I love 13 Coins, don't get me wrong. But for the most part, the last 15 years have seen a pretty serious decline in the quality of the food/service, and well, pretty much everything about the Coins. Personally, I think the one by Sea-Tac has probably weathered the changes better, but Downtown's 13 Coins still has charm...besides, where else can someone get filet and lobster at 3:00 AM?? It might be old, it might be pricey, but I think the Coins will be here for many years to come... Another world 7/26/2002

The later the hour, the better it tastes. It's retro dinner theater - sitting at the counter or in a booth watching the action and the mix of people. Don't expect too much from the food, just sit back & enjoy the ride... a bit pricey? maybe, but it includes a floor show. more

Best place for steak and eggs at 3 am, but don't sit in the dining room area in the back - take a booth seat at the counter! more

70's lounge radness 6/23/2002

Thirteen coins is the place where all the late-night professionals go and when you walk in it seems like you are in Boogie Nights. However, the food is pretty yummy in a certain way and the anti pasto is a winner! It's pretty rad to watch them cook the food, too. more
