the following day and said the tech would be here between 1030 and 1200. It is now 130 pm and nothing, I waited until 230 pm when I finally got a call from the tech. He proceceded to tell me how the $650.00 price was a min. and it would probably be more, I told him my neighbor got his fixed for $250.00, All he wanted to know is who it was, why?. What should it matter to him who it was? He tried to tell me how big his company was and the people I was looking at must be a small company and will be out of busnisess soon , Really? Not once did anyone say that the money I had already paid would go to the new service I just got screwed out of $105.00 and nothing! except still sweating. I did use the other company and guess what, 3 hours work the leak found and fixed. The cooler was compleatly empty and they had to put 6 lbs. of coolant in. This company has been in business for 15 years and the first words out of their mouth was if the fix we do doesn't work the money I paid can be used toward a new unit. The total cost $300.00 more

My air conditioning unit was being quite loud and wasn't working properly so after seeing a commercial for action I decided to call them and have them come out. The man who fixed my air conditioning unit was very nice. It isn't every day that your able to talk to a repair man and they are nice and willing to talk back and aren't solely worried about getting the job done and getting out of there. more

We called and scheduled our service about a month in advance. They were supposed to come at the end of June, the time when the a/c is definitely necessary. I waited at home during the time they had specified and about an hour into it they called to reschedule my appointment for the end of August!!! I wanted to charge them a cancellation fee. I had set aside that time and if they needed to reschedule they should have done it much earlier, I left plenty of time. And the end of August?! Summer is practically over! If I want my a/c in good working order I want it done before I start using it, not after. They didn't apologize or try to work with me at all. The most they did was say they'd still accept my coupon that expires in July. Action has lost me as a customer. more

Action installed an air conditioning unit for us back in February. After they left, our furnace wouldn't work, they came back 2 days later to fix the furnace (2 cold days later I should mention) and then as it got warm around the middle of June we tried using the new air conditioner, it also did not work AND when we turn it on, the unit outside squeals VERY loudly for the first 5 or 10 minutes it is on but still is does not blow cold air. We have now been waiting 'on the list' for over 3 days for someone to come and fix the unit. A unit that I will repeat, they installed and it never worked in the first place! I am pregnant and we have a 2 year old and we are both MISERABLE! I will NEVER use Action again!! more

I called Action Plumbing Heating and Air on a Friday afternoon to set up a time to come fix my broken air conditioner. Their advertizing said they were open on Saturday which is what I wanted--so I could get it fixed the next day. They would not give me a firm time but said they would put me on the ""on call"" list and would call me 30 minutes before they come (on Saturday). I never got a call. I called them around 3:00 pm in the afternoon on Saturday to see why they haven't called and was told that they probably wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday. Now it's Monday afternoon and I still haven't gotten a call. These people have purposely been stringing me along so that I'll continue to wait for their service rather than tell me they can't do it for a while and then me going to another company that can do it quicker. Please just tell me when you're going to be able to get to it. I beleive this is an unethical way to do business. I will go elsewhere--even if I now have to tack on a day or to. more

I originally called action to fix a water pipe that had broken off. Action arrived promptly to fix the pipe. Almost a year later as part of their service plan they installed and fixed my Swamp Cooler. The tech had tweaked the pipe causing a water leak in my basement. I called Action to come and fix the pipe and was quoted a price to fix the pipe they had originally repaired in the first place. I explained to them what had happened they had sent a tech out who not even looking at the leak or inspecting the pipe says the pipe had burst. (Which it had not burst) I called back to speak to a supervisor and was told it takes 24-48 hours to respond to a customer by Nichole. I explained my water is off and the pipe needs to be fixed ASAP. She refuses to help me and states it takes 24-48 hours for a supervisor to call. The plumber I had called to fix Actions mistake notices the connection and shows me where the tech made a mistake. I had taken the pipe also down to the local plumbing store who also acknowledged the faulty fitting and the low quality pipe installed. On Monday I still had not received a call from Action and had called Nichole who stated it would be another 24-48 hours for a supervisor to call back. On Tuesday I finally receive a call back from a supervisor who gives me the runaround and asks me to call him back with the information he requested. I called him back the same day and was told he was in a meeting and they would take a message. I left a message and still by Wednesday not received a call back. I contacted Action again and was told he was on a job and it would take another 24-48 hours to get a call. I told them it was unacceptable and I wanted a manager on the phone. Action finally put a manager on the phone who refused to assist me resolve my problems then went to the length of insulting the customer by asking ""Do you speak English"" I explained to the manager this was no way to treat a customer and left a message for the original Manager I was working with to call me. A week later Action refuses to take responsibility for their work or their actions. After a week of talking they still state it was not their fault and refuse to help the customer. I had to pay another company to fix their mistake. They refuse to even compensate the customer for the parts or labor due to their mistake. The management has been rude unwilling to work with the customer. Not returning calls Insulting the customer with racially charged insults. And all around negligent work carried out by their employee who caused water damage to my basement. And a unwillingness to take care of the problem they had caused in the first place. more

Our main sewer line gets blocked with tree roots on occasion, We called Action Plumbing and they would not give us a quote over the phone. When their service man arrived, he gave a cornucopia of reasons why the job would be difficult. He then gave us a quote of between 469.00 to 1100.00 dollars depending on how hard he would have to work. We called three other places and eventually had the job done for 136.50 by Electric Plumbing & Sewer Rooter with a one month warranty. It took them 1/2 an hour to complete the job. Apparently the job was not that difficult. Will not call Action Plumbing again. more

After checking out many places to fix my heater and going through the ins and outs I ended up going with these guys because they had a low price and were able to come out quick. I don't know much about heaters but I was just glad they were able to come out the next day and were very nice about everything. They fixed it then and there and didn't need to come back another day just to bring back a part they didn't have. Now I am able to relax in a warm home and that is what makes me happiest. more

I call them for a backed up drain. The guy who came was very nice..BUT he had to call for price..it cost $769 for snaking 2 toilets, they were supose to go to the main line but didnt. They cracked one toilet, and did not replace it. They left saying i needed to replace pipe under the house. Flooded again that night, had them come back. Snaked again, but not to the street.\r I called the next day as the toilet was now not flushing and we dint have a toilet in the main bathroom..the said it may be an extra charge..i said..almost $800 for a snake job??? They said that was not there department and the plumbing manager was not in. But the did come out with 2 guys and worked on the main line. i am still wiht out a funtioning toilet, but thanks to a friend, we got another toilet for the main bathroom\r Run from these guys as fast as you can...... more

Before you call those guys, EXTRA CAUTION!! Those guys from action plumbing are dishonest and tricky. They are very good with persuading you with a lot of inflated problems, dangers and code violations. Last time they came to my place to fix a broken pipe. They told me the estimated cost was 700$ and it was expensive fix since there was recall with pipes and possible big blooding coming soon. And they have to spend almost 300 dollars to buy the parts. Later on, my friend who is plumber told me that it is a simple fix with typical 150$ for labor and parts. Don't trust them! more

On a saturday evening my sewer line got clogged up i called three companies to get estimates to come and snake the sewer line. Electric Drain($185 saturday rate flat fee) and Rooter Wizard (200 an hour saturday rate PLUS $50 extra if the toilet gets pulled) and Action plumbing ($479 for an hour and $50 more if they have to pull the toilet). \r So i called Electric Drain back and they came out within an hour and were at my house for 4 hours until finally getting the line cleared (tree roots were the problem) \r \r \r SO DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ACTION PLUMBING!!! more

After not being able to fix my furnace by myself I had to resort to calling someone in. I found Action and had them come out and they were very nice. I was able to ask them any questions I had and they were so nice to answer all of my questions. They did a great job in such a short time. I was very impressed. more
